just got this feeder love it just wanted to add that you don't need the 3 D batteries, you just have it plug into a portable mini charger (like for cell phones) and if the power goes out it will use the mini charger
I just got this feeder, and my cat was able to manually dispense food on the first day by resting his paw on the touch sensors! He has not replicated this finding. It’s a good feeder.
I came upon your review to see how to clean it! The cleaning is very simple! I had one cat who didn’t care about food at all and one who would anxiously wait for hours for dispensing! I bought two of these and put one up high so the overeater couldn’t get to her brother’s. I also put a clay flower pot over the top of one just so she wouldn’t try to upend it. No complaints at all! I love them and they definitely helped to cut down on free-feeding overeating.

Purchased this feeder around 9 months ago. But Petlibro wouldn't stand behind their product and honor their 12 month warranty they offer after my unit stopped operating. Stating my only option was to buy a new feeder. Such a shame because I liked their products.
I got my pet feeder and water fountain literally just 2 days ago and I have reached out to them explaining that I was missing a piece for the water fountain to function properly and so I didn’t even get to use it as the pet feeder is garbage and that would like to start a return they haven’t got back to me. I have reached out to them 3 separate times they have respond saying they have a lot of requests which sounds like a whole bunch of bs what is there to figure out I have the product didn’t like it and would like to send it back. They can respond to me/ the email but can’t say anything about me returning the product. I will be putting them on blast on everything if they don’t get back to. Ain’t no way I’m paying 200 dollars for Garbage stay away From this company and product it’s trash. Also for anyone considering buying this all the good features are locked behind a subscription which cost 60 dollars a month or 120 for a year. Wtf would i pay 60 a month every month and the only other option was 120 annual like I already spent 200 on the fountains and the pet feeder. I also them that their subscription was crazy and that at most i would pay is 10 dollars a month for the subscription.
My cat got diagnosed with sugar sickness last week [Diabetes] and I am terribly afraid he might get low on sugar whilst I would be away for work. Just received the 5L white granary feeder through Amazon. Noticed that the portion control fluctuates. Ran the feeder 20 times at the P-01 level. The amount I received fluctuates between 19 grams and 54 grams, because the feeder can’t dispense the same portion, I am thinking of returning it.
Oooh thank you for this comment! My cat is on a food restriction diet atm due to some health issues we are monitoring. Fluctuating meal sizes would definitely be a big downside to this product.
I ordered this feeder yesterday and it came in today, I set it up for my kitties, and it’s pretty cool, like you said, I have to play with the portions, I have 2 kitties, but got a single bowl unit, they’re use to sharing, once I have it dialed in, I’ll be able to go see my honey and not have to worry if the girl I pay to feed them wet food, showed up, great video, it answered a few questions I had that wasn’t in the paperwork. @@DMuchnik It's great. I found that you don't really need the Wi-Fi version, so you can save yourself a few bucks. Just schedule it according to your cat's needs and you're set. It's hard to see yourself going back to serving every meal, honestly. Your cat shouldn't take too long to learn that every time it goes off, it's grub time.
Love the channel and this is the feeder I chose because of your in-depth reviews, so it's YOUR FAULT that widdle fluffikins is on reduced nosebag. He's ABUSED and STARVING and IT'S ALL TERRIBLE! But just for anyone watching, you don't have to go through the whole process with the clock etc. The manual doesn't tell you and I found out by accident, but you can just bypass by using the plus button. So you unlock then press + until you get where you want to be THEN press setting and go into changing just that part. If you go too far, just press - to go back a step. You save all of ten seconds rather than starting at the beginning and clicking through until you get where you want to be, but it comes up a lot in reviews. And it saves you changing something by accident if you can go straight to the programme you want to adjust. It's hard to describe but if anyone sees this and wants a step-by-step, just comment and I'll do the honours. I'm still working it out myself and only found out by accident, so it's really not clear. Often down the stairs...my brother is exactly the same except he gives it five seconds then raaaaarghhh and my SiL mutters darkly about divorcing us both. Tis a great feeder tho. Fluffikins disagrees because shouting at it doesn't work so he comes to beat me up, but I'm fairly sure he loves it more than me. I have rendered myself redundant in the cat/huminion interface 😁
A big problem is preventing raccoons from dragging, resetting, or damaging the feeder if left outside on the deck area, i.e. if going on vacation and leaving the cat. I have to attach it to a heavy board with strong brackets and put strong masking tape over the dials to prevent raccoons from resetting the feeding times.
@@jonathonE Hey, my cats and I love it. So much that I bought a second one for my master bedroom. The product is just amazing. Very high quality, you can buy D batteries and it keeps all the setting and stays working even when the power is out (which is a common thing where I live), keeps the food very fresh, it gives a window of time of about a week or more if you are feeding two cats, it looks very nice, the sound is minimal, after programming it there is no need to change any setting, I LOVE IT!

