I so miss Prince of Persia.
Warrior Within was such a great game...it's nice to see someone still plays it.
There are tons of people still playing it, or should i say replaying it again and again. I get comments all the time that they like this masterpiece of a game that they're still playing at 2019.
I think I have an inadvertent cycle of playing the game every few years. I know it has its flaws but when someone asks me what my fav game is, warrior within is always the first thing I say without thinking. Absolutely love this game!

For all those trying this, let me tell you I did that and got the Scorpion Sword. After killing Shahdee, you meet with Kaileena in the chamber where she will give you the Serpant Sword. So all this hard work will go to waste as Scorpion Sword will be changed immediately to Serpant Sword.

So it's basically an alternative timeline, where the Prince found the Scorpion sword before he meets with Kaileena, and also he clear the library and other places, so he doesn't need to wear the mask, btw. he can kill Kaileena for the first time too cause, he is able to break the throne now, despite that he knows that Kaileena is the empress or not.

actually i've tried that my firend, but u'll get the scorpion sword broken at one point no matter what you did it, i tried every siungle alternative timeline u can think off, even if you kept skipping the storygates and zipped into the throne room th efinal fight still will not load !! and u'll be stuck in a loop forever

The dark theme and scary thrilling chases of dahaka, complex story, amazing graphics, metal music along with the Persian vibes. What a game it was. Unisoft really needs to remaster their POP franchise more than the deadwood AC
WW fans don’t know what the f they talking about. Persian vibes?? You mean the heavy metal rock or the Greek columns all over the place? WW is the worst. It’s repetitive, lacks Persian atmosphere, annoying fighting etc. SoT is much better but only people with taste seem to get that

The best thing about Warrior Within was the possibilities of being able to do so many things. Alternate ending is one thing but there are so many other things that you can do to enjoy the game. You can even fight both Kaileena and Dahaka in your Sand Wraith form.
I don't know why but… I really want to thank you for playing this. And I want to thank anyone who is interested in this series even now. This game was an masterpiece of mystery, of plot, of free combat, of tragedy, of atonement and… I can't really list out. I have been through countless emotions while playing this and I know you all feel the same.
By the way, if anyone starts a petition can you let all us fans know? We need to bring back this epic series!

I too play this game presently, it's one of my favorite, I play it in my phone using PPSSPP...... This game has one of the best storyline, unique actions, and the moment in the game when Dahaka chases you it increases the heartbeat

Avi its possible to skip it by zipping through the story, had fun breaking the game recently by teaching myself how to zip, skipped forward to the end of the game then skipped back to the second tower, absolutely destroyed the game, then kaileena broke the water sword and I got stuck with the broken lion sword forever. Rip

Hi Kapeesh! Big Fan of yours and PoP series and your videos as well ofcourse.
I wanted to point out a few things that might have made some things easier kinda and some my own experiences.
~The guys at 10:20 don't spawn when coming from top water fountain to down where they spawn, if you go to the closed door from the right side and don't step on the left, they don't spawn at all and you can zip through the door easily.
~After getting the scopion sword you can also zip through the big door at the right of the one where the big golem boss is in, from there you can track back to the portal from which we actually access the prison and get the time slow ability fast in your case.
~The jump zip at 29:20 as pretty cool. I never thought of that on my own, even though I did come to that place at that time.
~Lol at 34:00 I too have seen 2 golems here at once in the mech tower too, my cousin actually found them instead me.
~A thing I wanted to point out is that even though your save game said race to the throne it got override when you met shadee. And as you might know you can now even get all the life upgrades and get the water sword and fight kaileena at Max power now.
~I actually too got hold of the scorpion and water sword early and could only fight shadee with scorpion like you but kailenaa with scorpion or water by picking it on the spot at the hourglass chamber.
~The difference in our runs is that I went to the central hall as normal and did a cool zip the entrance of the mech tower and went along to the starting of the inner tower where the fountain is, and then zipped the door on the left where the 3 weak dudes come at you in the cutscene and made my way from library to scorp sword and got all the life upgrades on the way and fought kailenna too.
I know this is a super dumb long comment but I just wanted to share my experience with someone besides my cousin. I have zipped for hours in places people wouldn't even dare to or think of normally and screwed up the game so many times. Love you Kapeesh and your work❤❤.

I remember playing this game. It was my first POP that introduced me to the series. It was so awesome to play.

I understand that this video is old but, I can't be happy enough of the fact that, even after so many years, this game is still amazing. Like, I'am not kidding you. I love it. I played it back my teenager days, when I was 13 years old, and I'am playing it now. I beat it few days ago finally, cause it took me up to 5 days to beat it, cause I had a little trouble by trying to run it on Windows 10 Pro. And then, I was running around and trying to find all health upgrades to get a real ending, thus why it took 5 days. And man, I still love this game.
The graphics, the atmosphere, the gameplay, the violence and design of everything and everyone in general is so amazing that, I can't even describe how good this game is. Compare that what Ubisoft did for PoP Forgotten Sands and... well, Warrior Within is a masterpiece. And then they announced this mobile piece of crap for modern systems called Prince of Persia The Lost Crown and, just from seen it, I can already say that it is a piece of crap.
By they way, I always wonder, if it is possible to get your Eagle Sword back again without trainers, and if it is useful or not. And, is it possible to return to the shore, where you started in the present, but in past, when it's not yet destroyed? I wonder how the shore will look like.

