JazakAllah for this. I follow the opinion that niqaab is recommended but not compulsory, but I believe there is no doubt that wearing it is pleasing to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’alaa and brings blessings, so why not wear it? From my experience in the west the barriers are really only very small, and are far outweighed by the benefits. Like you said, niqaab is now part of me alhamdulillah and I would be very uncomfortable going out without it. Also I am blessed that my husband is happy for me to wear it alhamdulillah.

Assalamualaikum waRahmatullahi waBarakatu . I'm currently on a niqab journey myself, but it's for me. I've heard that it is pleasing to Allah many times, but i would like clarification. Where does it say this? Is there an authentic source I can read from?

What about older women wearing it . Does it make sense wearing it for example if a woman is in her 50s ?

    • @alimahinsights

Nikab is not fardh at any age. If an elder woman chooses to that his her own choice.

Some say it's obligatory farth.. it shocked me like no it's not then. I WUD hate my religion then I WUD think I'm oppressed if I had no choice while males breath fresh 🫁 air..

Men are not created attractive like women to be looked at , women are naturally created this way to avoid attention as most men look at a woman face first its the first attraction so best to cover it , yes there are two opinions but to say you would hate your religion is very deep Subhan'Allah.
We are so blessed to be muslim sis and women are honoured in islam and protected like jewls not like the western society
Islam came to honour women Alhumdulillah so to be covered is a blessing and modest like a valuable jewl
The wives of the prophet were covered fully snd they are our mothers abd were most respected and honoured .
May Allah guide us all understanding of our beautiful deen .

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress like veil, gloves, headcover, apron), and to draw their veils all over Juyoubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)…” [al-Nur 24:31]
When Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about the verse (interpretation of the meaning): “O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies.” [al-Ahzab 33:59], he covered his face, leaving only one eye showing. This indicates that what was meant by the verse was covering the face. This was the interpretation of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) of this verse, as narrated from him by ‘Ubaydah al-Salmani when he asked him about it.
[ evidence of the hadith of ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who said: “We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in ihram, and when men passed by us, we would lower the Khimar on our heads over our faces, and when they moved on we would lift it again.”
