I guess if you decide that you don't want to continue to receive the food, at least you end up with a few new recipes that you might have never tried on your own. Winning!
You guys should try Blue Apron instead. They're a little more reputable. They also give you an option to choose certain types of dishes you'd prefer, and lets you completely opt out of different dishes as well (like no pork, no meat and seafood, etc..) Their directions are easier to follow as well, in my opinion. I suck at cooking, but was able to make some pretty great food fairly easily.
Agree that Adams travel vlogs are amazing! Almost hypnotic. I binged 4 or 5 the other night. So many cool, kitschy sites in this great country of ours.
Try a clear plastic squeeze bottle with a skinny nozzle for your olive oil...like the one for condiments. That's what we put our oil in, and it's so much easier to drizzle.
Jenn try making stuffed zucchini with stovetop stuffing. Boil the zucchini for 5 mins. Then scoop the boats out and add the scooped zucchini to the stovetop mix. Stuff them then bake for twenty mins@350 degrees. I like adding diced tomatoes to mine. Enjoy!
What you should have done is taken the temperature of the meat when it arrived. If it is stored correct it should be under 5 degrees. Anything over 8 degrees can be risky as bacteria starts to grow after that, particularly if the meat has been left out for a long time. I would just put the whole thing straight from the delivery into a fridge instead of taking it all out and laying it on a table. You dont need to risk your health to show us what food you are having for the week. This is part of what i do for a living every day. Meats are a high risk product. Always better to be cautious.
Just discovered you guys! I love all of the disney and Orlando vids and am finding myself watching your vlogs more and more. Thanks for being cool and awesome!
I'm so glad your watching Adam. You guys introduced me to him on your Vlog. He is something. I totally agree with your conclusion that we probably eat meat that has been at room temperature at the store. We just don't see it. I'm sure a lot of the frozen foods melt and refreeze. I'm glad you talked to the company. Good deal. Thanks again and your upload speed is AWESOME. Take care.
Yay for faster internet! I like Adam the Woo too. His channel has brought me joy when I needed it most. I am glad to have stumbled across his channel and yours as well.
I know I am like, way late to the party- but the thing that gets me about the Hello Fresh deal (and all other dinner subscriptions) is the fact that there's so much garbage! Boxes, baggies, etc.. We both hate taking out the garbage, so the more we can cut down on that, the better. The finished product does always look good, though!
what i usually do to have more control over oil is to put it in squeeze bottle, have to say much easier to use when cooking and when using the broil setting on your oven, it's recommended to leave the oven door cracked and to put one of the cooking racks on the highest bar and set the plate on the middle bar
When the oven is broiling, its heating something at a very high temperature which creates smoke, if you leave the door open it helps to vent the smoke/steam
so they will feed a family of four the hello fresh ???that calender you have in the kitchen what kind is it ??? that stuff adam has been seeing is amazing i never been down route 66 but im wanting to go now
I too have been watching Adam the woo daily channel as I'm from the uk I too love seeing the interesting stuff and places his been to that I probably would have never know about or been to .
I am also keeping up with Adam the Woo, and Justin. Loving Adam's travels right now. Not sure about trying the "Hello Fresh" now. I make something similar to what they are sending you. I love my own zucchini sticks, my family craves them. We are in Texas so we certainly understand the "HEAT". Keep cool and thanks for sharing.
TIM I just watched a video by LivefastDiePoor And I saw YOU IN IT!!!!!! It was the 5 weird things at Magic Kingdom Video!!! I was so excited to see my favorite vlogger in another vlogger's video!
Don't worry about meat from the store, we have something called the 30 min rule. If refrigerated/frozen foods are left out for longer than 30 mins then it's no longer fit for sale. It's good to use as a guide at home
