    Great video
    Was this filmed recently, we are in Tulum for 8 days and the beaches are horrible because of the sargassum, is there any there?
    We are willing to take a trip

    • @RickRackTravels
      @RickRackTravels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aw I’m sorry to hear about the sargassum. Yes it was only filmed earlier in the week, and not a drop of sargassum. The water is gorgeous- definitely recommend!!

    How lucky you were to catch a Mexican fun fair - we love these! The octopus-stuffed chile at El Chile Gordo looked especially good and you even had a resident dog and cat at Restaurant La Negrita - perfect! El Cuyo looks like a lovely little town!

    • @RickRackTravels
      @RickRackTravels  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The fun fair was great !! They even let adults fish for ducks lol 😂. Yes LOVED everything about el Cuyo including the amazing food.

    Enjoy it while it lasts. With all the vlogging and Instagramers it too will fall victim. I watched isla mujeres, Tulum and Bacalar get over developed and become tourist traps . The Yucatán is such a very special place ❤️

    • @RickRackTravels
      @RickRackTravels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes 🙌 agree the Yucatan is a special place. I was reading in the Yucatan times that they will be building boutique hotels there next year. Changes happening already

    If I can ask , what's the track/song/artist from 11:40 to end of video? Incredible video , El Cuyo looks wonderful.

    • @RickRackTravels
      @RickRackTravels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is ‘Atlantis’, Vens Adams. We just love that track.
      You can find it here: uppbeat.io?referral=raquel-hpq7g
      And yes, El Cuyo is a magical place - thanks so much for watching.

    Not to dwell on the negative but did you guys hear about the crocodile ocean attack in PV in June? Are there ever crocodiles in the ocean there?

    • @RickRackTravels
      @RickRackTravels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lezlie, Yes, we did read about that incident in PV. Very sad. I have never personally seen a crocodile in the ocean (and hope never to) And if it happens I would imagine a very rare occurrence. In next weeks video we show a lagoon in el cuyo that has crocodiles 🐊 I think they just stay in that area and our guide told us they mostly come out and feed at night

    • @lezlieoconnor3495
      @lezlieoconnor3495 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yikes. Do you see them in the cenotes? We are coming in 2 months. Just trying to know all the ins and outs. Thanks for replying.

    • @RickRackTravels
      @RickRackTravels  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We have only seen one crocodile in a Cenote and that was near Tulum and it was called ‘Casa Cenote’ . I believe they called the crocodile ‘Poncho’ lol. I really didn’t enjoy my time there (too scary for me) but it was brackish (salt) water. Most cenotes are fresh water and no crocs - do not worry 😊
