yes. If you play direct x 12 games.. the 7600k will struggle. Games like Ubisoft and Battlefield, Tombraider will stutter horribly. 4 cores is not enough for modern games. 8 threads is enough but 4 threads are not.

i did this upgrade, from 5.2ghz 8700k to 5.2ghz 12700k its about 40-50% more performance in games and more than double in multitasking. hope i could answer your questions :)

Dá pra ver como o 7600k envelheu mal, pois sem o hyper threading os nucleos são afogados e parece q dessincronizam em games cpu bound, por isso é bom sempre ter cpu com nucleos logicos adicionais, pois dá um folego bem maior a longo prazo, por esse motivo troquei meu i7 9700k por um i9 9900k, pois apesar de ficar com altas taxas de quadros, a estabilidade ja estava ficando comprometida, eu considero cpus sem HT capados e sem futuro...
Troquei o meu 7600k pelo i5 12400f agora pelo mesmo motivo. Pensei em pegar o k ou um i7 mas a diferença de valor está muito grande e o 12400f já empurra a 3060 ti tranquilo.

50-100%+ difference isn't "big"? Not point comparing stock CPU versus overcooked CPU. You can OC the 7600k and the performance gap remains the same. The 12600 is a huge upgrade over the 7600
@@sleepnaught Tout dépend l'objectif fps du joueur. Si l'objectif c'est 60 fps, alors la différence sert très peu, sauf pour les fps à 1%. Si l'objectif c'est 144 fps, alors la différence est grande et utile. Le 7600K est de toute façon assez dépassé, et ça sera de pire en pire

The problem is that after taking inflation into account, the price/performance is the same lol.
You need 3090 to get such a difference. Note that in most games even 12600K does not utilize this card to the maximum.
But who buys the RTX 3090 to play 1080p? In 4k, the differences between these CPUs will be negligible

ok but why you test a medium ends cpu with a 3090? i think the 7600k bottleneck the gpu thats why you see a lot of less performance...

Forza 5 runs bad in 1080p with only 4 cores and 4 threads and Battliefield 2042 is unplayable 4 core cpus are pretty much dead now.
