so funny that you did this review. I just bought a 2003 Toyota Camry with 130,000 miles on it. We paid $3200 and it drives perfectly and I am so happy. It does burn a little oil, but I just, check on it every time I fill up. Thank you for all of your reviews. You are one of my favorite TH-camrs.
Our Camry was an 08 and I traded it in on a Ford Edge in 2018---Worse thing I ever did..My wife wanted the Ford Edge--I thought we should keep the Camry..The Ford was junk and I soon got rid of it..She now has a CRV and is happy---I MISS THAT CAMRY
@@MyViewToronto when I think 20 years ago, I think about the 90’s… then realize no, 2004 was 20 years ago… getting old is weird. And what’s up with having to pee 3 times a night like wtf is up with that?
We have a 2002 Camry, 163K miles. The only thing that went bad was the starter. I've putbon aftermarket parts (engine mounts, struts, lowrr control arms). It runs well and mostly sits in the garage next to the '21 Highlander.
I got 23 years old Corolla that has 65K original miles. I replaced shocks belt adjustment brakes and original tires. I don't have money to buy a new one.
I inherited my mothers 94 Camry 3 yrs ago with 145,000 miles on it,I plan on keeping it forever,it now has 158,000 miles, with one timing belt replaced before failure
The way things are now with cars and trucks I would generally feel more confident in a 20 year old Camry, Corolla, Accord, Crown Vic, or F-150 than most brand new cars.
2004 Avalon. 130,000 miles. Original alternator, starter too. No rust. The best car on the market . . . the one you keep maintained . . . and you don't have to buy another.
Took my mom to buy a 2004 Camry as it was her first New Car in her life, she LOVED it. My brother now has it and over 285k miles! DOES NOT BURN OIL! Just put new struts on it and it RIDES LIKE NEW!🤣
I have a 95 DeVille and I love it. I never get to drive it because my husband has decided it’s now his daily driver for the hour back and forth of highway he has to drive to go drive a B train truck all day. I love it because I don’t want anything small between me and anything else on the road after almost being ended by an impaired driver. Give me American Metal ANY DAMN DAY.♥️
you can get great front seats at the junk yard. A very common car. Wreck a part --- I got like new leather seat that was totaled but perfect inside. I think the junk yard was its first nights outside...anyway--loved my 04 Camry until rear end and totaled. but got a 09 Camry 38K miles from insurance with $$ to spare. ---thank you scotty!!
Scotty I boought a 2009 Scion xB with 180k on a 2.4 that burned a qt in 500mi. I did the magic engine flush with with a popular solvent over two days while manually rotating it 4 rev every 4 hours. Blew out all the carbon and after that it was only burning a qt in 2500mi. No lie. I was amazed.
But a good thing about buying a used car in NH is if the inspection and emissions are for that current year Then most likely the car is road worthy..you have to get an inspection every year! And rusted cars or cars that don’t have working safety features fail! And those will be sold as is wholesale. Also if the cars repairs are close to value of car it won’t get a sticker for that year…until fixed or garage says it’s not worth fixing
My '04 Accord 2.4 just turned 100k miles. I've driven 3400 miles since my last oil change. When I checked the level earlier today the oil was still amber and full.
I replaced the motor on my '04 Camry at 427k and that's only because I didn't change the oil very often. Now I'm at 509k and the new-to-me motor gets its oil changed on a regular basis. The only issue with these motors that can come up on some of the 2AZFe's before 2007 is the head bolts stripping out between cylinders one and two
I had 2003 Camry SE since 2005 19 years! head gasket finally went last month. Picked up a 2018 Kia Optima EX 71,000 18 days later it had burned 2.5 quarts of oil 😳 took it back to the dealership and got a 2018 Camry XLE hybrid 69,000 miles today it won’t last 19 years like the 2003 did but I’ll get alot of miles out of it.
I have 2004 Highlander, runs great and does not burn any oil, only problem is vsc light keeps coming on. The code says it’s the gas cap but the gas cap is fine🧐🤦♂️
We still have our brand-new at the time, 😂 cars that we bought off the dealer, a 2002 Saturn L100 don't laugh, it's the best and most dependable car I have ever owned it has 10600 miles and the 2004 Camry with 119,000 miles. We'll drive them until they die. About the Camry, we got record highway mileage driving it a long-distance Driving through the Arizona and California deserts with the AC running full blast We achieved 37 MPG on the20 year old Camry on the highway. Our previous record was 35 MPG with the same car.
Unfortunately NH has smartened up…unless you have a lease or mail in the state they won’t transfer your license over. And if you don’t have a NH license and no mail then they won’t transfer license. And can’t reg without NH license. They’ll give u a transit plate for $10 to drive the car to your licensed state And now they send your hard copy license to an address can’t be a P.O. Box or hotel… Now you can stay in homeless shelter for few days and get a staff to write a letter to dmv and get the license sent there but can’t reg a car under shelter address..
