Just started my first play through of Skyrim and am playing a mage. These videos have been nice for picking spell and branches of magic. Keep up the good work man.
One of the great things about Undying Ghost is that you can pick it up for free at the Ritual Stone east of Whiterun. Unlike most summons he functions like an NPC, having power attacks and execution kills. His only downside is being a bit dumb when it comes to navigating and tracking enemies at range. Place him in front of an enemy though and you have a reliable front-liner on demand.
When I want to roll deep in Skyrim my setup basically goes: twin souls perk and the new necromancer enchant for +1 “lesser summon” (it’s almost any summon, I think I’ve found 3 that won’t work) Serana since she can raise a zombie, Gogh who summons a storm atronach, bone colossus with his 2 skeleton buddies, the death priest since he splits into 3 when killed, and tomb guardian for his turn kills into ghosts ability. With myself included that’s about a dozen in my group, going back through a doorway is basically impossible but we stomp through everything out in the open
Conjuration is my favorite school, as a life long GM in dnd and other ttrpgs. Its fun and familiar to make the game play against itself while I watch. Can't imagine why though.
pretty nice list ! just a thing about necromantic ritual, it also restores magicka ! So if you pop necromancer ritual, and then summon a creature and use soul split on it, it will restore your magicka quite fast, 30, then 60 from the 2 sundered shades, then 30 again, etc etc. Depending on your base magicka regen, this technique can help you power level your conjuration very fast while maintaining magicka ! Imo it's much better than lore friendly than the soul trap on a corpse exploit :)
It also works great with the tomb guardian, since the ghosts it makes count as creatures you "summoned". Then all those short-lived ghosts go directly into your health / magicka when they perish.
The summon undying ghost does so much work in my legendary play through. Unlike melee followers, he doesn't have a hidden hunting bow that they decide to use when I need them to tank all the time. I can sneak up to enemies, initiate combat by casting the ghost, enemies aggro on him and he as the same stats as a storm atronach with 1 or 2 items buffing total magicka. If he dies its almost always because his 60 seconds are up, not because he was killed even in a 3 or 4v1.
Conjure Staada is so underrated. If you are not exploiting soul trap on corpses, you won't cast any high-level conjuration spells as early as Staada, because the base cost of 75 magicka is virtually free for 42 level summon, and you can finish Saints and Seducers as early as leaving Helgen with a help of Storm Atronach Staff. So she is very cheap and very powerful for her price summon that absolutely wrecks anything early in game, I believe somewhere to player character level 25. And because of her high level she isn't affected by banish/control daedra spells, making her viable for enemies that utilise this, like Dragon Priests. Edit: especially considering that you've put Saint/Seducer Warriors higher than her, what? She has the same magicka cost but is multitudes better, why? When your conjuration is high enough to take Twin Souls perk you won't be using either of S&S summons. You will stick to Dremora Lords/Ayleid Liches/Bone Colossus + Wrathmen.
I mean, every time I am starting conjurer character and don't feel like violating dead mudcrabs for XP, Staada becomes my spell of choice until I am powerful enough to conjure Dremora Mofos. The only problem, because of how cheap the spell is, you get very little xp, so it's probably wise not to wait for her to die/wear off but to recast her as often as possible to leverage that.
Completely agreed with the top 5, Tomb Guardian, Ancient Dragon Priest, Undying Ghost (my beloved), Skeleton Titan and the Aylied Lich are fantastic, not sure if works but I think with other mods that affect perks, such as Vokrinator (the mods within this patch, can't remember the names now) makes these conjuration spells even more powerful, again, dunno if thats the case but for what I can remember, they somewhat affect the CC spells. Also, I think using this play style at high levels isn't doing a lot of Justice for many of the spells, Skeleton Marksman and Champion can be a huge help with any enemy, mid level enemies that is, but thats just me. Still a fun play style to be honest, is like having a mini NPC wars a your disposal at any give time, is alwaya fun to watch them fight.
Conjuration is very strong, esp. when combined with Orninator. I love the zombies. I believe the have a special effect by inflicting diseases to enemies. Bone Collosus rocks, esp. when accompanied by three skeleton warlocks.
Stick with it. You will be at ESO sub numbers soon enough. Very detailed and well explained. No weird noises or unnecessary jokes. Articulated well and gameplay to back verbal notations. To sub yhe channel was an easy decision. Once back watching for the 3rd time today, I realized you were at 685 subs and I was surprised. So heres a long comment to fight the algorithm. Thanks again for the video. Im hoping u do one with Bone Colossus vs Ayeild Lich comparisons. Like differences and benefits of having a full team or bone warriors vs 2 Ayleids and their storm atronachs. Cheers
Thank you for the very kind comment. It’s people like you and comments like these that continue to motivate me to make videos on this platform. I really appreciate the support, and I am glad that you enjoy my content. Thanks!
Would love to see you do mod reviews someday after you've exhausted vanilla/cc content if you have a pc or ever get one, very no nonsense and entertaining videos.
That’s a good idea. I record everything from an Xbox, but I know that there are several mods that are from PC sites that are ported to Xbox. Thanks for the suggestion!
