I am thinking of buying the P60 pro.. Now i am using vivo X90.. Was thinking of Magic 5 pro but after seeing this video P60 looks promising and better especially on the true life and natural colours of the photos on P60. Is that true based on your experience with P60?
@@RN0010 hi, yes. What I currently like the most, after 8 months of use, is the natural colors it takes with the pics. Not perfect all the time, but mostly very pleasing, seeing that photos are very much alike to what you remember from real life is great. No Google apps is a big downside though, I don't know if I would buy another Huawei in the future, I'd need to think it through.

Honor has come a long way. I might wait for the Magic 6 Pro. I've switched from a Huawei Mate 20 to a Google Pixel 7 Pro and I am not too happy in all honesty.

@@marvicchristophergonzales589 bad battery life, mediocre charging speed at best, no HDMI output, some parts of the OS are laggy, and video capture is good but gas a LOT of noise, sometimes unusable even under bright light.

I have buyers remorse too. Battery sucks, not that impressed with the camera. My pixel 2 was better. I was thinking of selling my pixel 7 Pro. Resale value isn't good either.

The P60 pro over sharpens a little, but in comparison looks slightly better in photos, video is a different story, think the Honor is better - plus it has a huge range of pro modes. I paid £850 for the Magic5 pro at launch (+ several free goodies to boot) which is £450 cheaper for the equivalent P60 pro, Honor's updates are improving the camera experience and think for value for money it cannot be beaten - by any phone.
P60 pro for photography and Honor for overall use.

on magic, the video is one of the best on android, when on huawei it is not a flagship level at all (although better than on mate 50 pro). but the photo is not clear. 5 pro lost sharpness. maybe this is a new trend, just like on xiaomi, but the trouble is that when you crop the image, it seems that the photo turns into an oil painting. on magic 4 ultimate it was much better in this regard, but the algorithms on 5 pro/ultimate became too soft.I personally do not like this soap, I would like sharper algorithms :(
but if you take pictures without a sensor crop, then the results are more than acceptable and excellent in detail, and in terms of color reproduction and white balance, honor is much truer than many competitors. Huawei's algorithms are generally very fond of embellishing. here already someone like it)

Could you please check if when zooming in on a video on the Huawei, the recorded sound is distorted as the case is for the Honor? I absolutely hate this feature on the Honor. I was at a concert recently and when zoomed in 4x the sound was really bad. This is a terrible feature of the Honor - wish you could pick where (which mic) the sound should be recorded from.
I think that is the audio zoom feature that smartphones introduced lately. I did not find a way to turn that off for Honor but it might be worth checking out the Pro video mode to see if it fixes it.

This feature begins with Samsung note 10 plus and was useful but honor used it wrong.. You heard your voice close than the voice from the place you zooming in get weak and not clear.. Do you have magic 5 pro or 4?!
How strong are Honor Magic 5 Pro display build quality for the price?

I will order the original case tho, but with the stand for 50€. I think it's a really good combination for the leather case with the stand for black Honor Magic 5 Pro

Excelent quality on both phone. P60 slightly better but the price difference today is 400 Euro for 12/512gb and huawei has worse chipset and no google. Considering this HONOR kills huawei !!!

Io trovo il Magic 5 pro un telefono molto bello. Fa foto stupende sopratutto con la 1x. Non mi piace la tendenza che ha a saturare i blu e i verdi nonostante abbia un bilanciamento del bianco e una colorimetria precisa nel riprodurre la scena che si fotografa. Un'altra cosa che vorrei migliorassero è il fatto che per abbattere il rumore digitale ricreano artefatti e effetto acquarello /dipinto sui visi delle persone o dettagli. E anche il fatto che non ci sia una modalità pro che ti permette di ottenere il RAW sia con la 0.5 che con la 3.5. Ha una app fotocamera ancora troppo scarna, dovrebbero aggiungere funzioni per renderla più piacevole. Speriamo con futuri aggiornamenti.
Per questi motivi stasera ho ordinato lo Xiaomi 13 ultra, ma il Magic ha un aspetto migliore anche per quanto riguarda la durata della batteria e il riscaldamento, il che è importante per me. Penso solo che Xiaomi abbia più possibilità per le foto senza che la qualità sia migliore
@@pierrefronteri8298 lo xiaomi è un telefono molto interessante. Però 1500 euro sono troppi, l Honor lo si trova a 900 euro ed è un bust buy a questo prezzo.

the problem with the most smartphone cameras is that they edit your photo automatically. I have the feeling that with magic pro 5 its you will see mroe natural photos, because less auto editing!
That is not the case. It also edits heavily. But their edits look less artificial than for example the Galaxy S23 Ultra

Videography is quite close, a bit better on magic 5?
Multi view was definitely better on Magic 5
Zoom was better on p60, magic was too sharpened and processed, and text reading was quite better on p60
Color accuracy for pictures is better on p60, comes to preference.
Macro is definitely better on p60
Shutter speed is bad on both, if this matters go for iPhone but I felt it was slightly better on p60 in this case (whilst comparing to Magic 5)
I really liked this comparison, night shots were still missing tho for video and pictures.

Both are good for that purpose. The P60 Pro is a bit newer and better in some nuances though.

Does Honor Magic 5 has a long exposure /light painting mode like huawei?
No, had this on my P30 pro, p40 pro, Mate 40 pro and Mi11 Ultra but missing on the Magic5 pro which is a shame. Hopefully an update will fix it, but not going to hold my breath!
@@seanp-kk7jj I had really fun time taking street and sky pics with it. After purchasing some proper lights I unlocked another level for me. It's such a shame to not have this mode on Honor's flagship.

Honor has the hardware but needs to focus on the software and image processing, that might change with the Magic 6 pro which promises revolutionary cameras
I think they are on a good way. If I compare the Magic 4 series they made a tremendous progress with their camera app. In certain aspects it even surpasses the Huawei software. Even the newer camera app on Huawei seems like a UI overhaul but not like they integrated improvements.
One example the document scanning mode is much superior on Honor.

@@lltechviewI mean that the Honor Magic 5 Pro has an integrated telecamera zoom mic that captures long-range zoomed noises, and to be honest, it is very annoying as far as I have seen on other reviews of the Magic 5 Pro

Well, I have got vivo x90 pro plus for less money than I'd need to pay for magic 5 Pro even with discount codes, but I imported it directly from China and paid no tax.

Could you try out the Honor 90 when comes the official lauch at market and to compare with Honor 70?
The Honor 90 will be best 2023 budget flagship and I change my mind saving for Magic 5 Pro, I will buy the Honor 90 because of the Flagship specs on Budget phone, and it's the first phone that has zero screen flickering.
Honor is not sending me any review units anymore. Not sure why. But that makes it a bit harder to get this. phone.
It is still a midrange phone however.

I always disliked my Huawei P30 due to the greenish-yellowish look of almost all photos produced. I see this color tint in the P60. Horrible. Some colors just look wrong or off if you don't have the right light for their algorithm to understand what color is there. Otherwise, it invents something.... Many color details are lost. Same with the iPhone 15 PRO Max, but everyone is buying that horror thing for social reasons..
Might be their HDR algorithms as both use heavy processing there.
