My late father played the original FF7 when I was little. He made a preorder for the remake before he passed a couple of months ago. Now it sits in our living room beside the ps4 yet to be opened. Should I play it? I know for every scene the remake would show it would bring me back to the time I sat on my dad's lap as I cheer him whenever he beats a boss. Now my own little one has been asking why I haven't played this one.
Sorry for your loss. I think you should play it in honour of the good times you had together. Make new memories with your kid while remembering your fond past. Take care out there and best of luck for the future!

I would play it. Think of the game as a gift from your father... to be passed down to you and your little one. It is a shame the three of you can't play it together but the present is a gift. I imagine your dad would be in the room in spirit enjoying it with you two.

I can't understand why, but Tifa's Theme brings so much emotions and feelings. It sounds so nostalgic, it sounds like home. It feel like this theme can guide anyone through hard moments. Perfect for Tifa

Part of it is borrowed from Chopin, or at least that's the inspiration. My favorite song from ff7 by far.

17 years ago, my brother played the original ff7 in our bedroom for the first time after he borrow it from one of his friend. It's the game he likes most since then. When he came back from school, he would play it till late every night while I sitting there next to him. I can still remember how exited and happy we was back in those days.
I lost my brother 10 years ago.
I still have the ps1 that we used to play together, but I don't have the game, even after I searching for years. When I heard this cover for the first time, it brougth me back to those day, back to that bedroom, sitting next to my brother's side.
I cried, I cried like a little kid. Thanks for your beautiful cover. And now it's time to finish this game by my self.

@@timothyxxxpaul 8 is always underrated. It was amazing. It also has the best summons in the whole series when averaged out. Eden was a bit of a letdown, but Diablos, Bahamut, Alexander... so good.

I think this song represents Tifa's character, and role so much. It reflects "hopeful love", not once did Tifa hinder Cloud in everything that he did and went through all in the hope that somehow her efforts and her presence helps Cloud find what he wants, and needs to find. Awesome job well done with the music 👌

That moment happened to me after the first bombing mission when you walk up to Seventh Heaven. Tifa and Marlene are just sitting outside on the steps waiting for everyone to return and then you finally see Tifa and Cloud on the same screen again - hit me hard
@@AoDAzrael Oh yeah the bombing run gave me pretty much the same too. I guess, its a montage of nostalgic moments for me when it comes to this game. That's why this game is so special to a lot of us.
same here, its like music is some kind of time machine that i remember every detail of memory on those days i played the game. on some occasions even the smell of the surroundings i was in... music is so powerful in this sense, now i add the game with same effect
Yeah, the weirdest thing is that most of the characters are pretty close to how I expected them to be like - after 23 years and a hugely expanded Midgar I would've expected more differences in how they behave and think.
Even Barret - at first he was a bit over the top to me but then I realized he was like this in the original, too. The voice acting just brings it to life in a way that's jarring until you become familiar with it.

I’ve never played the game, I’ve only seen gameplay here and there but when my brother got the ps4 theme I immediately fell in love and this song brought me to tears. It made me feel like I was going back to my hometown, a nostalgic feeling. I’m happy to have found this song ☺️

Damn, every time I hear Tifa's and Aerith's theme, it brings back such a good memories back then at my high school. Those themes were played by our high school orchestra. That was about 6 years ago.

I'm very happy for the pianist that she's now getting the increased attention and visibility. It's very well deserved.
These songs are each equally beautiful. And she played each of them with equal skill. The difference? The outfit. I get that this is a cosplay and a very well executed one at that. I played the Final Fantasy series of games, because they are great games. But there was something else -- they represented a better reality. An escape from all that was wrong with this Earth.
The prevailing theme throughout the Final Fantasy series of games is The Gaia Hypothesis. Knowing that we are all connected and that a better world is possible.
I love that she's getting this increased level of attention. But it's not entirely for all the right reasons. I call upon all those who love the Final Fantasy games to help be the change that you wish to see in the world. Each of you are the heroes of your story.

I was so enamored with your marvelous playing of Tifa's and Aerith's themes that I just had to pull out the DVD of FFVII: Advent Children and watch it again. Hadn't watched it in years, and it was very enjoyable. The music is fantastic with some incredible Choral parts.
