The heartbreak in Hia’s eyes when Nu-Kuea says “Hia would never kiss me” it’s like he’s thinking “is this what he thinks I think of him? Is this what he thinks I feel about him” and it’s gut wrenching
Yes it's heartbreaking but given Hia's behavior with him it's normal that he thinks that!
True both have a misunderstanding of each other. Hia wants him to be himself not pretend to be someone else that just caters to him. And Kuea just wants to be loved by Hia and sadly that ment he tried to be what he thought would make Hia and his parents happy. I think when he heard Kuea say the real Hia would never kiss me he realized how distant and alone so he knows he is gonna need change tactics

I love that this series is so popular a year of its premiere. That shows that this series will be watched for many years. I watch it on both TH-cam and iQIYI. The only difference is that on iQIYI, there are no gaps in the series. I can watch episodes 1-12 without any interruptions. Either way...I LOVE THIS SERIES.
I look forward to watching it many more times. Their relationship is complex, endearing, yet in the end, complete. We also had CutiePie 2 (the final chapter), but this story was sweet. I look forward to many years of their careers together and separately. In the end, they were meant to be united. To be "COMPLETE." Period.

Lians full name is 'Lian Kilen Wang' and Kuea named most of his precious possessions after Lian's middle name 'Kilen', like his stage name Kirin, the name of his motorbike Qilin, the name of his secret house, even his blue dragon toy from ep1, all are derivations of Kilen. As can be seen in this episode he even uses Lian's 13-digit ID-number as the password to his secret house. He really loves Lian deeply.
