    Ice cream and cheese sounds like an excellent combination! Sisal looks like a beautiful little town with some great street art. We enjoyed the bit of Heineken history and it's connection to Sisal. Looked like a perfect day for a cold beer 🍻.

      It doesn’t surprise us that you two would be up for trying the cheese ice cream. Yes, it was a hot one but a beautiful town to enjoy (& enjoy a cerveza)

    Always enjoy a good beach day. Love all the little towns you introduce to us. I would imagine it would be a lot busier if not for Mother's Day. Rachel......especially enjoyed your 'jellyfish' imitation in front of the wall, lol.

      @RickRackTravels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Debbie, yes I suspect if it hadn’t been Mother’s Day we could have taken a boat tour or even hired a moto taxi to take us around. The town was super quiet but also peaceful and beautiful. Haha yes I must have been a jellyfish in another life 🤣

    Great video and also a little funny how your face looked when you finally found the museum. I also like how you have started to incorporate different audio with the video, looking good. Keep them coming.

    Gina is a big fan of jamaica - AND - horchata as well as cheese (so yes to the cheese ice cream). Sisal looks very lovely. That is one NICE clean beach. Thank you for the tour.

    I loved this video. ❤️ I'm sitting at the famous Kawartha Dairy having a Gold Medal Ribbon ice cream in a waffle cone watching you eat yours! Ha...think I like mine better lol.
    The beach ⛱️ looks amazing and sparkling ✨️ clean!

    The beach is so quiet, not many people at all. I had no idea that places closed down for Mother's Day, glad you had a nice day despite things not being open. I would like to live in PM and that area, can't stand humidity, so I love your videos!

    • @RickRackTravels
      @RickRackTravels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Debbie, Yes we also had no idea that things would be closed for Mother’s Day (live & learn). I must say it is very humid in this area especially in the summer BUT there is always the nicest, refreshing breeze at the beach ! Thanks so much for watching & your encouraging comment

    How far from puerto Morelos is Sisal? Hours drive? Would you recommend to spend the night there or make it a day trip ? I really enjoy the information you give us on your visits to other towns and beaches. Every year my husband and myself stay at El CID in puerto Morelos. We really enjoy it!

    • @RickRackTravels
      @RickRackTravels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Margie ! That’s great you visit PM every year and love it. Sisal is a bit far for a day trip from Puerto Morelos (5 hour drive one way) We were day tripping from Churburna. Sisal is a lovely town (if you enjoy very quiet beach towns) and I personally would love to go back again but stay overnight. Thanks so much for watching

    the henequen plant was the source for making the best rope available in the era before petrochemicals took over. .In the era of henequen it was known as green gold as it made vast fortunes that built the colonial city of Merida. The historical center of Merida dares back to 18th and 19th centuries when the city was most prosperous during the green gold era.

      Hi Traveling Squirrel (love the name!) If we remember correctly, we believe it was $150 pesos. (It may be less a little further along the beach- we were right at the pier)
