In Honor magic 5 , everything is just perfect 😮😮😮 processor , design, charging , few new technological developments that the other phones don't have, and the most I like about it, is Display ❤❤
Damn Honor is very strong, especially for its price. In Germany you can get the 512gb Version already for under 900€. I think I will upgrade my Xiaomi Mi 10 to the Magic 5 Pro later this year 👍🏻

There is a lot of wind noise, you're like in a barrel, while on Honor you sound like you're in a studio.
S23 ultra doesn't win every category, camera or otherwise, but it is the most complete phone over all.
Macro shots captured by Xiaomi 13 pro have incredible details! Its wide angle and telephoto both the lenses have macro shot capabilities.
I wish you would have mentioned which model has a realistic true colour result for each scene. Some of us are looking for authentic true colours...

I wonder if the Xiaomi 13 Pro software failed to calculate the light coming into the sensor since there is a huge difference between main and side sensor. So when we switch modes, the software could be delayed or failed to detect the change so the sensor will work as if we haven't change the mode. I notice the same problem happen with a phone last year, but the problem lies within the video only where the software couldn't detect the change in lenses mode so the lock on the subject is off making the subject vanished from the frame 😂 hope they resolve the software problem though.
Great video, I am surprised by the video results tbh, considering quite a lot of reviewers agreed on the fact that the s23 ultra has closed the gap with the iphone which has been the video king for a long while. The thing that everyone agrees on is that the 23 ultra is one of the best phones released the last decade, it's just too complete.
the s23 ultra has flaws, it is not very consistent.
It is a very good terminal, but in forums there are many people who have bugs and are not very satisfied, especially after paying 1400 euros

When did you dream that? There are no bugs nor problems with the S23 Ultra. You talk like if it was a Honor or a Xiaomi with these buggy and bloaty UIs lol, the S23 Ultra is perfect in all aspects. It's the king of 2023 there is no doubt.

@@g0yit0 I don't have any bugs and others don't have any either. Of course that happens. With every device but the majority has no problems. I'm also very happy with the camera. Yes, the Honor can do that a little better and the Xiaomi something else, but overall the S23 Ultra is simply unbeatable and I'm glad I bought it. It also looks the best of all the devices.
My experience in night photos with s23U is not that dark, did you turn the night mode on?
Also, in the first portrait, why do you give perfect score to honor while the picture did not give the blur on the backgorund though?
The night mode turns on automatically.
The picture does have blur in the background though. The second portrait photo is also blurred way less than the others - that's just how the Honor flagship works sometimes.

Comparing depth of field versus subject life-like cropping is 2 different thing. What is the point when you have very blur background but your portrait look like a photoshop patch job?
Maybe thats your preference,but the Google photos re more natural and also detailed,I think that u Prefered unnatural and saturated photos
While it is true that the photos of the Pixel are more detailed, it takes better photos when there is enough daylight. You can't just get away by calling other photos unnattural when the Pixel's photos are too dark in cloudy conditions.

Just curious, did Google pixel 7 pro update the gcam verson to 8.8 from 8.7 in this comparison? Gcam verson 8.8 has some quality improvement compare to the gcam 8.7.
We always update everything before we go out - and the latest update (April) only improves the autofocus while taking macro photos.

This Is not true , camera update was big for Pixel including portrait mode . I am dure they hace not checked whic gcan versión they had. Having April update does not mean hace they last gcam version
The big camera update was in March - and they don't change as much as you think they do. The Pixel's Portrait mode is not good and won't be good.
Mine xiaomi been using almost a year, camera software lag n fail in many area, but after using gcam 8.8 it shines and i love my phone

Pixel photos often have the most realistic colours but are also often quite contrasty and fails to bring up the shadows a bit for when there is a face in the frame.

you didn't say much details about the s23 ultra but at the end he shows that he controls the market. This role was the same even against the iphone 14 pro max or whatever they call this phone

Most of the 'wins' are subjective preferences of the author. For me the Pixel 7 Pro took the most natural photos, especially those main camera daylight shots.
This. Cameras are mostly a matter of preference with high end phones.

I think google uses nightmode anyway even on normal mode but in samsung you gotta turn it on for night to look cool !!

...they were all on auto, so down to the AI. I assume Samsung's software decided night mode was not needed. In reality, you will manually change to night mode, so the photo will be better.

S23 ultra never disappointe
Subjective, but the results are close to what I concluded. Obviously, there are caveats, e.g. what matters to you? As a non-selfie or portrait user, those results are moot to me, bringing the S23U much closer to the others. It is still the best allrounder, but once you factor in the price, I would choose either the Honor (on sale for £850 versus S23U £1400 (both 12GB/512GB)) or the Pixel 7P, that has recently been as low as £700!
So, I would get the Honor and save £550. You also get a charger, screen protector and case in the box, buds (worth £169) and a fast wireless charger (£70). It may just fall behind the S23U in the camera department but that is an easy pill to swallow with the savings.

