  • Many new tents come with guylines with a cute little plastic piece tied onto it. This is the guyline tensioner and there is a proper way to use it.

Gotta love TH-cam. I was packing my tent up for a trip this week and thought someone must know what these little plastic things are for, and I’m sure I’m not many to be just tying random knots in these lines. A quick search and viola! Here you are. Thank you sir.

I know this is four years late, but I’m now 49 and thanks to your video, I finally know how to use these darn things! 😂😩. I grew up in the outdoors, and my father was an outdoor writer even, but I always got these things wrong or just drove a stake down through one of the holes in the plastic tab! So much for thinking I was an “outdoorsman!” Thank you my friend, and God bless! Justin from Pennsylvania, USA (and an Eastern Oregonian during my HS years, so I’ve been in some amazing nature! Just never knew how to use a pre-made guy line! Never too old to learn! 😂👍🏻)