I bought my sister's 2005 le with the 2az-fe for 2 grand. Garage kept, one owner. Cream puff. 153k miles. I slapped some 16 inch Wheels on er with snazzier looking hubcaps. Handles better now.
I got a 2008 kia sportage w 194K. Still running good.. had to put new brakes n pads, thermostat radiator and upper n lower hoses. Still running strong n of course keeping up on the oil changes. Every 5K
The 2002-2006 Camry's were very well-built. Some say this was the last good generation of Camry before 2018. Toyota's quality slipped when they redesigned for 2007. I like generation better
RIP, RIP, my son is injured,,,, DON'T BUY A Yawn-die, RIP,,, I QUIT,,, I'm buying these cars,,,,,Every major car manufacturer is closing down,,,yada, yada, yada.
I’ve got a 2003 Camry with the 2.4. Looks great and runs great but the frame has rotted, rear trailing arms have separated from the rear axle twice. Still like the car but there’s a trust issue now.
Ho guardato questo video al lavoro e ora i miei colleghi pensano che io stia ridendo a crepapelle. Un ottimo modo per migliorare l'atmosfera in ufficio💕
I recently picked up a 2006 Camry with only 133k on it. Very solid car where you can easily do most maintenance items in your driveway for minimal cost.
I dated a girl who’s dad had one it was a 03 Camry and her drove it from New Hampshire to Rhodes island twice a week for many years and he had 300k on it and it ran fine. It was slow as heck but who cares its a 4 door?
Help Scotty! I just had an accident and need to replace the bumper on my 07 Camry! Is it safe to do my own body repair? As long as the frame is okay, there's nothing I could to compromise the structural integrity of the front end by doing my own work right?
Got my '90 Honda Accord in '05 with 172K for $1000; put a new reverse gear in the automatic trans for $230, and with 235K it's still kicking today! The salt is starting to show it's effects though, and even the junk/recycle yards don't have the parts anymore!!? She was a southern CA car to start so the salt wasn't a problem early in her life. These new cars are junk to start with, so used they are not going to be much; it's going to be difficult to stay mobile cheaply in the future!!!
Sienna or Highlander. Small two kid family the Highlander is best but you have a bunch of kids to take to after school games then a old 2010-2017 sienna well built tech because anything newer newer built after the pandemic ain’t right anymore. Older 2010-2017 Highlander is best for rugged terrains but bunch of people to pack in a vehicle than a sienna is good but won’t hold up not good for camping trips. Whatever lifestyle you have those are the options.
I’m mad as hell Just bought a brand new 2024 Highlander and the check engine light came on at 1600 miles saying P0775 pressure control solenoid B is stuck off dealer said I might need a new transmission! I’m so mad! I don’t want a replacement transmission that will take months to come in!!!! I want a different car! Dealership says it needs to get fixed it’s the only option!
@@Tardisius I think he's more irritated by the headache of a brand new car that potentially needs a transmission replacement or some other type of repair at only 1600 miles in. I would assume the dealer would give him a loaner car or pay for a rental for the duration that his car is in the shop.
Speak to your consumer affairs, I do not know the laws in your country/state but sounds like you should get a brand new replacement. I would not settle for anything less.
Hi Scotty, I have a Mitsubishi Montero/Shogun which when driving randomly just cuts out. When it does cut out I put it in park and it will start no problem for a while even a day after then it will happen again, same again into park and starts straight away any idea as it is driving me nuts..Thanks
I owned a 2009 Camry with the oil ring problem. Used 1 qt/wk. i added 1 can of Automotive Products Engine Restorer and Lubricant and it never used oil again. I added a new can every 2nd oil change.
where I am you have emissions testing up to 25 years old . but if its over 20 years old you can have 1 monitor marked as INC and no pending or check engine code and you will still pass.
Just check your old tires for inner or outer wear or some cupping. If they look good and the car goes down the road without pulling in one direction or another ; I wouldn't waste my money.
Ford doesn't make great midsize cars. Edge, Explorer, Expedition aren't great. The heavier trucks or the smaller vehicles (maverick and escape hybrids) are vert good.

Advice is inconsistent. Suppose it depends on the year of the car. Cars have good and bad years.
2003. accord 421k. driving every day
Who would have guessed, a Toyota Camry...lol
I got a 2008 kia sportage w 194K. Still running good.. had to put new brakes n pads, thermostat radiator and upper n lower hoses. Still running strong n of course keeping up on the oil changes. Every 5K
Had an 09 Sportage (5 spd) and was extremely reliable. Sadly, the Rust monster got a hold of it
The 2002-2006 Camry's were very well-built. Some say this was the last good generation of Camry before 2018. Toyota's quality slipped when they redesigned for 2007. I like generation better
Scotty.. that 2004 Camry with a V6 would be the sister of your wife’s Lexus.. I know because I owned one for 8 years..
Good DEAL!
I still like the Honda
well what is it? I don't have all day
Another enjoyable video, Scotty!
