- Today was the day Cheritz released Mystic Messenger to Android 3 years ago in 2016. Can't believe it's been that long. Thank you, Cheritz, for making such an immersive and standout game.

While I continue my journey of writing original lyrics for Mystic Messenger OST and searching for covers of the OSTs to use as to avoid another copyright email from Cheritz, my friend Rising (aka. weakvocals) surprised me by gifting me with a full instrumental of Light and Daffodils! Many of you have asked for a full version so please thank Rising for putting the time into creating one!

Oh my gosh this is so good and so sad at the same time.
Both Rika and V suffered so much that its so tragic.
They were fated to meet but were never meant to be. Rika abused people so much that it angered me but I also feel pity for her because she was also abused back then, and now she has a mental illness *BUT* that doesn't justify to hurt others, just because you were abused and has a mental illness. Rika just wanted to have somebody to accept her and maybe if someone did, she could have saved many more people in the right path. But when Mika told stuff about V just toying with Rika. The dark side of her sparked and grew stronger even more. Its like what you call adding gasoline to the fire.
While on the hand, V says that he loves Rika though is that what you really call love? Its obsession.
Because V kinda expected a lot from Rika, meaning he had darker desires expected from Rika. He as well was a victim but he also led Rika to the wrong path, so his desires backfired at him and which made Rika's situation worse. Both Rika and V are victims but also at fault. I love this two so much that they deserve better. And this song exactly portrays their tragic love story.
The daffodil that needed the sun to live, without the sun it would die.
Rika needed V to at least have a purpose on living and feel at least accepted. Yet V's love for rika wasn't really love but obssesion so I guess you could say the sun turned the direction of his light to another path, leading the daffodil to the wrong path and wither.
Meaning V's obssesion led Rika to the wrong path making her condition worse, but I am not refering to V as a bad guy. They are both victims but as well at fault. And because of that it is so sad for the two of them. One of them can't live without the other.
They both deserve a happy ending.
Also guys don't get me wrong I am not making V look like the bad guy.
I haven't played this game once again for like a year or 2 so please feel free to correct me if I had some errors because I can sometimes be very forgetful about stuff.

Hi, I just needed someplace to get out my thoughts. So right now I am the loneliest I have ever been, I have never felt as alone in this world as I do right now. And oddly enough, this just makes me understand Rika’s pain that much more than I did. I have friends, I have family, but not a single one of them understand. At first they did, but the more I started to open up they just stopped. None of them know what to say, and I can’t blame them. I feel like I’m out of place, I don’t belong with anyone here. My classmates and teachers only understand me while I’m smiling since I’m terrified of being made fun of for being different, my family can only say that they understand me and try their best to, but I can tell they don’t. None of them have even felt remotely similar to how I feel. And my friends.. most of my closest friends used to understand me, and I felt like I could tell them anything. But now.. none of them do, while I’m in the darkest moments of my day they only tell me that they don’t know what to say, or simple things like just breathe. So I’ve stopped telling them. I feel like an outsider, like an odd mistake that never should have been born. I feel like I’m a failure of a human, like I was supposed to be different. I don’t feel like me, I don’t even know who I am. I’m scared to face anyone, and I know that even though I am physically surrounded by people, I am all alone in this world. I wish the characters from mystic messenger were real, maybe then I wouldn’t feel as hopeless and beyond hope as I feel right now.
I'm so sorry to read that you're going through such difficult times and I send you my hugs ;; Rika's mental illness is very real and very applicable in our world so your struggles and pain are valid too. I find that many people don't realize that her ideologies and emotions are actually realistic because the purpose of the game is marketed as a dating sim.
But as hopeless as it may seem, I want to encourage you to keep reaching out to people because I guarantee there are people out there who are going through the same things you are and feel the same way you feel. There are online support systems, threads, professionals, and even psychology channels like Psych2Go (th-cam.com/users/Psych2GoTv) who's sole purpose is to educate and sympathize with people who are struggling. Even though you feel alone because of the people close to you, it doesn't mean that you are alone. Just like how the MM characters each have their own struggles to go through, they're able to reach the good ends because of the choices they (and MC) make. I could go on for a while so you're welcome to reach out to me on Twitter or my Discord channel, but I hope we can find a way to help you feel the little joys in life again. 💕
AirahTea Thank you, I honestly wasn’t expecting any response but thank you for your kind words. And I agree, a lot of people do hate Rika to the point of hating the people who like her, and while I can understand not liking a character after what Rika did in the game, it kinda does hurt to see when others and myself do relate to her at this level. What’s even worse is when they harass people who do like her, or who do relate. It’s okay to not like a character but don’t go after or shame anyone who likes or related to said character..

As unfortunate as it is, not everyone is at the appropriate level of understanding and maturity to act accordingly, and it often results in a lot of unnecessary harm being dealt to people. Though, to see you recognize the toxicity warms my heart because at least one other person has achieved it :)
