    Nice video that. Can’t say I’ve been bothered by the vibrations to be fair. The odd road surface can cause a bit of discomfort but doesn’t bother me that much. Good that they’ve worked for you. 👍

      Yea everyone ive spoken to has had different opinions, I was fine until I started focusing on them! Lol

    I fitted grip puppies they helped but I originally got them for wrist cramps.

    Well I’d love to tell you how well these Evotech bar end weights work on my Triumph 1200 GT Pro but I can’t, they’ve been unavailable for a few weeks now. Triumph changed the firing order on their latest Tiger triple (T Plane crank) it causes some vibration at 5000 rpm, so I’m encouraged by your vid. The specs according to Evotech for the Triumph are stock 290g v 620g for the Evotech’s

      Aw that pretty naff!
      Ive been riding with them for a while now and they have defiantly made a difference, but like I said in the vid, dont expect it to be like a different bike lol, they are good, but not amazing!
      Fingers crossed you get some soon tho! 🤞👍🏻

    Evotech’s site says 650g for their set vs 222g for the stock set but you weighed the stock set and it was heavier than that for only one side. I haven’t weighed them but the Evotech felt much heavier, like double the weight. Either way they seem fine for me - took my XR out yesterday for a mammoth 10 hour ride and when I got home I felt fine. On my Gen 1 after two hours my little fingers, feet and the top of my hips would have been numb. Result!

      I have a gen 1 and it came already with evotech’s already , so couldn’t do a comparison but I agree with you about not removing the vibration completely. I also have the sw motech footpegs to lower the vibration on the lower body parts (legs and feet ) didn’t clear it completely but it’s better . Nice video and loved the soundtrack. Take care and hope to see you soon.

      10hours!! 😮 wow, that impressive!
      I heading on a tour in a few weeks which will 8 hours to get to our destination so I shall get a better idea of how they feel then (lots of motorway to get there).
      Glad they helped you! 👍🏻

    I too have a 2nd gen XR and yes it's a bit buzzy at certain RPM's (nature of a high revving I4) but its never really bothered me much. I know everyone's tolerance is different for that stuff.

    • @lifeonmarshmoto
      @lifeonmarshmoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      It never really bothered me until someone pointed it out to me…then couldnt get it out my mind lol.
      I do agree its just the nature of the beast, the bar ends have helped enough tho!

      I have to disagree. I've ridden a kawasaki and 3 suzukis, all inl4, prior to my bmw, non of them had me tingling after a longer ride (60-90+ min).

    Looking forward when they arrive at my door, There is vibes on my gen 2 but tolerable to me, never gave me the pins and needles... only reason I opted for a pair is because I lost the left one, bolt worked its way out??? never experienced this before, usually the factory over tightens items like this... guess all that talk about checking bolts at first service is BS! This forced me to go through the entire bike to check for loose hardware.... Anyway glad your experience is a positive one,, What I'm really crossing my fingers for is mitigating the blurry mirrors to a somewhat usable view.

    I’ve got a set on my GS just cause I watched a video saying over long distance you can get tingling, I bought just incase as I was doing 6k in a month trip, being honest haven’t noticed a difference. The standard weights were fine so they might end up on ebay with all my other moments of madness purchases.

    • @lifeonmarshmoto
      @lifeonmarshmoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats a shame they didn’t make a difference, the XR is renowned for being buzzy so it does help a fair bit.
      O trust me I also had madness purchases! Its a biker thing I reckon! 👍🏻

    Does it make the bike feel more sluggish? Harder to turn in or change direction?

    An in line 4 will vibrate but BMW have sorted most of that out on the XR

    • @lifeonmarshmoto

      Yep agree, there is still a little bit but not enough to complain about compared to other bikes!

    Any solutions for rattling screen? Of course it happens around most vibs at ~4krpm where plastics starts rattling. When I hold the screen with my hand it goes away. I tried adding more rubber/o-rings at contact point but haven't resolve the problem.

    What model is your RST textile jacket please.

    • @lifeonmarshmoto
      @lifeonmarshmoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its called the RST Dark CE Textile jacket.
      I have had it a couple of year now tho so not sure if its still available.
      Its mainly a winter jacket as you cannot remove the inner lining but I really like it 👍🏻
