    I've always used my finger tips, I will try this as it looks much less painful after a days shoot. I just need to find a range that is open in Covid 19 world.

    • @Shirizu
      @Shirizu 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Either you need more strength and control in your back to manage the 42 lbs or think about lowering your drawing weight. Your bow should not be way stronger than you, try to keep it in a range you can manage. Too much weight easily leads to shaking because your muscles can draw the weight but not control it properly. When you don't want to change the drawing weight you need to do a lot of different exercises off-bow with a rubberband or something similar. One of my junior archers had the same problem and we had a lot of work to get him on the right level for his bow. My advice would be to lower your drawing weight to the range you can manage, do not overdo yourself, it can be really frustrating.
      Keep going with your training and do not forget to have fun!

    Often I lose shape when I press into my anchor point. I don't use a clicker, so learning to press hard into anchor and use my chin as a draw stop has improved my consistency, but it introduced some tension and instability in my draw hand.

    • @hooveyjones

      It’s a result of having a long rod and stabilisers on the front of the bow. It makes it top heavy and will swing forward after a shot

    No, his release, is bad, at the time of release, and only then, the fingers are "dead" the best example are the Korean women.
    Look at his release, when he shouts close (he's doing it right) but from a bigger distance is problematic.
    About the pressure, imagine the way you carry you groceries, your wrist is relaxed and you have a decent amount of pleasure inside your buckles, now imagine that you simply relax your fingers and the grocery bag is falling on the ground.
    This is the best way I can describe it.

    • @jobagoat

      Morten Jacobsen i would not focus on which muscles to use when working on ur release unless ur shooting at a very high level (~340/360 @70m). and besides, its not like there’s a general consensus in the archery community as to which muscles should be engaged to perform a good release
