The "dark" setting section after that 3:08 mark, with vinyl skip and warp effect...aw, man! Reason enough to buy this right there! I've had my eye on this one for a while, so thanks for your honest review- especially the recap at the end. Big respect for this pedal, but I do have other more pressing pedal needs before I go this route. LOVE those Caroline havoc switches though...

Completely floored by your kind comment. Thank you! I'm super stoked to hear you find insight and inspiration in my videos. Truly makes all the hours that go into making them totally worth it 🙏❤
Excellent pedal. Turns a regular guitar sound into thick, dreamy swirl or glitchy bleep-bloop goodness. Thanks for demoing what this pedal can do. Two criticisms I have of the Somersault are a) it doesn't take line level well on the Bright setting and b) this pedal is picky as to where it goes in the chain, as the Offset knob is a short slapback delay that can get extremely messy when the Somersault is placed before dirt.
I just got this pedal a couple days ago and I love it!! It's been a while since I've had a chorus and I really missed it. Thanks for the video, I might have to steal your settings too!!
Steal away, dude! Would be an honor if you could incorporate some of these settings into your music 😊 And I’m happy you’re enjoying the pedal. It really is a dreamy dimensional device 🌊
Another pedal I need to try, thanks to you ;) Subscribing to your channel is painful for my wallet. Another fantastic demo, with inspiring guitar playing as always. That tonefuchs guitar looks so rad!
Awesome Demo again Man! Top notch! I already have the Walrus Julia but I'm totally going to get this for my 2nd pedal board. Sent off the video to a bunch of my buddies and my My Brother another musician just subscribed to your Channel! Lets get that 30k! 😁 Have a great weekend!
Great demo! I've owned this for a while and it's great. The only downside is that when the pedal is set to 100% wet for vibrato sounds there's always a slight latency which you can't dial out. It makes it sound like you're playing slightly behind the beat. You could argue that laid back timing is part of the lo-fi thing, I guess... :)
You need to do a Microcosm deep dive like that new Meris video you just did. I mean... I know you've had it for a while but I like the way you teach pedals.
Rick C Make sure to test it thoroughly before buying. I got it and to be honest I find CB WV hifi a bit boring and it doesn't do much except on extreme settings in my opinion, and I think it is a bit misleading to call it warped Vinyl. Warped yes, vinyl no. I will probably swap it out for a Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water at some point, but that's a lofi thing. Other lofi alternatives are Cooper Fx Generation loss (Also the Chase Bliss/Cooper limited edition Generation loss) and Zvex Lofi-junky and Hungry Robot Pedals The Wardenclyffe Lo-fi Ambient Modulator. Must say though that I use my CB mainly with synths so this might got something to do with it.
One of the best decisions I had made was selling a CBA Warped Vinyl. Honestly, I hate all things CBA. Whether it’s the huge expense, mono output, gimmicky dip switches, subpar sound quality, extremely annoying fanboys, etc. A million settings and none of them actually sound good. They’re good at pulling the wool over people’s eyes. $300 for a digital reverb...and it’s mono. $500 for an analog delay with fake (XVIVE repro) MN3005 chips...no thanks, I’ll go buy a real big box EHX Memory Man for $300. If you want a great chorus buy a vintage Boss/Ibanez, Red Witch, Analogman, Tortuga, Retro-Sonic, etc.
I do not have a chorus and I am thinking this might be the one for me if I decide to get some kind of modulation, especially with the different types of sounds you can get.
Somersault would be a perfect first chorus pedal. It's super easy to use, and just sounds gorgeous straight out of the box. At the same time it's versatile and flexible enough, to cover everything from more classic sounds to wild and experimental tones.
Been binging these I'm getting into modular and want some wicked pedals to go with it and you have the best reviews on TH-cam. You make the pedals sound great man. Keep up the good work.
So I loved Somersault... BUT, the one I had introduced modulation into clean signal. If used a loop switcher wouldn't of cared, but couldn't leave it in the chain, fuzz was to wild through it bypassed. I also used Somersault into avalanche run for great fun

Since you seem to like similar music and tones as I do, I was wondering if there are any of the affordable multi effects that are actually worth buying? It would be really nice if say a hotone or nux or something actually sounds good enough to gig with, but i dont have a chance to try one out. And would they stack ok with pedals?
I haven't tried any multi-fx units by Mooer or Nux, so can't say. I use the Boss MS-3 myself though, and that's great. Some of my friends use the Line6 HX Stomp and Helix, and they are killer as well.
What brand of patch cables do you use? Also a question I can never find an answer to. If I have a board that requires me to use 2 or more power supplies. What's the best way to power the power supplies?? Standard extension or should I be looking for something specific?
If your board is THAT big, you might benefit from something semi-modular. If using two isolated power supplies, I shouldn't think it would matter, assuming each power supply TRULY is isolated. But a single main power cable is probably safer to avoid hum or in case one supply shorts out. [Not an electrician, so take my opinion with a grain of salt] CIOKS makes some extendable systems letting you add another box with additional 5-10 more outputs. Or go full modular with a GigRig Generator system. Expensive, but maybe worth it if you have that much to deal with. They're expensive, but once you have the bits and bobs, you'll never need another power supply. Simply add and subtract wires as your board grows or shrinks. Good luck to you!
