You guys should get a real Pepsi and a Crystal Pepsi THEN do a blind taste test by blindfolding yourselves. That would be a true test of whether or not you can tell the difference between the two. :-) OH AND, you should try toasting the Pop Tarts up next time. Love you guys!!!!

Thank you for taking my suggestion on the pop tart taste test. Too bad you couldn't find the Orange and Root Beer flavors. I enjoyed watching you taste pop tarts tha you found. They are definitely weird flavors or a Justin would say Weeeeiiiiiirrrrrrddd. If you still have them you should try and toast one of each and see how the tastes changes. I am thinking they might have a stronger flavor if they are toasted.

Haha butter flecks is an awesome name! I've had maple bacon fudge and that was good but I'm up in Canada so that's not super abnormal....it just tastes like when you have pancakes with syrup and bacon on the side and the syrup mixes in with the bacon. #yumm
The pop tarts are at Walmart. Also Jen try pan frying left over spaghetti mixed with the sauce and chunks of a cheese that melts well. My grandma used to do that with the left overs and it was so good!!!!

My co-worker gave me some of the maple bacon AND root beer pop tarts but I haven't tried them yet. If you guys don't ever find the root beer ones, I'll toss 'em in the mail to you-ha! You know...back when Crystal Pepsi was around I thought it was terrible, but I scored a Diet Crystal Pepsi somewhere and I remember that being much better. I remember the Crystal Gravy commercial from SNL too...had totally forgotten about that!

Ahh, the ol' Crystal Gravy bit. It was really gross and really funny. I always pair it in my head with the Gravel cereal bit they did to parody Grape Nuts cereal.
I really do admire your adventurous spirits , especially food and drink wise. Once it's in your mouth, it's going down the hatch. Don't know how you do it. My mouth doesn't work that way. It's got an auto eject response if something goes in there that tastes bad.
Pepsi was marketed as a refreshing drink that also aided digestion- good call, Tim.
Yes!!! Pan fried pizza!!! My hubby introduced me to that. I used to always reheat my pizza in the microwave and he would tell me thats gross. haha. He did the whole pan fried pizza thing for me and it was delicious hahaha ... AND I bought a crystal Pepsi today and it tasted basically like nothing :p

It's probably GMO corn for the high fructose corn syrup.
Crystal Pepsi came about originally because there were public rumblings about additives in food. Pepsi said "hey, here is a version of Pepsi without artificial coloring" I think at first it was sorta well received. Then things went downhill and the public turned on Crystal Pepsi.
Funny now Crystal Pepsi warns about GMOs when the original Crystal Pepsi came about because of removing artificial coloring.
Warm a Maple Bacon pop-tart in the oven with some butter on top. That might be good.
Watermelon pop-tarts are for a special set of taste buds that I don't have.

It's been awhile since I've had a poptart but I remember they taste best when you warm them up in the toaster.
David from Fresh Baked and his girlfriend tried the Orange Crush & A&W Root Beer pop tarts. They hated the Crush ones but liked the A&W ones. He has his own channel Duke of Dork that shows it. Both do not sound good to me. Why does Kelloggs have to keep coming up with weird flavors? I use to eat pop tarts but not anymore. I ate them right out of the package or toasted them. This show was so fun!

I like the watermelon poptart but warm :-) Never tired the others can't do it.
The color for Pepsi, Coke, Dr. Pepper, etc, comes partially from the flavorings (vanilla extract, cola bean extract, etc).
I have read that the "caramel color" is there as much for the caramel flavor (or at least originally) as it was for color.
i absolutely love the watermelon and pink lemonade poptarts but i refuse to try the orange soda and maple bacon poptarts lol i'm so weird!!

Anyhoo , thanks for doing this..Have you ever had bacon and bourbon ice cream? I tried it at an ice cream shoppe in Deland, it was pretty good. Jen always gorgeous girl!
You guys should look for the Pink Lemonade Pop-tarts. Definitely one of the weirder flavors.

I don't know if it is the same for Pepsi but coke made a colourless coke specifically for the ruler (president?) of Russia during the Cold War because he liked coke but felt that it was 'too American' to be seen drinking! So he asked the company to make him colourless coke!

You should do a blindfold test with a Crystal Pepsi and regular Pepsi. See if you can taste the difference!

Ya have to toast them. I had a Fresh Maple Bacon Donut (real bacon) and oh it was good.
