    One of the most defining bass lines of Adam Clayton, this groove makes this one of my favorites songs of the album.

    That was absolutely fantastic, Neil. This is such a great bassline from Adam and it's in the top 3 from The Joshua Tree for me. I also love how he completely changes the dynamics of the two choruses. The first one is so melodic then the second one is hardcore 8th notes! So so cool. You nailed it, man! Beautiful work. ❤🎸

    Fantastic Neil!!! One of my favorite Adam Clayton bass lines. I love how it leaves space in the song and how oddly the choruses differ. That American P bass of yours is sounding sweet (and now I'm going to check online for any available.) Wonderfully done!!

    Wonderful job on this tune, Neil! Watching your right hand, it really appears that you're digging in HARD, yet you have no fret buzz, and even more impressive, no growl either! Is your action on that bass set higher than it appears in this video? Your tone is SO smooth and such TIGHT, PUNCHY DEEP END!

    • @neilmorrow9756
      @neilmorrow9756  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Dan! I set this up to Fender specs but if anything the neck is too straight and needs a slight bit of relief. I have turned the bass up on my Diamond compressor which I usually have at 12 o clock but is about 9 and when the tone is all the way up on this p it is still pretty bassy compared to my other ps. I also rolled the presence back on my Sansamp di to take away bite.

      @@neilmorrow9756 We're going to have to do a Facebook Video conference one of these days! Seems everyone I know has some sort of pedal configuration, including the Sansamp DI box and compressors! All I use is what is built into Garage Band and my digital interface, which is currently a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. And rarely, do I ever use any "amp modeling" plugins except the built-in DI box that comes with Garage Band. I think I'm going to have to spring for a "Sansamp" or a "Darkglass" or a "Tone Hammer" - or SOMETHING! The compressor that is built-in to Garage Band works as well as I need it to - but maybe an external pedal would serve me better!
