Oro is such a cool character, I kinda wish he could get a version of a raging demon seeing how powerful he is. Like a secondary critical art could be where Oro is pissed and unwraps his other arm and just BEATS THE SHIT out of the person with both hands like from the raging demon
I'm glad Capcom stuck with SF5, i was concerned with their first bare bones release, the roster and early character balance decisions capcom made had almost cemented it as a disappointment for me at least. But i'm seeing their navigating to a centre it seems, with memorable and beloved characters as Oro and Dan returning, plus newer characters have been pretty decent. Whatever Street Fighter 6 initially was that didn't work for Capcom, maybe that was for the best.
I think the back facing kick has the hard kick sound design, and both medium punch and medium kick have the turtle focused recovery animations if you let them go (and don’t block-hit another button).
I really just want him to have his Jinchuu Watari combo. If he has that, I’m dropping every character I’ve ever played. I’ll be an Oro specialist if he has his double jinchuu watari combo.
The turtle's so Oro can have one hand tied up without actually being tucked into his clothing, since changing which arm is bound whenever you switch sides is more awkward in 3D. They could've just kept it as-is, such as with Claw, but this is a more elegant solution.
@@Jokerecho3540 well Mr. Joker, to be fair to Claw, it's important for Claw's, well, claw to be in the foreground for visual clarity and consistency as it pertains to his hitboxes. Oro's self-imposed handicap is just playing to his lore, i.e, it doesn't matter what arm is bound for Oro so long as one is, but it does matter what hand Claw's got armed.
4:04 Looking at Oro's moves in SF3, that is very much stand roundhouse. Not sure what the move they do after it is, since that attack doesn't exist in 3S at all
You didn't mention potential super cancels from that new kick special, which I figured would be the expected standard route. LK and MK versions don't KD, so that could work. I was hoping for EX SAII to be the basis for his CA, but I missed the mocap detail.
I did mention it lol, I was saying if oro has a laura style grab super which is his EX SA1, it wouldn't work from any of his other specials (barring maybe fireball) but it would work easily from the new kick special, and that might be one of the reasons he got that new kick special.
The roundhouse in the video is very clearly just the same roundhouse from SF3. He pivots his leading foot so he can curve inward and kick with his other foot.
I have a theory that capcom will make it so that you can get the chicken combo if you use Ex chicken stomp. It's not based on anything, but it seems like a possible way to bring back the chicken combo without making it an infinite

Aren't there already characters that have multiple versions of the a Trigger? Meaning there already are specific inputs to alter the trigger. Only one I really know of is 3 different Aegis activations. So Oro could have normal tengu with HP+HP and EX tengu with down HP+HK.

I expect his motions will all be the same. Especially with them adding a new special move, being a full motion character would probably give him a not-insignificant amount of command overlap

Vega isn't bad by usf4. In the history of the game the worst char is either vanilla Dan or vanilla vega but it's hard to say who's worse between them. By usf4 the worst char is probably Dan, Blanka, or thawk imo but the game has been rebalanced enough that no one is obviously bad.
I accidentally said usf4 when I meant sf4 in general, but thanks anyway. It's just that I've been asking who was the worse character sf4, but you're right. The game has been balanced enough. Even Dee jay obtained his buffs in the games last patch.
The sneezes still bother me. I realize it's probably just an idle animation, but what if it has some other element to it, like self-inflicted grey damage or an inability to cancel out of them? I know it's not the main element we're supposed to think about, but if they showcase it so much I figure it has some meaning.

I think heavies have more "sparks" in this game. So you can tell visually which is which by what has the bigger hit sparks.

Yeah they just changed the angle to match his sf3 st mk, and made it linger like st mk does.
I would find it funny if Oro still had chicken combos, but it was through his EX stomps rather than the meterless versions

It’s just a reference to how mundane his sf3 victory poses are. Unless he wins with EX supers he usually just sneezes sits down or scratches his ass.
