    I remember driving 3,000 miles from one end of U.S. to another and while passing through South Dakota and Montana (2:40 AM) - this song came on, while doing 75 mph on 80.
    The only light that shined was the full Moon, stars and my head lights. If anyone has driven on I-90 through SD or MT, at night... you know how dark it gets out there!
    But that moment was special for me. Just cruising alone, with God-like snowy Mountains beside me, as I drove. The song made me feel scared but more like an "excited fear" but also a very majestic fear, as if I am bowing down to this Earth.This Universe. Now because of that, I have an emotional-connection to this seven minute song 🥰

    A few years ago, I tried to listen to Boards of Canada and didn't like it. Now, I come back here and I truly love it unconditionally. I guess my ears weren't ready for it yet.

    I've been searching for this sound, attempting to fabricate what that perfection would sound like. God, I'm so high right now, and its perfectly accompanied by this, like a morning coffee with a hint of hazelnut and vanilla. Whoever comes across this, you're an extraordinary person, you are worthy, and you are so deeply loved by forces that you cannot even comprehend. Time is not of the essence, you will achieve your souls purpose.

    few Brian Eno's songs like "Brian Eno Invisible" (the first result) and a real masterpiece "Just another day"
    few other songs of Boards of Canada like "Echus", "Olson" or "Left drive side"
    and then something totally different from the '70s, but maybe one of the most romantic beautiful songs ever written: Jorma Kaukonen - Genesis (live and studio versions are both beautiful)

    This track, mostly the beginning, always remind me when during in a snowy afternoon, there was a white german Shepherd following me in the distance on a trail, there was only fields and woods, nowhere to get safe. I didn't know if I should run or keep calm, I kept walking calmly and when the dog was close, he turned out to be friendly. I petted him and called someone to come pick us up, then the owner came a few days later to get him home and thanked us for keeping him safe in our house, lovely encounter and memory...

      You're not alone in this feeling. I think that everyone has experienced something like this and deals with it in their own way. No matter how insignificant we all are compared to the seemingly endless expanse of the universe, there's always meaning to be found in our lives. Some examples that come to mind: creating something beautiful/useful, building healthy and supportive relationships with awesome people, meeting new interesting people, learning something exciting, getting through challenges and hardships, growing as a person, recognising the beautiful chaotic complexity of the universe, discovering order in parts of the chaos, being present.
      If it's any consolation, no matter how small you feel, you still mean the world to the people who love you.

    If i could press a button that would fix everything for everyone, but i would disappear, i know what my answer would be. But nothing would change. Be the things you want there to be, be happy, and be ready for the pain. Never look back with regret it ruins the effort you put into getting here. Remember what matters even if there's not much. Teach and be taught until death. And never think you dont deserve happiness. I love you all, and even though we'll never meet, i hope you're better off after this. Thank you for trying. Please keep going

    • @tcj226
      @tcj226 6 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      No. There were two Boeing 757s and two Boeing 767s involved in the 9/11 attacks. The 747 is completely different, much larger plane all together that has a large hump on the top toward the front.

    • @titaniumcassowary
      @titaniumcassowary 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Half right. It is a type of aircraft, but none were used in he September 11th attacks. Two Boeing 767s, smaller planes, hit WTC 1 and 2. A Boeing 757, a little smaller still, hit the Pentagon. However, it could be a flight, of course. Any 2-4 digit number can be a flight.

    • @TheWinterShadow
      @TheWinterShadow 7 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Talent has nothing to do with it. Its a spiritual connection to nature. People like Beyonce and Adele have talent but lack a spiritual connection to nature."Talent" is a word pushed by the music industry to sucker people in to something that has a lesser connection to sell. It doesn't apply here. And we don't need more of this...that's what makes 'this' special. Very special.

    • @ramyaccad263
      @ramyaccad263 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Maybe you should open your dictionary. Talent is "the possession of natural aptitude or skill by people". Beyonce and Adele are indeed talented just like Boards of Canada. Who are you to talk about "spiritual connection to nature"? Other people listening to Adele or Beyonce might find a similar spiritual connection to nature. I personally think Beyonce's and Adele's music is shit but that's only my point of view (based on my taste). Boards of Canada are able to stimulate senses in me just like Beyonce is able to stimulate senses in someone else. No need to go all Plato on the word Talent.

    • @TheWinterShadow
      @TheWinterShadow 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ramy Accad
      Who am I? I am someone with five thumbs up from people who can relate and have taste, and you without any. That's fact, not theory, yours or mines. But I am sure Beyonce and Adele would appreciate your words. The Boards of Canada are just too cool.

      Ramy Accad Ramy Accad I listened to Beyonce's album Lemonade I really enjoyed it . At times I found it haunting and distributing while other songs I found somewhat refreshing. My point is she is a very talented artist.Do I enjoy her music more than BoC? Not quite yet. Oh and also I follow Buddha Dharma. Likeing or disliking something should never create a schism between two people.It comes off a bit narcissistic :/

    it was a pbs ident, i think in the late 1990s they had an ident with a person (usually a woman) holding a pbs logo.
    the background vocals sampled it, but they pitched, slowed, and eq'd it.
