Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I always wondered why my satin stitch never looked right, I was only using 1 or 2 strands. This is a huge eye opener for me!
Ive never embroidered anything in my life and have only sewn once, but I really want to make a baby blanket for a friend who is gonna be a dad soon. Thanks for the tutorial on this stitch, its what I wanted to go for since it was used on my own baby blanket. Wish me luck, I have until October 😅
@morgangrosser357 I couldnt finish it before I went to college, and I couldnt take it with me either, sadly. But It was going well and I'll finish it when im home! Better late than never.
This is fantastic, thank you so much for including the stitch type and thickness too. I’m a beginner and this has made me feel so much more confident!💞
My great grandmas never had the chance to teach me. I only got the courage to show my interest later in life by then they were mostly knitting and crocheting after they made me my baby quilts. Thank you for making this video. I am wanting to learn what I missed out on for my cousins, they were born later and did not get the gift the rest of us did nor get to know them as I was able to so they can get their blankets as adults. Sure they are late, but I am the final quilter on this branch of the tree who could make it for them ❤
I have 0 knowledge abt embroidery but I love anything that's embroidered. I was planning to embroider my twins name on cushion cover and this looks like a great video
Nice video. You have mentioned how many strands of thread. Many don't tell that. Doing back stitch before satin stitch is new to me. Thanks for the clear instructions
Thank you for sharing! I just watched your video today and tried to make my full name on my lab coat: Anh Nguyen. It took me 3 hours to finish the job.
@@diavolo1181 umm miss girl... she is literally tutoring you a step by step on how to draw in the letter and execute by using satin stitch. If you can't catch that then play the video in 0.25x speed so you can keep up
I am trying to make a plush doll for someone in time for Christmas and was wondering why the eyes and facial parts I have to embroider didn’t have the puffed affect I wanted so this saved me a ton! ✨
Amazing, please can you tell what police you chose to write ? And also, do you think I can use this type of yarn to custom a cap without ruining it? Hope strongly you'll answer.
How did the final look so much cleaner? Is there a way to make it so smooth after having done the embroidery already or was that a shot of a different embroidery that was done?
What did you use to draw the letter with?Any recommendations for darker material? And is the reason you are starting with the backstitch only to make the letter stick out more or does it do anything for the stability of the stiching?
First thing, You can make a print out of the letter you need in required size & use white color carbon paper to trace the letter to the fabric. Adding backstitch gives more finishing plus a 3d effect
If I used cotton embroidery thread, would it look as smooth as this? Also would this thread cause little frays and breakage in the wash? I want to make something for my boyfriend (letterings or pictures on his sweaters) and I wanted to ask
Thank you so much! Convincing my daughter this is the way to go as my machine only embroiders very small. Question-can you suggest a source for getting lettering that I can trace/use for embroider
Great video! Clear instructions, good choice of color coding for the steps, and a nice music selection. Great work, thank you so much!
Thank You So Much ❤️❤️❤️

I never knew you’re supposed backstitch the outline to give it that full/puffy look. Thanks!
Is that why? I was wondering why of it just gets covered up!
Me neither 😐
True I thought people stuffed it with cardboard or sponge never saw this technique thanks to this video

It looked simple, but it's actually tiring and takes days lol
Unless your my grandma I handed her my bag and 1 hour later she gave it to me with my name - Amy
And btw if you're wondering why I'm here it's bc I want to be able to make something special for my grandmother with out her knowing

Hey how do I embroider it into my hat? Do I embroider directly on the hat or embroider somewhere and then stitch it on the hat?
Id have loved to see how the back of it turns out. Just aesthetics.