Quality video. I agree with the fact that necromancers ritual isnt very useful, unless your making a build around the Flaming Familiar spell or Ahzidal's Ring of Necromancy.
It would have been so cool if for example: The Zombie summons would turn the enemies they killed into zombies randomly (chance based). That would change their utility definitely making them more viable early and late game and so much more interesting imo... Lemme know what you guys think!
Im not sure about this and it might be a bug...but ive seen ancient death priest raising multiple undead instead of just one...maybe it was a bug idk but if it wasnt and the guy has no cap on the number of summons he gets he can be a great asset but i personally prefer one collosus and 2 aylied liches along with two warlocks (you need the arch necromancer robes and twin souls both strangely enough aylied lich is considered a lesser summon since its expert and not master lmao) this way you wreck everything and the hp regeneration helps with warlock squishiness the to aylied also raise or summon one ally each which brings you to 7 minions without soul split (which i forget to use) i use gogh who also summons an atronach which adds another 2 and raise my army to 9 and use talvas my favourite follower who casts adept spells rapidly with both hands AND summon one ally which increases them to 11 :))))
Anyone know what the weakness effect of the Skeleton Marksman actually does? It applies a neat green visual effect, but I can't find any specifics. Even UESP doesn't have the details.
doesn't skeleton marksman have arrows that make enemies take more damage? I'm pretty sure in one of my playthroughs I used it with Mark for Death on dragons to melt them
Is it possible to get these creation club summons on special edition? Ive never played skyrim before so i got special edition but dont know if i have all the new stuff
If you have the special edition of the game, you have two options. Option 1 is buying the anniversary upgrade. Its around 20 bucks, but you get so much more content with the conjuration spells too. Its definitely worth it in my opinion. Option 2 is directly purchasing creation club credits, and using them to buy the specific creations with the spells that i listed in the decription. This may cost less, but you are getting a lot less bang for your buck. Hope this helps! I may make a video on the anniversary upgrade soon.
Please make a ranking for companions (do it class based so it would be more fair and more useful everyone knows serana is better than faendal but maybe someone is specifically looking for an archer ally?)
Can't go wrong with Jenassa. She's great with a bow, surprisingly decent at stealth, actually hangs back at the start of a fight, is one of the few characters to dual-wield weapons by default, and has 50% fire resistance.
You have to buy these separately in the special edition of the game, but it is included if you have the Anniversary edition of the game or if you get the Anniversary update for the game. Hope this helps
@@TypicalPirate55 Thank you!!! Im enjoying the Special Edition a lot right now! (First time playing Skyrim 😁) Do you recommend the Anniversary Edition Upgrade? Does it worth it in your opinion? Or it is enough with the Special Edition.
@@eurybueno6384 awesome! Glad to see that this community is still growing after all this time. I think it’s definitely worth it! 20 bucks for a lot of content You would save a lot of money buying the anniversary upgrade. However, only buy it if you enjoy the special edition of the game, which it seems like you do so I’d say it’s definitely worth it!
@@TypicalPirate55 And a last question. I have 30 hours so far playing the game, do you think I need to start all over again if I upgrade to the aAnniversary Edition or I can just continue and I will enjoy the new upgrade as well? Thank you so much!
Big error. Undying ghost is miles better than the colossus. The Colossus is master lvl so not available until you're high lvl and Costs a whack of magicka. UG cam be obtained and uses at lvl 1. Moreover, with salmon roe powered fortify magicka potions (easy to get at lvl1) you're UG has full 600pts strength. This is lvl 1. It will kill anything in Skyrim at that lvl.
I disagree with pride of hirstaag one . The bears very weak and most of the time it can't even hit the enemy . However, it's unique cuz it's the only animal u can summon other than arvak
Daedric Horse and Summon Arvak both filling the same niche makes it opinion on appearance choice. For me, it's Arvak all the way. Flaming Bone Horse? Who let Ghost Rider into my Skyrim? Plus, climbing mountains on Arvak is funny as shit. But I can see reason to take Daedric Horse, just because of the flex of having a crimson red horse. Or for roleplay purposes. A normal Dragonborn would use either, sure, but what of a Necromancer? Arvak's rider whose name I forgot's sibling? Or, for the Daedric Horse, perhaps a worshipper of Mehrunes Dagon? An ex-Mythic Dawn member who went into hiding, forced into the spotlight to take down the bloodline of the god who slew yours?
"The daedric horse acts as a regular mount when casted"
*Immediately starts floating into the air*
Yeah, that's pretty regular for Skyrim

Sommun durnavir shout as well because it doesn't count towards the summon limit and air support is always nice
@@trentwilliams2963I think I tried that once and when I summoned him in my other summons cancelled out, I’ll have to check again when I get the chance
Open Cities of Skyrim could help mitigate this somewhat in the cities. Buildings no, but cities yes.

Wonder if it works with the flame familiar, the wolf one that just runs up and explodes.

Yeah its pretty good. Didn’t decide to include it because it’s technically a power and not a spell.