I'm sorry, Scotty, but that's not a 2005 Buick Lacrosse with the 3.8l!
Not an endless money pit?wow impressive
We all listen to Scotty, but "Best" is subjective.
uhu that's will be my next car thx Scotty
One of these days Scotty is actually going to buy a car and we will all be 'wait, what???'.
RIP, RIP, my son is injured,,,, DON'T BUY A Yawn-die, RIP,,, I QUIT,,, I'm buying these cars,,,,,Every major car manufacturer is closing down,,,yada, yada, yada.
My 2001 Echo is definitely not rust proof, it is disintegrating before my eyes :(
DOES Scotty do car topics about cars from 1980-1999? What are the best used vans, class B ,class A, class C from those eras.?
Thanks Scotty 🙏⛽💨
What is the best car to buy with no technology? Ppl keep asking me. I don't know when they started putting that stuff in cars.
Rest in peace Scotty 😢😢😢
??????
Yeah bro RIP, so sad
Toyota Celica...
A new Camry is almost 50k Scotty!
Tomorrow's video: These are the 3 best used car brands (and Toyoya isn't one of them)
This is a beautiful car for sure!
Camries last for ever! 356,000 miles still going strong! 😊
I thought you lived in TN?
2004 Camry are literally made of gold
It's got to be a Volkswagen.
I recently picked up a 2006 Camry with only 133k on it. Very solid car where you can easily do most maintenance items in your driveway for minimal cost.
RIP new Toyotas.
2003 sienna I love that minivan
Always enjoy your content Scotty can't wait to see your next video and I'm just now watching this one
I dated a girl who’s dad had one it was a 03 Camry and her drove it from New Hampshire to Rhodes island twice a week for many years and he had 300k on it and it ran fine. It was slow as heck but who cares its a 4 door?
2014 camry with 130k runs like a top, never had to repair anything. It will probably outlast me.
Start a used car dealership Scotty
And to nobody’s surprise it’s a Toyota😂
Help Scotty! I just had an accident and need to replace the bumper on my 07 Camry! Is it safe to do my own body repair?
As long as the frame is okay, there's nothing I could to compromise the structural integrity of the front end by doing my own work right?
Got my 04 civic at 125,000 miles for $2500 5 years ago it has 180k miles now and needed a head gasket and new brakes but she’s ready to keep going now
Got my '90 Honda Accord in '05 with 172K for $1000; put a new reverse gear in the automatic trans for $230, and with 235K it's still kicking today!
Scotty I am sure will open Pre owned toyota cars soon!
The Lexus E300 is similar to that Camry because it was based on the Camry - the Lexus version of the Camry
Thought he was going to show a bicycle. 😂
What’s the best Toyota van to buy?
Sienna or Highlander. Small two kid family the Highlander is best but you have a bunch of kids to take to after school games then a old 2010-2017 sienna well built tech because anything newer newer built after the pandemic ain’t right anymore. Older 2010-2017 Highlander is best for rugged terrains but bunch of people to pack in a vehicle than a sienna is good but won’t hold up not good for camping trips. Whatever lifestyle you have those are the options.
Sienna. It's the only van they have but extremely reliable.
@@AndrewFaust-x1e my recommendation is a older model Highlander.
Hijet van from Diahatsu (budget division of Toyota) .
@@EdwardLuigi Yes they're great but the Highlander is not a van, it is an SUV.
Did U buy it without a Warranty?
@@Tardisius legit curious too...
Lemon law ?
Who thinks Scotty will NEVER buy another car?
I owned a 2009 Camry with the oil ring problem. Used 1 qt/wk. i added 1 can of Automotive Products Engine Restorer and Lubricant and it never used oil again. I added a new can every 2nd oil change.
i want a Toyota Celica but none available to those storing it in your garage give me one :(
where I am you have emissions testing up to 25 years old . but if its over 20 years old you can have 1 monitor marked as INC and no pending or check engine code and you will still pass.
Hey Scotty ; Can you order the old rings that don't where out and put them in those same size newer cars ? Will they fit ?
Had a few of the old ones, they ran forever, routine maintenance only!
They said I need a wheel alignment when I change over to winter tires, I'm driving a 2018 camry se
Is this necessary
Just check your old tires for inner or outer wear or some cupping. If they look good and the car goes down the road without pulling in one direction or another ; I wouldn't waste my money.
If your car drived straight before winter tires and still goes straight after, do not.
They re just trying to rip you off
You not buying anything
Bout time Scotty needs a wingman!! 💯
2:24 RWU stands for Roger Williams University, a top-ranked university in Rhode Island
My wife wrecked her 2004 Camry back in 2008
I had an 02 Tacoma loved that truck2018 my frame rusted out it was my 3rd Tacoma 170 ,000 pissed at Toyota!
Ford doesn't make great midsize cars. Edge, Explorer, Expedition aren't great. The heavier trucks or the smaller vehicles (maverick and escape hybrids) are vert good.