My cats have not been able to get food out, neither take the thing down 😂 I put is in a corner and they just go to eat when they want or hear the little kibbles dropping. I cannot express how satisfied I am with this purchase. Since I have a couple of cats, waking up to feed the bunch is a hassle, especially at 5am. But with these feeders the cats have their own schedule and I only have to check that the bowl stays clean and the feeder stays full. 100% recommend. Just buy the D batteries in advance if you have power issues and be patient with programming it because it can "feel" complicated when it really isn't. Once you move beyond that part, the rest is beautiful.

Hey Malary, between the wifi and the camera version which one would you suggest considering the reliability and consistency? I can do without monitoring my cats on the camera but it’s good to have features, not a deal breaker.
I feed my kittin wet food and mix in a small scoop of good quality dry food to help slow her down and to help her lose those baby teeth. But work hss been getting busy again for the season and I've been getting home later and later so I want to make sure she has something eat while I'm gone in the afternoon and at night before I can feed her her wet food. I just want something that's just going to do one task constantly and this seems to do the trick. And it's not going to break the bank or look awful. Thanks you've been a big help. 😂

I got the feeder and it is really nice. Question though, after the 6th feeding session from the settings Is it going to repeat the feeding sessions that you setted before or I need to redo the settings again for each day?
I bought the wifi feeder. Honestly, huge mistake. The wifi is not stable at all and as I can see in the reviews on their website and on reddit, I'm not the only one saying this. Sometimes, less tech is better! Returned it and bought the standard feeder without wifi.
I had this Wi-Fi feeder for two months now, and today an automatic firmware update killed it. No way to feed the cat by using auto or manual, scheduled feeding task were gone. Now I need to figure out how to get support from this.

It works good for my two cats at the biggening. Problem with this feeder is that thousands of ants gets into the inside feeder then my cats unable to eat the food. It would be nice if there is Anti Ants futured.

What kind of plugs is delivered with this cat feeder? And does anyone know if it's posssible to use it with a European plug? (Specifically Type C or Type F/Schuko)
It comes with a 5V DC adapter, so you should be able to plug the USB type A into any adapter that works with your outlets. Sorry it took me so long to reply!
It's similar to a lot of other popular bowls but may be a smidge too small for some cats; any cat who seems to prefer wide, open bowls or even plates may be better off using something else.
We just purchased the Petlibro Granary model. You did a fantastic job describing different aspects of its function; however, there is one confusing function that had me baffled and was finally resolved through the manual instructions (not the small start-up instructions)--the "manual feeding" section. After the clock and feeding times are set, press the settings button to indicate you are done programming. If you decide to give some kibble for a snack or an additional dispersement, you must first push the unlock button on the left to allow the manual feed button to work. Once the snack is dispersed, then press the lock settings button on the right for 3 seconds to activate your previously chosen feeding times. Your settings and portions will not be affected--they were saved. I don't believe you mentioned having to unlock the screen first nor that you could use the unlock button to scroll through chosen setting to check or change your portions. You seemed to say that you had to redo all settings to change just one. Thank you for all your help. These are the few things not addressed, and I thought this comment may help others wondering why the manual feed is not working.
Hi Marisa, yes, it works best with smaller kibble, but as long as those chunks are smaller than a typical piece of dog kibble (maybe 1 - 1.25 cm in diameter), they should fit.
Hello, im looking food dispenser for my rabbit. do you think it works for rabbit pellets like brit for example, is it only indcated for cat advice from your experience with the product.
i feed my kitty ziwi peak - would this work with flat square type kibble? some automatic feeders over/under dispense portions depending on the feeder's mechanisms so I have been having difficulty finding a feeder that would work for my cat
never mind - looks like the dispensing mechanism is top-down vs the PetSafe 24-cup automatic feeder which has a conveyor mechanism (which jams Ziwi Peak kibble). Placing an order and fingers crossed it works! my 5-portion automatic feeder has done well but washing the plastic tray every 4 days is not ideal... (my cat only eats dry food in the AM)
I am currently thinking about buying an automated litter box. Has anybody tried the Petkit Pura X? There are not a lot of reviews but some of them say it is better than the Litter Robot 3. What do you think about that?

