dude, i got that heritage with the gold cap today....unbelievable. i think this is the best deal i ever got out of every fragrance i ever purchased lol. by the way, i have to disagree with the people who say danger pour homme smells "a lot like" this. i think more accurately danger pour homme is 100% a total ripoff and copy of heritage, but still doesnt match the guerlain even with its $400 bottle. kinda pissed me off that i bought danger first lol. lll prob sell my danger and get more heritage haha.

Gold cap Heritage EDT is a top ten fragrance of all time... it is my favorite masculin Guerlain of all time & I think its the Magnum Opus of masculins JPG created.... and the complexity for a fragrance lover is swoon worthy 💪🐏
@RamseytheRam yeah dude, i had no real experience with heritage formerly, and its instantly competing with cosmair polo which is my favorite. I give you the credit haha you sang the praises

I see you have a demascus knife there 👀 that's another of my expensive hobbies 😂 i own about 45 knives. If you're a snob about steels like i am look into magnacut one of the best steels out there known for its excellent edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. An EDC knife i carry quite a bit is from Spyderco called Military 2 salt G-10 CPM Magnacut. An absolute monster of a knife. 😊

Always enjoy a good unboxing! Looking to add a couple Roja's to make my Fetish less lonely, but these ones I completely ignore tbh, even samples, it's too silly with the prices. Nice to hear your take on them though. Btw, just got Unutamam by Nishane, would love to hear your thoughts on it eventually!

Hence the 7.5 ml discovery atomizer, but yeah sometimes price is just silly... and here I feel its just 1330 bucks because... this is one of those scents... a true Veblan good, its expensive therefore it is more deserable... If it was 30 bucks like Encre Noire... there would be 1000s of bottles lying around and no one would want them 😅😅😅

It's been a while since I tried this but if I rmeember right it does indeed have something missing that makes this a little bit of a bore, which for the price really doesn't fly. The other two are far better fragrances.

Hi Ramsey, because of the toned down rum note that’s what made it wearable yet stays elegant for me(I’m a woman), it has just enough gourmand touch without being a boozy rum sugar bomb. I do agree they missed an opportunity to add civet note!! I’d be even more wild for it. With PDNL line my preference is 2>1>3

Nice review! I have this ( bought at 55% discount brand new in the UK) and love it, but you are right, the rum note is not prominent. The king of Roja rum fragrances, or maybe all Roja boozy fragrances, is Pierre de Velay 4, where rum is a major base note. You should order some PdVs and do some reviews. I take you as a PdV 1 and 47 type guy. 😅
I have never reviewed any PdV frags on the channel... but I wont buy a sample set... I have so much to talk about already on the channel I am so behind so many reviews to so and so little time .. some will have to fall in my lap 😅

Thank god for yearly bonuses. This is one of my holy grail fragrances and I just purchased a bottle. Was able to get a BNIB for $500 which is worth it for my taste.

Ramsey, I've got to make a confession. I cheated on you. Yep, I did. I can not tell a lie. Please don't be mad and please forgive me. I watched your friend, Eugen, on the U Smells Good channel. I asked Eugen this question: "What is your favorite woody/smoky scent and why?" Without a pause he said, "Chanel, Sycamore" and "Diptyque, Tam Dao." I immediately ordered samples. My favorite of the two was Tam Dao. I liked both but Sycamore has this acrid note to it which is slightly off putting. Would I buy either of them? No. I'm not blown away. They kind of smell fake? I'm still trying to recover from the first time I smelled Russian Adam's, Malik Ai Taif. My head is spinning and I don't know what to think of it. I could tell, however, that the fragrance is made from real things, which I can say was extraordinary. To my nose, Sycamore and Tam Dao smell synthetic, but I don't know how synthetic they are. Ramsey, I have the same question for you. "What is your favorite woody/smoky scent and why? 🙏🏼
God that is an impossible question ... you are in good hands with Eugene he has been doing this a lot longer than me... actually he has 3 perfumes I think you should smell... if u order one sample from his website he sends you all 3 ... lesabstraits is his brand... the woody smokey scent you should try is called Des Cendres... you will be blown away I think...but you might like Belle Ame or La Douleuer Exquise better ... LDE is my favorite Rose Patchouli 🌹
@@RamseytheRam Done! I ordered a sample of Des Cendres. I wonder why Eugen didn't suggest this? Maybe it's not very woody or smoky? Oh my gosh, my desk drawer is getting full of samples. It's so funny, and I don't even call myself a perfume guy. Still, I'm on a mission to find my signature scent. I love the idea of going the natural route with Russian Adam or Amouage but might as well learn as much as I can and see what else is out there. Excited to get my first Eugen perfume! I love the utter simplicity of his perfume bottles too. Labels and font are perfect. Thank you.
Do report back and let me know what you make of them...I think Antoine Lie is a brilliant perfumer and the materials are amazing... they use the same oil house as Les Indemodables and Eris Parfums... so if you like Les Abstraits check those brands out
@@RamseytheRam I will report back. Also, I wanted to report back on Areej Le Dore's Gulab attar, pink rose in sandalwood. I like it. I like more than the synthetic samples I've gotten. It smells real, for whatever it's worth. Maybe it's too simple or not simple enough? I'm kind of talking nonsense. Would I order it again? Probably not. I also have samples of Frederic Malle's Portrait of a Lady, Carnal Flower, and Musc Ravageur. Nice but still uncertain. Maybe I'm just overwhelmed.
@@davidhunternyc1Des Cendres is very woody and very smoky. I imagine Eugen is trying too hard to be modest :) If you like classic green mossy leathery mens fragrances amped up then it will work for you.
Pdln1 is my grail fragrance. No2 is pretty soft projecting but i just wore it this weekend and it lasted from 9am till 7pm when i went to play poker that night people still said they could smell it. Id highly suggest trying harrods parfum pour homme, currently my second favorite scent of all time.

I wish you had a review when I was making my decision 3 years ago. The performance vs price is the worst in my entire collection. I own #3 as well. The performance is better but not by more than a couple hours.

@@RamseytheRam It's a very small museum in Berkeley CA with just about every raw material you can think of along with an antique perfume book library and equipment. If you ever find yourself in the bay area, it's a must visit.
