      also it's not so much full of hackers as it is just completely unmoderated. the UI is also terribad, tho really every UI for MTG will always be bad, even IRL, just cause it's too complex a game. I've joined casual games of commander where the stipulation for the match would be things like "no infinites" or whatever and then had the very person who started the match play out an infinite, but in those cases you could just assume you've won

    Any thought given to Murderous Rider for the removal as its adventure and lifelink makes its a decent card to mutate onto?

    • @LegenVD
      @LegenVD  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be decent, the bar for non-mutate creatures is just very high. It also takes a lot of mana before we actually get the Rider in play, which is probably too slow.

  • @diegolopes7849
    @diegolopes7849 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would definitely try polukranos on this deck, a 0/0 with 6 counters and a very relevant fight hability once it gets a body, and since yo're cycling throught your deck with the cmc 2 frog, you can easily achieve it's scape cast mode.

    • @LegenVD
      @LegenVD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Could be a fine addition, the bar is just really high on expensive non-mutate creatures.

  • @Derael
    @Derael 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think you might want at least 3 gemrazers, or even all 4, considering how popular fires of invention and Elspeth conquers death is. Also gets rid of Oven and Reflection, so it's good vs most decks. Most importantly, it's 4/4, so it's good when mutating on feather or 2 drop even if you don't use mutation trigger.
    Also green castle seems like a nice inclusion, you have quite a lot of forests, so it will usually come into play untapped, and with umori you can draw an extra card thanks to it when casting Krasis.

  • @dontaccoll
    @dontaccoll 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I never played against an azorius flyers without the lord, usually the cast it on turn 3 AND 4, but you had the bats anyway. I have to say that starrix version is more fun, and probably more synergistic and effective than krasis. Nice video after all

  • @H.Collector
    @H.Collector 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Legend I have a fairly similar sultai deck. What do you think about including 4 copies of Lazotep Plating? It can protect your mutated creatures, the amass will give you a free non-human to mutate onto and since it also gives you hexproof it will protect you against win conditions like Zenith Flare.

    • @LegenVD

      Trophy Guide 101 it’s going good, managed to get to platinum 3, it gets swept aside from red white cycles which is all that I seem to be matched up against, if you want you can add me for a couple friendly games, name is MacNeil10#00880

    • @TrophyGuide101
      @TrophyGuide101 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@19fabregas I've noticed an uptick in cycle decks recently so I might switch back because the sultai deck I played was highly favoured against it as it won by just mutating paradise druid over and over and draining their life while increasing my own with the 4 mana black mutate card (insufferable hermorage or something) so even the biggest zenith flair wasn't enough. Yeah a few games would be fun, I'll add you next time I'm on.

      @@TrophyGuide101 I've taken this deck from platinum 4 to mythic: www.channelfireball.com/all-strategy/videos/simic-mutate-standard-andrea-mengucci/ It does lose to yorion and it struggles against counter flash. • @LegenVD
      @LegenVD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The closest comparison is probably to Murderous Rider, which has also fallen out of favor recently. The Bat requires a little more setup, but with the right cards surrounding it like Pollywog and Umori, you can potentially start mutating for one or two mana, which is where it really shines. Like most synergy cards it will be higher variance than a simple removal spell, but that's what makes it compelling to build around.

    • @NoFutureForG0uda
      @NoFutureForG0uda 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @RagingGoblin
      @RagingGoblin 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NoFutureForG0uda To answer the latter, of ourse it gets to late game .... a tedious, repetitive lategame, but a (possibly) recurring 6/6 doesn't stand a chance in this meta.
      Starrix is a much more powerful card, but as LVD said, it doesn't really have a home here.
      Brokkos ia a bomb in limited, but I'm 100% sure it's unplayable garbage in a Standard that goes either under it (LurrusAggro/Cycle) or runs 4 ECDs and lots of sweepers.

      That's fair, I was mainly thinking about Spark Double which doesn't care about it being the original.