Lets see if that is also the case after a month. Funny is that both of my cats only use the robot now and completely ignore the two normal litter boxes. I would stay away from PetLibro, the right and the left hand for customer service have no clue what they are doing. I don't like the $12 cost tor return one of the two items that under warranty. Try another feeder to avoid frustration and hours of headaches

The top does have a locking lid so I'd guess so. I have the granary auto feeder and the lid does lock well and is protected from insects
Yes! It has a really good seal; I can't imagine insects being able to get in there.
On their website it states "insect and poacher proof".

Isn't the diameter of the bowl too small? I have an exotic cat and it's the only concern I have
It's similar to a lot of other popular bowls but may be a smidge too small for some cats; any cat who seems to prefer wide, open bowls or even plates may be better off using something else.

We just purchased the Petlibro Granary model. You did a fantastic job describing different aspects of its function; however, there is one confusing function that had me baffled and was finally resolved through the manual instructions (not the small start-up instructions)--the "manual feeding" section. After the clock and feeding times are set, press the settings button to indicate you are done programming. If you decide to give some kibble for a snack or an additional dispersement, you must first push the unlock button on the left to allow the manual feed button to work. Once the snack is dispersed, then press the lock settings button on the right for 3 seconds to activate your previously chosen feeding times. Your settings and portions will not be affected--they were saved. I don't believe you mentioned having to unlock the screen first nor that you could use the unlock button to scroll through chosen setting to check or change your portions. You seemed to say that you had to redo all settings to change just one. Thank you for all your help. These are the few things not addressed, and I thought this comment may help others wondering why the manual feed is not working.

About 2.5 teaspoons, but it's a volumetric measurement, so the number of grams will depend on the type of kibble you're using.

Does this only work will smaller kibble? Mine has freeze dried raw pieces. Wondering if it would work with that?
Hi Marisa, yes, it works best with smaller kibble, but as long as those chunks are smaller than a typical piece of dog kibble (maybe 1 - 1.25 cm in diameter), they should fit.

These are more for dogs, the smallest portion dispenses quiet a lot for a cat.

Yes, you'll have the same issue with the chute getting backed up if you try to dispense a larger portion.

i feed my kitty ziwi peak - would this work with flat square type kibble? some automatic feeders over/under dispense portions depending on the feeder's mechanisms so I have been having difficulty finding a feeder that would work for my cat
never mind - looks like the dispensing mechanism is top-down vs the PetSafe 24-cup automatic feeder which has a conveyor mechanism (which jams Ziwi Peak kibble). Placing an order and fingers crossed it works! my 5-portion automatic feeder has done well but washing the plastic tray every 4 days is not ideal... (my cat only eats dry food in the AM)

The Granary feeder works best with small-to-medium-sized kibble, so larger dog kibble won't generally fit.
I am currently thinking about buying an automated litter box. Has anybody tried the Petkit Pura X? There are not a lot of reviews but some of them say it is better than the Litter Robot 3. What do you think about that?

I am currently testing the "Lavviebot S". It's not a rotating system but it's working pretty well since 3 days. Lets see if that is also the case after a month.
Funny is that both of my cats only use the robot now and completely ignore the two normal litter boxes. I hope that this is not only because the robot is new.

Ken, I know. I purchased a new microphone in hopes of correcting the issue, but it seems that the problem lies in the camera or another stage of the video production process. I'm just grateful that people have stuck around in spite of the consistent audio issues. Working on it.
The audio quality depends on the device. No audio problem when I'm watching on my phone but the sound is low when I'm watching on my laptop.

Hi. They say wet food is better for your cat than dry food. It depends on how much money you have. I do both.
I would stay away from PetLibro, the right and the left hand for customer service have no clue what they are doing. I don't like the $12 cost tor return one of the two items that under warranty. Try another feeder to avoid frustration and hours of headaches
