I'm saying they aren't bland because they are *extremely* what they're supposed to be: sassy, fat black woman, old Asian woman, trans person, etc. None of that is bland - they're undesirable to play as characters.

Characters not having ultimates is the big downside for me, I got bored playing the game after only 2 matches due to this. Only 2 abilities per character, barely gives them a chance to be unique/have their own identity. Also this being 40$? Like what is the reason for this? Their marketing manager is a braindead idiot? There is nothing special about this game not enough to pay for. If it was free peoples attitude towards it would be different. Whoever had the idea to make it buy to play killed the game entirely not even giving it a chance.

lol unstable, I played with a group of friends all weekend and no one crashed a single time. Not even the people with shitty builds. Hell, the reddit has no one complaining about crashes. This was the most stable beta I've seen from a game. Complaining about subjective things like art and characters is whatever, but why lie. They even patched it twice over the weekend to fix dual monitor bugs that didn't even break the game.

The game no one asked for. Regarding them needing to take some criticism and make some changes, it's not going to happen. The game is too close to release to make major gameplay or progression changes. That's just the nature of AAA game development. Does anyone remember the Suicide Squad delays and how a bunch of people thought they would result in major changes from the betas? Yeah, the changes didn't happen then either and those were two major delays that were a year and six months long.

Played it and didn't care for it. Is it horrible? Destiny PvP is dope, but this skips the process of having to grind for builds/gear. The biggest issue is the fact that it’s $40 😂 This def feels like a free to play & there are def f2p’s that have way more content. Unfortunately, this game may have the same fate as Onrush~
I would legit pay money to play Destiny 2 Forsaken Launch PVP again. That meta and player population was absolutely awesome. The guns were fine with not a lot of cheese, abilities were not over the top, and they were way less spam oriented. Destiny PvP has continued to get worse from that point.

I got a beta code invite, played a few matches Saturday and then a bunch on Sunday and everything just felt… generic. Like buying knock off GI Joes from the grocery store aisle as a kid in the 80’s. The characters are clear rip-off’s of Marvel (both MCU and comics) and Overwatch characters. The maps have no soul, the gunplay is just a copy of Destiny and Overwatch, the game modes are the standard types of FPS modes we’ve been playing since Halo 2 and Battlefield. Everything feels like a cheap clone that you KNOW is done better elsewhere. All those “elsewhere” places are free or close to free, so why should I pay for a knock off experience?
I have lived in Japan for over a year now, I am Cuban and no has been no racism or discrimination. Also I live in rural mountain side Japan, very country. Also there is a Mexican guy in my neighborhood who who has been here for 3 years and local yakuza even took him out for drinks and drifted in cars. I live in Gunma where initial D takes place
I'm Southeast Asian that lived in Japan for three years and yeah, rural Japan where I was at least was extremely welcoming and kind. Came back a couple months ago to the US and I already miss it. Can't wait to stay there again and say hi to my friends back home.

Concord seems to be a competently made hero shooter. The problem for me is A) why pay for a new one if I already own Apex Legends or OW 2 and B) what does Concord have that the other game(s) I'm playing do not? There doesn't seem to be any unique draw and that also means I have no reason to justify the pricetag to myself. ... It also doesn't help that Overwatch has a very extensive and diverse roster where each character is likeable while this game seems to be proud of the fact that there might be all of 5 people worldwide that would actively seek out Rule 34 content for its roster and not regret it immediately. Graphics and visuals may not be everything, but they also aren't nothing.

i am currently playing First Descendent, my main complain besides the really poor UI design is the super duper uber fast movement. it is so fast you barely see the environment and the enemy before bullet hose them down. looks like this game can get 30% faster, and First Descendent can be 30% slower lol
Charging for a free to play game in an over saturated genre was always going to make it an uphill battle. But having uninspiring characters and poor map design when they're the life blood of these games was just the nail in the coffin. I feel like the devs said "We're about to add features into the game that no one asked for and focus on all the wrong details, BUT don't worry, we can just charge that cost onto the customer instead". That has to be the only way they justified adding an upfront $40 cost to it. To make up for potential lost revenue.
I understand if they wanted to make their characters ugly intentionally but they didn't go far enough. Now they're just sort of boring and generic looking beer belly grandmas wearing janitor clothes. Compare to say the game Anger Foot where the main character is so ugly that it turns around and makes him look appealing again.

