this is absolute ginormous of a video, im only at 4:40 and im just pleasantly surprised of this so far ; That's such a cool way to present so many retro racing games "supra in game", the image of the quality is soooo good as well, i know it that its only possible to have such good image with an emulator , but i might be wrong and could this be the real hardware and a capture card ? ill ask some friends to check your work.. im not the best at knowing a lot on Retro but its one of my favorite Gaming subject .. i think im remembering some old 1999 need for speed that had a Supra, but im only starting the video, thats why i didnt see that game yet
Thank you, so glad you enjoy watching the videos, I'm not exactly sure of the video quality you can get from using game capture cards on the original hardware but i think it is possible to achieve it. I mainly record the games through emulation as it just allows me to work faster as many of the games are difficult to get due to the high prices, so emulation is the easiest way. I have a few more videos like this with other cars that I will have out soon. Yea, I like to try different ideas with videos as am always trying to improve. I have a few other channels that I work on and create content for also & they have allowed me to get better at video editing etc. The links to my other channels are on the front channel page if you want to check them out also. I love retro gaming also & the original PlayStation is my favourite console of all time.
@@theracinggameenthusiast i just finished watching the video and OMG i didnt even read that its all Playstation1 games....., werent game companies in greater number before and without carying of competition? today it seems like only several game franchises dominate the market...... WRC, NFS, Forza, GT (kinda dead) and some rarer like GRID, F1 {EA stuff mostly} ? its a big question, but do u feel like there's less racing games like this now ? and by THIS i mean simply racing in a game without trying to make the game super unique or special. im personally waiting for Dakkar game, "dakkar desert rally"
Yea i agree, there were a lot more development companies around back in the 90's & early 2000's but many have either closed or have been bought out by the big companies so now they are tied to them and are no longer allowed to fully experiment with ideas which is a shame. The marketplace is mainly dominated by big publishers, that its only the online indie devs that create the experimental games but they too always seem to only ride the wave of where the trends are as that makes the most money which is fair but yea i would like to see more experiments like these older ps1 games as they present something that big budget games just can't achieve. That's why i love checking itch io as devs are creating awesome demos & games with these experiments & they show that you don't need to keep up with the big devs to create fun games. The PS1 was my 1st entry into 3d gaming but its the experiment's and ideas that were being tried out that i love, that's what made it so appealing, even the lesser quality of games had something to share. The PS1 has an incredible amount of games that appeal to so many gamers as with the PS2, that's the main reason behind starting my other channels to explore old & new games while sharing opinions & stories on them which is epic. I have played a few Dakar games, some of them are quite good.
Absolutely, it is my all time favourite console that has an incredible amount of cool racing games & many never knew about them as most of the games were only released in Japan. Well worth revisiting.
@@theracinggameenthusiast well for me it was the first destruction derby, i could not believe it looked like a real arcade game so i bought the ps1 and it was and still is a wonderful game!
Awesome, i agree, love the 1st Destruction Derby game, it was one of the 1st games i played on the PS1 on a demo. I still go back to play it every so often, just so many great memories of that & Destruction Derby 2.
