That was exactly what I needed to learn. I feel like I've had to fight against my body to achieve full alignment, and I've used the expansion to rotate hard that last bit. Seeing this, I now understand why I shoot better when I allow myself to achieve incomplete alignment- because I'm holding still during expansion. I need to improve my loading process such that I achieve full alignment prior to anchor.
Thanks Himadri! Absolutely, I'll do one on the release in the future - do you want one focussed on how to analyse the release or how to work on it? Or both?
@@OnlineArcheryAcademy Sir, that's perfect. It would really be great if you could do both. From a beginner's perspective, release is just moving the fingers out which I understand is not what one should do. Your videos and tutorials have always being my strength and what I decipher from them is what I pass it on to my son. Regards.
Thanks Ashe, an great video again, with a detailed analysis, but the question is : how can you eliminated such wrong movements? It is often subconscious.
Just starting to make my way through your technique videos, great help thanks! If there any chance of an anchor specific video ? Find myself struggling with this.
so, is ok if the head follow a little bit the string hand (backwards) during expansion? some of my coach teach that the head must stay fixed and the string hand must slide backwards a bit on the lower jaw to trigger the clicker. i think they are realy realy wrong.
Normally they don't tape the back, I also prefer not to tape the back as I find it easier to get a consistent angle of the SpinWing without back tape. The thumb and finger varies between top shooters, even on the Korean team - but most tend to have the pinky lightly curled, and the thumb either at 45deg hanging down or pretty straight along the jaw. There are a couple of examples that might help here: www.onlinearcheryacademy.com/recurve-technique-set-hook-grip/#set-thumbpinky
I think the shot of you didn’t have body movement at all, it was just camera movement from the person filming ;) If you want to analyze such small movements you really need a tripod I think.

How korean archers fletch spin vanes usign outnock, do they tape back? what they do with the smaller finger and thumb at anchor position?
