@@collectoremitter I picked one up about a month ago and am just crazy about it; I think you'd love it. It has a rich and pleasant effect on your signal but can remain subtle and sublime. I've found it stacks well with my Bearfoot Honey Bee and Spiral Yellow Drive.
Hmm, never played this but have been using a Echo Dream 2 for several years. The Echo Dream (also pt2399 based) sounds better to me but this does have some nifty tap tempo and other bells and whistles...
After waiting an entire year for this pedal, I couldn't be more disappointed. That preamp feature is virtually useless, as most of us in the pedal world already have tons of overdrive and fuzz to add to our chain if we need dirt, and those modulated sounds are a dime a dozen by this point. Literally we could just buy any delay from numerous dealers and get all the sounds this pedal has for about 2/3 the price. I had high hopes for this, I think all we really wanted was a kilobyte with tap tempo.... but this is just.. this ain't it, chief.
To the uploader though, good job on your demo. I'm not trying to spew negativity... I loved the kilobyte when I had it and only ever got rid of it for lack of tap tempo and I've waited so long for this and it is just very crushing.
I totally understand not being into how I used it. Check out the demo from Megan L for much cleaner tones. But this is a Kilobyte with only small tweaks, and the same preamp and modulation as the original. Definitely worth checking a different demo or playing one yourself before you write it off 🙂
@@collectoremitter Yeah sorry for that man, I added another comment so as not to downplay you- you didn't do anything wrong lol. I use delays super clean too so I don't mind that you did the demo clean. I still gotta try it out for myself but just in general I think I was expecting something different. I hope it changes my mind once I get to give it a shot [ I was actually hoping to do that today ]
All good dude! I didn’t want to to get disappointed in the pedal just from how I use it. If you like the Kilobyte, this will be perfect for you. But I also totally understand that sometimes people are looking for something different
I’m literally listening to this in a shower and it’s so calming, this is such a musical pedal and such a genius demo
Nothing like a beautiful riff to help sell a pedal!
Bravo. I knew a great demo of this pedal would hit the streets eventually.
Eventually? Didn't it just come out?
@@youngtough00 it was literally announced winter namm 2019. this was supposed to be out mad long ago
@@mindgoblin7068 ahh ok. I knew the Kilobyte had been out for a minute. Didn't know this had been in the making for such a long time.
Really nice modulation on this one. sweet c//e chords filling the atmosphere.
The modulation is just right. I love it!
Thank you for existing.
Thank you ❤️
Love the way you reviewed this pedal. Straight and to the point. Looking forward to binging more of your content over the next few days.
great reviews, simple and in the right context for the effects! all the best people sub ; )
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it
Sounds rad!
super nice one man! also they make such stellar stuff.
Thanks so much dude!
Great demo. Have you compared it to the kilobyte? I heard it’s a bit different in its repeat character.
I have the same doubt!
Beautiful! Loved this demo Ian, amazing tunes and tone!
It means a lot coming from you! Thanks dude
This makes me miss my kilobyte so bad!!! I’m definitely getting this one when I have the money
Thanks for this demo video. I just ordered my Megabyte. 15% off at AltoMusic.com today for Presidents Day. Absolutely stoked to play this pedal.
Bro I need a delay, chorus, distortion, and reverb pedals to go with my hydrasynth. Do you have any recommendations
Omg. Want.
Really nice tones and demo. Curious, you mentioned about delay times at the preamp bit, can the device do a simple slap back?
Yup! Sorry that could've been explained better. It will do a normal slapback delay or even shorter, and it can also go up to 1200ms of delay time
collector//emitter Thanks for expanding on that, much appreciated. Definitely a pedal on the hit list when I can....
@@MrTDembinski Glad I could help out!
Would love to see what you can do with a Météore!
That's on my list! I've honestly never played one, so I'd like to try it out

Did I see the word ‘cruncy’? 👌🏼

They're very different delays IMO. But both are amazing at what they do
What tuning?
EAEABE! My go-to tuning
Dude, that preamp sounds BEAUTIFUL. How does it react to the guitar's volume pot?
It's incredible! It does respond really well, to your volume pot or even just the dynamics of how you play
to my ears this sounds a lot like a tremolo pedal?
Maybe because the repeats can be pretty percussive which sounds like a choppy tremolo
I think this pedal would sound better with 600 ms... stacked after a kilobyte with 300 ms 😁
no thx i'll just wait for the gigabyte :P

yeah caroline should really just make a kilobyte with tap and save us all this wasted time. smh.