That meat would have made me very nervous...but Tim is right...we don't know what kind of shape our meat comes in when it arrives at the super market...I was going to say, I would call them and tell them about the meat and those veggies...they didn't look all that great...glad it worked out ok and that the meat part was good!!
Awesome video, love watching you guys cook. Still think they should also send you dessert versions with your meal subscriptions 😆 that would be even more delicious!😋
Cool about the internet! I personally wouldn't eat the meat! Nice you contacted the company, and such a very nice company they gave you a refund! It's a very nice concept having it delivered as so, and seems so fun to prepare, and everything does look delish!
Hey guys...Glad you contacted the hello fresh people!! I thought you should get a credit or something. I've been wanting to try them out too!! Food looks great!! We,are a family of 4 so not sure how our kids would like some of the recipes! I'll have to check them out!! Thanks so much!! Take care!!
Those recipes look really good. I may give them a try even though they seem to have some issues. I'm glad they refunded you for the meat and even sent new! Congrats on the new internet!
ahhhhhhh jenn......there again i seen the chopping board move away from you....use a dish cloth WET and place it on the top of the dishwasher and put the cutting board on top...girl your going to wind up with out a limb....or a major trip to the hospital....to cute with you singing and the internet guy was there....LOL LOL where is DOUG???? GREAT VIDEO!!!!
the music that you used when you diced the mushrooms and stuff is the same music that a Gamer TH-camr used on his farming Minecraft series and that's all I can think of now XD
I get Hello Fresh every week. How frozen were the ice packs? You mentioned that in the past they have always been completely frozen. I have never had a completely frozen ice pack. They are usually half way frozen and half liquid. But the meat is always cold and I have never ever had a problem with it. I would say as long as the meat still felt cold to you, you are ok.
I'm jelly of the DL speed. I thought my 79 down was good! Just make sure you have a router buff enough to push all the data to your devices. 802.11 AC of bust!
ring them up they are really good at sorting out problems I have had in the past even when I said I hated a recipe the chef contacted me asking for feedback they are pretty good.
I know it's a lot of work, but if you open the meat and it smells ok, I would cook up those meals right away and then eat them promptly as left overs, but by cooking them asap should help. Still, if there is any doubt, just dump it. You could replace the meat and dairy with fresh from the store and still prepare the recipes. Just some ideas, be careful, don't want you guys sick!
Lemme tell ya Trackers. I worked at very high end grocery store in San Francisco. If you saw the things I saw and knew the things I was instructed to do you would never shop again and grow your own food. Did you know Aquanet takes the printed date off anything? Good times....good times.
i've never tried hellofresh, but i did try blue apron. from what i can tell, blue apron seems like it's a better food subscription service. i never had issues with freshness and i always felt that the instructions were really intuitive (i know jenn has complained about the hellofresh being difficult to cook). i'm not sure if you guys looked into blue apron, but if you decide to cancel hellofresh, you might want to check out blue apron as another option!
Regarding the oil Jenn: yes that's me ALL THE TIME. I always have a tiny bit then I'm like "ehhh a little more" and it all comes out. There's no in between
I know it's not good, but honestly my meat gets to room temperature every time before I get home in this Florida heat (using a cooler and cooler bags). I don't like it but it's not efficient for me to stop home after every store before going to other stores or picking my kids up. We've never been sick here.
i love the fact that no one wants to call people. lol. I'm like that. I'm like do you have an email or maybe an online chat?? no? oh okay. Its not that important. lol
You guys just inspired me to do a "Speed" test. Here are the abysmal results: PING 30ms Download speed 2.84 Mbps Upload speed 0.67 Mbps So, yeah... apparently those Comcast turtles they used in ads years ago are whizzing right by me. :-/
