This music is so annoying .. if someone want to hear old flywheel damage can’t, and I think new one is not the same , i changed 3 times and finally put original Luk we will see how long will work properly, thanks for your work
It was so much easier when cars were rear wheel drive. You could do a clutch on a Cortina in a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon - now there's so much dismantling to do even before you get to the job at hand. Nightmare..
AllHandmade Do I tighten the bolts with compound glue etc eg locktite blue, red etc or is a torque wrench adequate to guarantee the frame won’t come undone.
Any ideas as to how much a new clutch, supplied and fitted on one of these would be? Google search comes up around £350-£1,400.... hoping the £1,400 Is for the flywheel as well. Nice video too!
Got my flywheel and clutch done yesterday on my Opel insignia and drove out of garage and my timing belt went, garage saying nothing to do with them, is there a link between the two things??
Not sure if this guy knows what he's doing tbh end float on the dual mass ? Its rotational movement that shows its worn as the springs become worn out or broken so you loose the dampening effect.

Steering rack can be left, undo anti roll bolts, torx head... 😊

Do I need the subframe alignment tools? Or is tipex marks etc okay to realign? By the way thanks for sharing.
just use some marker or paint to mark the subframe position before removing it.

in Haynes manual it says that you need only torque wrench so i did so
@@icku Hi , Can you give me the torque specs of the frame bolts please ? near the radiator , near the wheels and the 3 bolts near the steering rack
Accordig to Haynes -> Subframe mounting bolts: Stage 1 - 90 Nm; Stage 2 - Angle-tighten to 45 degrees; Stage 3 - Angle-tighten to another 15 degrees
