Now that I think about it, isn't it a reveal in the future why Hades left the guild in the first place? Why he studies dark magic in the first place? If he uses this method of prolonging someones life, doesn't it makes sense that he thought he could've used it to save Mavis?

All of the fights that happen at the camp during the Hades fight were not in the manga. I hate it when the filler is a detriment to the plot or ruins the pacing like this.
