Personally, I've gone a totally different route. I use a small honda generator, a fifty foot cord and a Toro leaf blower. Man that thing works good. If I need to go farther that I wanna carry the generator I throw it in the back of the van, go to the area and go to work. No long powercords and no stopping to recharge and 8 hours of continuous use.
Very interesting video and very educational as always thank you sir heath and thank you Mrs Rachel always a pleasure thank you both for your honesty and keeping it real
I want to get one for my driveway, so when I back in the morning (dark) I can see the Concrete divided driveway pads, and not fall off, (severe tire damage! LOL). I have the driveway from hell in the winter. My current blower is a Crapsman, WITH A POWER CORD! HAHA! Thanks Michigan!
It was a great video, Rachel. The battery blower would be great for light snow on the step and on the driveway. I agree with Heath, battery has its place other than chainsaws.
for professional use, endurance, ie how long do the batteries last and how fast do they charge is also important. It determines how many extra batteries and chargers you need and if you need an extra powersource to charge them. In autumn we used to blow leaves 8 hours per day and a gas blower can get filled up fast. changing batteries also can be fast but how many spares do you need/have and how do you charge them? I like battery powered, but not in all situations.
I do know they charge pretty quickly but haven’t run it long enough yet to drain them. If running all day has is probably the way to go. For quick grab and go jobs I really like the battery option.
I know a few models that will change your mind about blowers. the husqvarna 580 mk3 and it's redmax version the ebz8560, or the echo pb-9010, and finally the new husqvarna 590, and it's redmax version the ebz9000. look into those blowers and give any of them a try you'll be blown away (pun intended) 😆
Overall they're fairly equivalent. I guess it's whatever application you're using it for. But if you have that many trees in your yard I would definitely be cutting a lot of trees down as you would in your landscape. Overall comparable in terms of use, maintenance and durability. But for professional purposes stick with the gas. Thanks and I do have a bad boy catalog from when you got your saw Heath, so it gave me an idea of performance ratings. I definitely would be like Uh-huh if someone expected me to clean up those leaves. Thanks guys, did Rachel assure you that there was nothing in your way when you were walking backwards?
I have 8 acres here in western PA. I'm blowing 500 yards driveway that is covered by hardwoods and the 2 acres around the house. It takes me, with th BT150T about 4-5 hours. I'll need 15 batteries to blow so many hours. I can see someone with less than 1 acre using the battery operated one. But for half a day worth of blowing leaves I don't think so.
I prefer gas one. I can run it all day, just fill up the tank when it's out of gas. However, if battery runs out, you stop and charge it.
True, for grab and go quick jobs the battery is nicer. But for all day jobs I can see the advantages of gas.

They are good for clearing trails through the woods for quieter deer hunting.
Yes they are!

Thanks David! We love testing stuff out and helping others along the way.

Oh man, ditch the cord!!
You need to look at the blower that Outdoors with the Morgans uses.
That thing is awesome but costs over $8,000!!
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors I never asked him the price but it looked like it would blow the heavy leaves into another world.
Heath I think you ought to get one of those blowers like Mike Morgan has that has the Buffalo Jet Blower that hooks on the back of the tractor
That thing is awesome, but also costs over $8,000!
Hello guys, agree with Rachel👍🇺🇸
Thanks, I do too sometimes lol.

I agree Lenny! Thanks.
For home use , the Bad Boy for the win . For commercial use gas.
I agree!

I’d like to run one of the more powerful blowers one day. But for grab and go quick projects the battery is tough to beat.
I have the biggest husky makes love it
I was looking at the big Stihl but wanted the convenience of battery.
How has your deer hunting been this season. Here in Texas it has been too hot
It’s been pretty slow here as well. A lot of young bucks but not many mature bucks this year.
hi there interesting , best to all john
Thanks John!

I can definitely see the gas versions for long jobs or commercial work. But for smaller grab and go jobs the battery blower rocks!
TRY THE EGO BLOWERS WAY MORE POWER THAN EVEN YOUR GAS BLOWER! WHATS THE CFM RATING ON THOESE BLOWERS?
I don’t remember but very similar.
What are the specs between the two?
I don’t remember ex but very similar.
Wow you two HEARING PROTECTION
If we run them for any amount of time we always wear hearing protection.
The dual battery one works better, Milwaukee
Yes they do.

We haven’t run it enough to test battery life yet.
Even the biggest leaf blower has the same issue . Mulch with a lawn mower.
Definitely, we do that as well. This was just a way to test them.
👍
I prefer gas, lasts longer and easier to fuel up! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
For all day or commercial work gas still has the advantage in my opinion.
Hello everyone
Hello!
Convenience=battery
All day work =Husq.
You guys are qualified to work collecting leaves for a Trump Forest Service job ! 🤣👍🇺🇸
Thanks Jimbo! I’d work for him!
Really hard to find a gas powered one out here because well it's California and they're a bunch of candy butts
Yeah, I don’t think I could live out there! The Nad Boy is a solid option though.
Tell Rachel she is good looking
Dude, you make this same comment every video. You're creepy.
Will do.
I have a big husky BPB wouldn't trad it for anything. Don't talk too much it's disturbing !
Cool