i know i am late, but you should not eat anything like meats and such (and the yogurt) if the temperture of the food is higher than 40 degrees for more than 4 hours. Good luck with it. Nice to see fellow central floridians. Bye from Brian from Baldwin Park.
It was totally fine the first week, but because of the holiday falling on a Monday the shipment was delayed by a full day. We will see how next week turns out.
I just signed up for Hello Fresh. I haven't gotten my first box yet but enjoy your observations. And I would certainly call them if I got stuff room temperature...bleh...
We signed up just for 1 week then suspended it till we wanted to get another one. Our package came with water filled bags which at one point would have been frozen, but all the meat was then wrapped in a fibre filled packaging. But our box was totally dry.
Interesting. The first week we got the box everything was still very cold and the ice packs were still very frozen. This week the ice packs were a little more melted. I think it would stay colder if they shipped it in styrofoam rather than that fiber filled stuff.
I would contact them, maybe its the courier company that isn't storing it right, they should be using refridgerated vans. Our package was delivered by Yodel which didn't exactly inspire me.
I would be more concerned if there were large ice crystals since that is evidence of food being refrozen which is grounds to reject a frozen product. Also, as long as it is delivered to you below 41 degrees Farenheit, it is good to eat the product. This has been drilled into me since my degree is Consumer Foods and I work in food service. Just some info if you decide to continue the subscription.
also i think you can pospone shipments as well, I did blue apron and you could skip a week or month, you just go on the website and say i dont want this week or that week
I am so glad you decided not to have that meat I have had food poisoning before and believe me it was bad flet bad for a week that Internet is fantastic love the video X UK
My wife and I made the stuffed zucchini yesterday. They gave us two of the smallest zucchini I have ever seen. It still tasted delicious, but definitely not like in the photos they provide with the meal.
i would open the meat and feel if it is super sticky, discolored and stinky. if so i would throw it out, if not you should process it immideatly, cause if it already was warm you cant put it back in the fridge. then it will defenitly go bad.
Just a bit of unsolicited advice - spend a few dollars and replace the chicken and pork. Bacteria doesn't grow very well on red meat & if you cook it thoroughly you'll probably be OK, but the chicken & pork are a different story. I'd really hate to see you guys get sick. Glad they refunded you the money for it. Love what you guys do.
Hellofresh has been playing with their packaging alot lately, different ice packs, boxes and such. these new ones seem to come less cold then before. we have had some ingredients come after a holiday not in great shape and have sent a note along and they respond quickly and have given a credit before. feedback is always helpful
It would be so much cheaper to go to Publix or Winn-Dixie and be able to pick out the food to your satisfaction. Sure it's going to take an hour out of your busy schedule and neither of you like to grocery shop, but money is money, and with Winn-Dixie you get gas perks. Last week my fill up cost me, for 20 gallons, $3.80. I got my gas for $0.19 a gallon.
It seems fairly reasonable at about $10 per person per meal. I feel like I couldn't get these meals at the store for that price. I know I could do cheaper meals, but these are really tasty and something we would never know to cook on our own.
Maybe once we actually close on this house and move back to fl (next week fingers crossed) I might make my self a challenge and make a list of what you get and buy it at the store and see :) It looks great and all very fresh.. Neat how you kinda have to try new things! I just think I can make $100 go 2 weeks and that was when I was eating Paleo and buying all fresh and organic foods no processed cheap junk
I guess if you decide that you don't want to continue to receive the food, at least you end up with a few new recipes that you might have never tried on your own. Winning!