This is a well rounded comparison. However, I have 3 kids and the majority of my shots involve getting quick 'point & shoot' pictures of my kids. If you have kids or pets you'll know how hard it is to get them to sit still to compose an oh so perfect shot - like most of the reviewers do to compare the quality of the pictures these phones take. Like this fella said at the beginning, I reckon we are now in a zenith of smartphone photography. It's easy to get a good shot in almost any phone when you have it on a stand. The crux for me is the ability to get my phone out, open the camera app & take an acceptable picture quickly. I have just bought an Honor Magic 5 pro due to this very most common scenario. I have found the camera to be very very good indeed. Unfortunately the phone is really let down by its software. The S23u may well win nearly all these online 'reviews' but I've tried it and it's shutter speed, like the s21u & s21u before it, was very poor. More often than not, blurry & undefined shots in the type of use I used it for.
Yes I suspect that he like many other online "reviewers" are either paid by Samsung or want to be in with them by giving them undeserved wins.
have you tried to turn on the Quick tap shutter and Change the camera speed to prioritize speed? you can Add this to your samsung camera by adding Camera assistant from Galaxy store.
Ive been thinking on buying the honor magic 6 pro but im having doubts on its software and overall camera capabilities. A well rounded phone is still my best bet.

S23 ultra is the jack of all trades but master of none among the current crop of flagships. Consistent results even if it isn't in the top of the list is what makes it the best all-rounder.

You're not using the dedicated night mode of s23 ultra
Except you cannot swipe up to see your apps or it is annoying to do it. And the notification bar cannot be swiped from your home screen anywhere you like you have to go with your finger all the way up. So like 80% of the phone usage is a nightmare..
The amount of Samsung fanboys here is actually hilarious. Even when another device is CLEARLY better, they'll still cry that it isn't. Why watch a camera comparison if all you're going to do is overlook the facts for brand loyalty?

If you are color nerd like me, just look closely on the honor neutral color accuracy against the other phones that mix the colors especially at the background lights and the sky but on honor nothing is mixed and all colors are different as they should be. That is what quality images comes from and I don't own any of these devices but by my eyes I see the difference and honor magic 5 pro is #1 in camera image quality that delivers natural looking photos true to life. 😊
buenas tremendos telefonos son unas bestias , el q mas m impresiono creo q es el honor magic guao cmo a hecho bien las cosas honor y de segundo fue samsung , la verdad hablando del pixel nose xq ahora con el pixel 7 pro no levantaba casi las sombras y el enfoque estubo con mucho problema yo vi una comparacion con su anterior version osea el pixel 6 pro y pareciera mentira pero el pixel 6 pro levantaba mejor las sombras en la fotografia y el video osea y el enfoque era mejor q pasaria q bajaron calidad en sta nueva version si se supone q tenia q ser mejor las camaras jajaja q raro , el xiaomi sta bien todavia les falta por mejorar un poco mas todavia y seran una verdadera amenaza en las camaras , dlb...

it's pretty simple , you like colorful vibrant pics , instead of natural close to real life , thus you make pixel lose , it shows in the video too , it's most probably the preference , there's no freaking way a xiaomi or a honor can win against a pixel .
It has nothing to do with natural and close to real life. The photos are dark and dull in cloudy weather conditions. The Pixel always won the photo category when the weather was sunny in our comparisons.

Definitely I have both p30 Pro and honor and belive me the p30 is a monster and actually has a far superior night mode

great video, but lot of places scores are unfairly given to S23U even when they were worst of the lot. but fav is fav so no worries. the only place where they shine distinctly is 10x zoom.

Looks like you hate pixel or have some sort of problem. To me i think some part pixel did so good and it should be first. And pixel is the closest of WB others are just dramatic color and saturation.

Ugh, Samsung and its tendency to make images too bright with a slight yellow tint sometimes are holding it back. If they did like Google and were not afraid of colder tones and darks, they would be so much better. Well, still, when it comes to warm tones and yellow tint, Xiaomi sometimes turns it up to 11 and ruins good photos, I think. Worse than Samsung.

The cameras on the ultra from s21 onwards overhead far too often if you're outside in a warm environment. For that reason I've given up on them.

These are just somehow subjective to personal preferences
These types of comparisons will almost always be subjective. There are some things that aren't though - for example, you can clearly see the difference in quality when shooting videos, or if some photos look washed, too dark/bright, etc. These are what we try to point out. The rest is up to you!
