- In today's vlog we make Italian meatloaf and it was delish! Then catch a short storm timelapse, which shows the fast moving clouds from Hurricane Hermine. We didn't have much rain though. Lastly we take the refrigerator installation issue into our own hands and get it done! So yay for the new fridge! Thanks again for watching and we'll see yo tomorrow with a new vid!

Nothing pisses Tim and Jen off. Have you noticed that? They're, like, super chilled! That fridge issue, that luckily turned out to be a non-issue, would've stressed me out. Everyone need the calming presence of the Trackers in their life! 👍👍

Hi, guys. This looks great! Just one tip for you in regard to the meatloaf. The reason theirs looks a bit more brown than yours is because they likely seared it before putting it in the oven. It's always a good idea to sear a protein before putting it in the oven. So when the patties were formed, you'd put them in a hot skillet with a little bit of oil, and cook about 1½ minutes on each side. Then into the oven. That would give them a beautiful sear and seal in the juices.

Porters Take on DC & Disney It's something that a lot of people realize. When you put meat in the oven without searing it, since it's cooking at a lower temperature (and a more indirect heat), the meat kind of boils a bit, and the texture never really can get crisp. Just be note to keep an eye on it and check it with a meat thermometer to make sure it doesn't overcook, since you've already cooked it a bit when searing.
Also, if you love meatloaf and don't want to go through all of the work to make one, a great way is to do like Tim & Jenn did... make mini loaves. Like giant hamburgers, but mixed with meatloaf ingredients. I personally mix mine with salt & pepper, eggs, breadcrumbs, garlic, freshly grated parmesan cheese, brown sugar, ketchup and, sometimes... crumbly, crispy bacon bits.... right inside the mix! You can make more of the sauce on the side with ketchup, brown sugar, and some apple cider vinegar (to taste).
+FireCracker3240 I definitely plan to do this! I'm currently eating low carb, and have a recipe that uses more parm as the binder. Would be great to make a few, so I have some ready for a couple meals! Happy meatloaf making y'all!

Hope everyone survived the hurricane. Lost power for over 24 hrs. Lost a tree that temporally blocked my driveway and my shed collapsed but other than that, all is okay. Have awesome neighbors that moved the tree out of my driveway. If you can, please help your neighbors during this time. We Floridians need to stick together. We will get through this! :)
This sounds a little strange... but seeing Tim install fridges and A.C. units has inspired me to break out the tools on some big projects. Tonight I hung two TVs in some crazy places for my work... something I would not have done if usually, but - I've been really inspired lately!

I'm in st.petersburg which is where hermine hit first. I have been out of school since Yesterday (Thursday) and the floods are too deep to drive in, so I'm stuck at home watching TH-cam videos, including the timtracker!.

thetimtracker the new refrigerator looks great! I bought a Samsung side by side last year and love it! We looked at the one you got but wouldn't fit in our space. I'm sure they told you but make sure you run 3 gal of water out of the dispenser and get rid of the first 4 or 5 making of ice. Sorry to be long winded

I was going to post on your earlier vlog if you knew your measurements. I sold appliances for a time and refrigerators were always problematic.

When Tropical storm/Hurricane Earl hit Central America (Specifically Belize) it hit every part of Belize, Tearing up trees and buildings.... But missed our town!
protip: if you line your baking sheet (the one with the green beans on it) with parchment paper, you will not have to scrub your baking sheet ever again! The pan will just need a quick wash but no more scrubbing as you will no longer have any baked on food stuck to it. It has to be parchment paper (not wax paper or aluminium foil) as it is designed for oven use and is non toxic.
I actually use Aluminum Foil all the time with all my oven bakes, and I have no issues.
Congrats on getting the new fridge in the kitchen! I'm still #teamlivingroomfridge but I guess the kitchen is a more practical place for it.Peeling the plastic off new electronics is the most satisfying feeling ever.

I just bought a new fridge and to watch the delivery guys messing around for 1 hour trying to change the doors around and i had to give them tips. Then i realised i could have saved some money doing it myself. Oh well i am happy with a new fresh fridge.
When I had my first apartment right out of high school, my fridge was actually in the living room. It was really handy :D

We have a very similar fridge, and that little plastic shelf in the freezer section? Besides ice packs, it's great for holding packages of hot dogs. :-)
