Just spent 5 days and 1800 miles in my Tornado 3, it never missed a beat. Temperatures ranged from the high 40s to the mid 90s the liner was all I needed at low temps. Rode a combination of highway, twisties, and some dirt. Great jacket.
What is your opinion after an extended time with this jacket? Specifically early in the morning when a little colder. Looking to hit the mountains and will run into low 50's for a few hours each morning.
@motozixxer245 it'll work very well with the liner in, I was fine on a naked bike. If you have any wind protection plus the liner you'll be good down into the high 30s depending on your gloves. Grab it while you can, it'll sell out fast now that it's marked down.
@stephenpierce2726 I ended up buying it for my trip from Florida to Virginia through the mountains. Worked great in upper 40's and low 50's in the morning.
I got one for the wife... She loves it... I have two different jackets, a Mesh and Goretex one, so I can ride from 30 to 100 degrees in sun, wind, frost and rain... I needed something else but my wife prefers the 50 to 90 range with decent weather and needed something as versatile as this jacket is... For quality and price this jacket is unbeatable... and I bought it from Revzilla... Thx 👍
Perfect timing for this vid, Spurgeon suggested it to me the other day for down here in south Louisiana. We have pretty cool mornings in winter but by noon... a heavy jacket is too hot even on the bike.
My first moto jacket and its great. Comfortable, it can withstand light rain and it is not cold in it at 8○C. I have not tried the summer heat yet. I also bought back protection.
I have this jacket in women's fit. It's not as sexy as leather, but I can attest to its comfort, especially in summer sans liner. City temps in high 90's was sweaty when stopped but once rolling I cooled off nicely. 55F at highway speed was cold for me, even with good base. I now have a 7v heated vest under the liner and a Rev It rain jacket as a top layer in hopes of pushing this jacket through the winter in Philly.
I do find the liner of this Tornado 3 jacket a bit sweaty, I'm wearing a softshell jacket underneath now instead of this liner. Also I use a separate (hiviz) rain jacket. However I recommend this jacket, better protection than the Revit Airwave 3. Please also consider buying the level 2 backprotector. As chest protector for the tornado 3 I use the Alpinestars Nucleon KR-Ci. Much thinner and fits perfect.
I completely agree with the liner being too sweaty. In fact I had difficulties once taking the liner off after a rider that got warmer than expected out of a sudden. Why do you think it has better protection than the Airwave 3? I have both jackets and the protection seems exactly the same.
@@Blinkubus Tornado3 has level 2 protection on shoulders and elbow and 750Denier fabric. So yes indeed not much differences. In fact you pay extra for the liner (which I don't use) on the Tornado.
@@RevZilla I was either on a bmw r1200rt or a sportster.. I am pretty sure it was going through downtown New Hope... we might have just parked in front of Frans if i remember correctly. I almost picked up one of those green triumphs from quaker city they had used... love that color.

@@RevZilla I wear Large but I really need is short sleeves and short pants.. very hard to find jackets and pants in short versions.. I was thinking maybe I the link took me to a discontinued model .. Love my Knox mesh armored shirt..
We do not like the way you review jackets etc. You didnt ecen show it dresses or about sizi g etc. Itams like you show us notti g just youbriding your bike, aka so boeing and really no useful at all

Here in so cal it rarely drops below 50 even mid winter. This seems like a good jacket for my chilly morning commutes yet 80+ afternoon.
