Great tips. I’d like to see how you transport both your paddle board and kayak at the same time.

Great video. Pretty similar to my setup except I feel the generic goal post style load extender is better for the application. Adjusting the height doesn't adjust the length as it does with the t-bone and they are considerably less expensive.

Good video Tony, don’t know if you have a video showing how you secured the back of the kayak ?

Thanks for the info. What if you have two of those paddle boards in the same truck?

Do the boards have to be in the grooves? Where do you get the carpet?

I LOVE this! I just got a 10'6" paddle board and am SUPER excited about it and wanted the easiest and fastest way to load and unload without having to take all my fishing gear off if possible. I think this is is! Two questions - where can you get the foam blocks? And there isn't a worry about the paddle board sliding out backwards without the straps being hooked to or wrapped around anything? If this works I'll be thrilled! Thanks a bunch!

      Hey Sarah!
You can purchase the foam blocks at many sporting goods stores that sell kayaks such as Academy Sports and Outdoors, Bass Pro Shops, Dicks Sporting Goods, and they can also be found on amazon. Just do a quick search for kayak or paddle board foam blocks.
I have no issues with the board sliding around with it just being strapped down. The foam blocks also help keep it from sliding because the board kinda sticks to them.
Thank you for the great feedback!

Great setup! Just use a chain to lock up boat. Cable is too easy to cut

I have a 6’6 bed with an 11’ kayak. With the tail get down the kayak sticks out about 3 feet. Is a bed extender worth it? My kayak only weighs about 48lbs

Is your bed a standard (about 6' 6") or a short bed (5' 6" or so)? How long is your kayak? Is there any limit in how far the load can extend from the bed in your state? I have a trailer but trailers are a pain to park in most places. Thinking an overhead rack is safer but more of a pain to load.

I have a standard size bed, and the kayak and paddle board are both a little under 13ft. I have also transported a 14 footer without any issues. I am not too sure if there is a limit on how far the load can extend from the bed. All I have found is that if a load extends 4 feet or more past the end of the truck bed it has to be marked (with a red flag)

What master lock model are you using on the t-bone? Also have you found a need to use a hitch tightener? Just bought the t-bone and there seems to be a lot of play in the rig. My idea was to try a ratchet strap around the top of the t-bone to my truck bed anchors but unsure if this would be better or worse than a hitch tightener.

The lock is a 2 and a half inch stainless steel master lock. Im not too sure of the model. I just happened to find it on clearance at home depot and it just barely fit.
As far as the extender being loose, that is normal. Once you strap a board or kayak down to it, the force of the kayak or board pressing down on the bed extender keeps it from bouncing or wiggling. Just be sure to adjust the T-Bone so that your kayak or board actually rests on it, that way when you strap it down it is tight.

Thanks for the reply. I am just getting into paddle board fishing and my l4 is arriving in a week or so. I just dont want to do anything stupid and damage it.