Characters not having ultimates is the big downside for me, I got bored playing the game after only 2 matches due to this. Only 2 abilities per character, barely gives them a chance to be unique/have their own identity.

lol unstable, I played with a group of friends all weekend and no one crashed a single time. Not even the people with shitty builds. Hell, the reddit has no one complaining about crashes.
This was the most stable beta I've seen from a game. Complaining about subjective things like art and characters is whatever, but why lie. They even patched it twice over the weekend to fix dual monitor bugs that didn't even break the game.

Regarding them needing to take some criticism and make some changes, it's not going to happen. The game is too close to release to make major gameplay or progression changes. That's just the nature of AAA game development. Does anyone remember the Suicide Squad delays and how a bunch of people thought they would result in major changes from the betas? Yeah, the changes didn't happen then either and those were two major delays that were a year and six months long.
I mean people have major problems with overwatch 2 so if this fit that hole better it would for sure have spot for people that wanted something close to overwatch 1

You’re the first person i’ve seen make the same comparison I did lmao. However, I enjoyed the game due to that very reason. Destiny PvP is dope, but this skips the process of having to grind for builds/gear. The biggest issue is the fact that it’s $40 😂 This def feels like a free to play & there are def f2p’s that have way more content. Unfortunately, this game may have the same fate as Onrush~
I would legit pay money to play Destiny 2 Forsaken Launch PVP again. That meta and player population was absolutely awesome. The guns were fine with not a lot of cheese, abilities were not over the top, and they were way less spam oriented. Destiny PvP has continued to get worse from that point.

I got a beta code invite, played a few matches Saturday and then a bunch on Sunday and everything just felt… generic. Like buying knock off GI Joes from the grocery store aisle as a kid in the 80’s. The characters are clear rip-off’s of Marvel (both MCU and comics) and Overwatch characters. The maps have no soul, the gunplay is just a copy of Destiny and Overwatch, the game modes are the standard types of FPS modes we’ve been playing since Halo 2 and Battlefield. Everything feels like a cheap clone that you KNOW is done better elsewhere. All those “elsewhere” places are free or close to free, so why should I pay for a knock off experience?
I have lived in Japan for over a year now, I am Cuban and no has been no racism or discrimination. Everyone is very kind and loves to include me and share there culture with me, like inviting me for family dinners, car rides, trips etc. a level of hospitality I did not experience in America. Also I live in rural mountain side Japan, very country.
Also there is a Mexican guy in my neighborhood who who has been here for 3 years and local yakuza even took him out for drinks and drifted in cars. I live in Gunma where initial D takes place
I'm Southeast Asian that lived in Japan for three years and yeah, rural Japan where I was at least was extremely welcoming and kind. Came back a couple months ago to the US and I already miss it. Can't wait to stay there again and say hi to my friends back home.

Concord seems to be a competently made hero shooter. The problem for me is A) why pay for a new one if I already own Apex Legends or OW 2 and B) what does Concord have that the other game(s) I'm playing do not?
There doesn't seem to be any unique draw and that also means I have no reason to justify the pricetag to myself.
... It also doesn't help that Overwatch has a very extensive and diverse roster where each character is likeable while this game seems to be proud of the fact that there might be all of 5 people worldwide that would actively seek out Rule 34 content for its roster and not regret it immediately.
Graphics and visuals may not be everything, but they also aren't nothing.

my main complain besides the really poor UI design is the super duper uber fast movement.
it is so fast you barely see the environment and the enemy before bullet hose them down.

Charging for a free to play game in an over saturated genre was always going to make it an uphill battle. But having uninspiring characters and poor map design when they're the life blood of these games was just the nail in the coffin. The politics may be the talking point for many, but really was just the dirt on top. If the game had been quality that could have been overlooked.
Servers turned off today. All owners offered refunds. No longer sold or supported. The biggest failure I've ever known in gaming.