I get super nervous about meat like that, knowing me, I would have thrown it out haha
I am the same way with meat I say better safe than sorry !!!
We decided to throw away the meat. We are getting new meat today and they gave us back our money for this box.
I watch you guys, Adam the Woo, and Justin Scarred. I look forward to the vlogs...they help make my day. Triple awesomeness!!!
I love Jenn's face on the calendar behind you guys!! Seriously the best!
Haha!
Try a clear plastic squeeze bottle with a skinny nozzle for your olive oil...like the one for condiments. That's what we put our oil in, and it's so much easier to drizzle.
Meat should be packaged and stored below 40 degrees F! I would contact them! You are paying WAY too much for subpar food!
We contacted them and they gave us our money back. We threw away the meat and we will be buying new meat today.

A handy tip if you wanna chop/mince garlic...use a micro plane. It's much easier, quicker and you can grate it right into your pan or dish 👍🏾
Fast internet is a joyous occasion indeed :) Your happiness is always infectious to me anyways, thanks for sharing these moments with us!

This comment brightens my day! Thank you!!!
Such a good vlog. That food looked so yuuuuuummmmyy Jenn, good job. Happy you got your money back too.
the music that you used when you diced the mushrooms and stuff is the same music that a Gamer TH-camr used on his farming Minecraft series and that's all I can think of now XD
A tip with Quinoa Jen, is that you're supposed to rinse in it water first :)
Good point u made about the grocery store vs fresh food concerns . Tim
Jen your to cute cooking BUT" it looked amazingly good ♥
Those internet speeds! ...netflix streaming binge? Haha...and I loved our 100up/100down!
We love our new internet speed!!! It is amazing!

ring them up they are really good at sorting out problems I have had in the past even when I said I hated a recipe the chef contacted me asking for feedback they are pretty good.
Yay for fast internet!!! Y'all are awesome!!!
Just as Jenn said the internet man was upstairs, my own internet went down for a couple of minutes hahaha
You guys are awesome! can't wait to come to Florida on Sunday!
I'm going to florida Sunday to. litt
+MarMar Watkins in going on Monday lol
Thank you! It's going to be really hot on Sunday, get ready for the heat! :-)
I love watching Adam the woo I like all the things he sees on his trip

WAOO!!!! super speed internet, how much do you pay in US for that?? I'm just curious, here in Panama I pay $27 monthly for 15Mbps
at least at publix... if we are even a little iffy about whether the item is cold enough it is usually damaged out. We take our cold chain seriously.
Please tell me what company you got the new wifi from! Our wifi is ok, but I would love fast internet. Awesome video by the way!
Quinoa is a fun word!...(I would just do the smell test on the meat when you open the packets - if it smells off, don't eat it!)
I've never been good at knowing what good meat smells like. Most meat smells off to me even if it is right out of the fridge.
woo is great, glad I found him through you guys.
I would worry more about the pork and chicken than the beef. So I hope you are both ok, we wouldn't want anything to happen to either of you.
We decided not to eat the meat.
+TheTimTracker very wise, better to be safe than worry
Good lord! That download speed is incredible!

yay for new internet!
Food if the mail makes me nervous. Glad it seemed to work out okay
I just signed up for Hello Fresh. I haven't gotten my first box yet but enjoy your observations. And I would certainly call them if I got stuff room temperature...bleh...
You guys are so brave! I'd be afraid to chance it.
Where are you guys in the kingdom keepers series? I just finished number 4 and I was curious.
We still haven't finished the first book. :-0

So early! Yea! Love yalls vlogs! :) 💚
Hooray!!! Thank you!!!
do yall know adam ? hes the reason i sleep in a van and travel all over the u.s i met him in cali last year really humble dude
I went online they had an offer for a free meal and I got it! I can't wait to try it.
I think it comes frozen. And if it's cold should be fine but you don't know if it gets warm at any point.
It was about room temperature when we got it. We decided not to eat it and go and buy new meat.
also i think you can pospone shipments as well, I did blue apron and you could skip a week or month, you just go on the website and say i dont want this week or that week
This is true! We will probably do this the next time a holiday lands on a Monday.
I am so glad you decided not to have that meat I have had food poisoning before and believe me it was bad flet bad for a week that Internet is fantastic love the video X UK
Yeah Adam is really cool!
Internet-Man to the rescue!!!! Thanks Internet-Man!!!!!
I got the hellofresh vegetarian box. They sent it a day later to me also. The vegetables were bad at this point. It was very disappointing.
I cannot believe how fast your internet speed is!! I live in the UK and my max download is 6mb!!!
Glad they refunded your money and hope you went to the grocery store ....I had Food poisoning once omg the worst
I pray my relationship is this good when I’m older
He's here and he's interneting lol
Tim wears contacts?! I wanna see you in glasses Tim!
I do! I never wear my glasses though.
Did they fix the Elisa at Disney ride
is that a Tottenham hotspur magnet on the fridge
6:26 Everything you just showed had signs that it was stored in a warm place.
Put your thumb over the opening of the oil to drizzle it
Just a bit of unsolicited advice - spend a few dollars and replace the chicken and pork.
I'm thinking you could just get the recipe for any dish you want and just go get fresh stuff at Publix.
"You can't beat room temp meat"......especially when it's free.
I would contact the food people and tell them about your food temps. Don't chance it.
22mbs is still super fast compared to my 3mbs, and that's the fastest available.
Hello fresh seems pricey to me... But I like to shop lol But the recipes look AMAZING!!!
Shout not the only ones who would get hype over speed internet
I'm so excited for our fast internet!
