Nje, sisekhona, bayede ndlovukazi Busi Mhlongo!
Rock stars eventually fade, legends live forever...
I still haven't a clue as to what she is saying, but damn if she isn't saying it with a feeling that still touches my heart! RIP Busi Mhlongo!
It's a lament. Direct translation won't be the best but I'll give you a rough translation. She questions her uncle and he responds. That's the whole song. She asks: "We Babomncane wang'xosha kabuhlungu, kodwa yini na?"
Oh Uncle, why do you kick me out so callously?
The uncle responds:
"Umungafun' uk'hlonipha abazali bakho ngek' uzulunge mntanam'"
You'll never succeed if you don't respect your elders.
I was blessed to meet her 2002 on my tour to South Africa in a Cape Festival I love her so much and I miss her so much rest in peace my sister

I am from Mexico and I can't undetstand how important this woman was for african music but I can recognize how magic her voice and music is. My first time I listened this song was when I was a fan footballer while I was watching an Adidas commercial on TV, on that commercial some of the Best footballers of the world appeared playing into a african village and this song was performed while the clip playing so, since that day I were looking for this song that I did not who performed but after some years with the help from one app I could find the name of this song and who performed this fantastic song
how can someone dislike such legendary stuff
I can't stop listening to her music ever since my dad introduced me into, Amen!
rest in peace Ndlovukazi Njomane kaMgabhi ahhhh i loved this woman so much she had grace she always spoke softly

Ah, I just wondered if she won her struggle but alas, no... I will never see her live then. The queen of Africa!
in 2017 i still find myself looking backward where music was this raw, live performance were the main thing and all other races connect and become one.....

Check out Thandiswa Mazwai inspired by mam ' Busi Mhlongo.
I doubt it. King Tha tries, but I think the bar mama Busi set is too high for any1 tp raise at the moment.
@@sphasokhabase2375 Thank you, I have and well good, I didn't get the same reaction I did when listening to Busi! May she rest in peace!
@@godsson1892 So true..Thandiswa once said herself that it difficult to sing mam Busi's song. She was a stand out indeed.