That is called breaking the game logic. In my play through i used trainer for sands but what happened was really interesting to and need investing by the pop community so here is the whole-😂 in my experimentation with the game- i played it normally as we all do upto the point where we reach the past for the 2nd time after killing shahdee but later took a sharp turn and went to the sand wraith area as you did following upto the library and there i had no idea of how to jump on the top of the wooden ledge as you did. So i took the clock tower route that we see in library from the centre top using the rewind glitch i went through the door then from there i come back to the centre hall area from where we can use the lever to go to water garden or clock tower. When i came to the entry area of it i realised i haven't activated the lever so somehow after 30mins of trouble😂😂😂 i finally was able to reach the ground floor then from there i went to hourglass chamber-😂😂😂😂😅😅😢😢😢 just to loose the scorpion sword for a serpent sword yes prince dropped the scorpion sword for serpent. I dont have words for this.
I always wondered as a kid if it was possible to get to that gate across the chasm as the Prince at the start of the game somehow. My childhood self would've screamed seeing this video! xD

Thanks man! Warrior Within is my favorite of the trilogy for sure. And it is really fun to mess around with the story when you zip. None of the other games have that great of an effect. You could do it with the other 2 too, but in WW you have to revisit the places you've been which makes it a perfect game to skip a few parts and trigger the wrong cutscenes at the wrong times :D
@@KapeeshPC Agreed! The backtracking always provided more fun than frustration for me (and you I'm guessing) because it was really cool revisiting parts of the island again at different stages of your quest and being able to mess around.
@@sawnoff95 Definitely. It's like a mini-nostalgia moment. I've had that feeling with San Andreas, visiting Grove Street again after you are already halfway through the game.
And it's always interesting to see how it used to be and what it is now in Warrior Within. The past and present parts i mean. Gives me this eerie feeling which i love :D
@@KapeeshPC Yeah I get exactly what you mean, man. WW gets a lot of flack for being too dark and edgy but there's a genuinely creepy atmosphere that runs through the game, thanks in large part to the sheer sense of desolation in two time zones.
I have all the series of pop and i have played and completed more than a hundred time but still today if I play I still get thrills..... Coz this has separate fan base

A game like this has surprisingly small amount of glitches and exploits. The engine is a masterpiece of it's time.

@@KapeeshPC no, i am honest. This jump bug is the first serious glitch i've encountered.
Otherwise it runs really smooth.
It also has features like hair and cloth physics, inverse kinematics, pixel shaders, which is amazing.
@@guiltyshoes Oh my god. This game is the most unstable thing in the whole entire universe. Here's a list of bugs this game has (which i have encountered)
*The teleporting bug,
You cannot sometimes hold on to ledges, you go flying,
Prince lets go of ledges sometimes without me doing anything,
Game randomly makes you a sandwraith in the first half of the game,
While sliding down a curtain Prince goes down in light speed making it almost impossible to time it right with the jump,
The turning back time bug when you turn back time many times in short period of time which leads to wasting more sands than was actually wasted,
The Sandwraith mask bug, doesn't stay fully on sometimes,
You cannot grab the edge in the Gardens, which you need to do or you cannot progress in the game,
Balancing on poles and stuff leads to glitchy surfaces, making it impossible to jump where you need to jump,
The physics in this game actually have the affect in the game, when you turn back time curtains and ropes go flying and you cannot grab them properly*
These are just the things I have encountered, there are sooooo many more.

@@guiltyshoes I swear to god I did not try to find any bugs, these are just the things i have encountered while trying to progress with the story. And I remember them clearly because it was hard to progress while they were in the way.
The only thing that I tried to find was the thing that is in this video.
The game is amazing, but the bugs can really ruin the experience. But then again it wasn't meant to played on a widescreen or with Windows 10.

at 12:30 thanks the boss thrall isnt there sometimes it spawns there if you zip in that area. going in the library and prison area early is proven very difficult because enemies there are high level. I usually get the hockey stick weapon first at central hall before attempting to enter there early

Damn! With all the unsynched cutscenes, the game's flow itself confused, unintentional navigations like the wallrun at 41:30, this was one of the most interesting gameplays I've ever seen! The entire video I was wondering how you're gonna get down at the main hall and lo and behold you actually managed that too! I still can't wrap my head around the zipping ability though, is it meant to teleport the prince to the nearest navigable platform in view like you hinted before the zip at the main hall? Given how accurate and powerful it is I'm starting to think it was actually a hidden feature put there by the devs themselves just like cheat codes in the old games to test out the game at different stages. And your funny commentary made the whole thing even more of a blast! Thanks for making the video man!
Thanks man! It's just a bug, an interesting bug. In my first zipping video I explain how to do it and stuff. I wanted to do more, but there's not much to do tbh. Nothing interesting at least. I've done it all.
I am just curious will you lose the sword since kaileena gives you the serpent sword? Also you should have taken those life upgrades man
update- Yes you will. I took the scorpion sword and got all the life upgrades. Then I got the water sword. See If you want all the life upgrades then go ahead and take it. But remember once taken You will lose it forever. Even tho you lose the lion sword the cut scene where kaileena dies when both swords clash. At that point the water/scorpion sword will change back to the lion sword. And in the end you will not be able to finish the game.
My all time favorite ps2 game besides jak and dexter. I remember playing this game 7 years old even having my uncle taking me to block buster so he can’t rent it for me the good days
Bad idea to get this sword earlier in game. When you sholud get it its gone so you will have to pass Kailena's library with broken lion sword, which is very difficult. By the way, nice video!

Next time, try strangulation on the sand creatures. It helps save time :)
i.e. cuz you're a PC player so when you're not holding a second weapon, press E (2nd weapon attack) and keep tapping C (Cancel).

Yes, but you can also use the same trick to continue the game. But it gets real tricky then.
