@@rankingacademy Hey Luc just had a quick question. You mentioned for the store hours on the GMB profile that having it set for open 24hours greatly impacts your ranking. Is this still true? If you’re not open 24hours a day but want to appear in the map pack more, that you need to switch to 24 hours?
Great video, straight to the point with expert tips! I have a question, if you were to try and rank a business that offers a wide range of services is it sometimes better to split this into multiple google listings? E.g. a Medical Clinic that offers dental services, psychology, acupuncture and much more!

For example, My categories are: Photographer, Portrait Studio, Photography Studio, Photography Service, Arial Photographer, Commercial Photographer. Should I add pre-populated Services that are also listed as a Categories? Thanks, your Google Business Profile videos are fantastic.

Great video, as always. However, I have a question about updates (or posts) on GBP. For example, if I am a dentist, and I publish something (on GBP) that talks about dental implants... there is clear evidence that there is an advantage in putting the "Find out more" button - with a link to a page that talks about dental implants - rather than the "Call now" button to make a phone call?
I would say so but you might want to test your theory as it is likely to vary widely from business to business. I personally would want a lot more information about the dentist himself and his work if I was considering a dental implant.
Have just watched your videos for the last 4 hours- incredible!! thank you for sharing your valuable insights! I've had a GBP question for years now, so I have to ask. For home businesses that choose the "hide address" option and just do a service area, is it better to keep this option or put in "something" in the address field- like use city name for street address? I've seen a few listings do this, but always wondered if it was ok. Also, for the pre-selected services- should we delete the ones that aren't a perfect match for our business? Or is more better, no matter how they match up?
Many thanks Jessica. If customers visit you at your home address you should add your address to your listing and make sure you have clear outside signage outside your home. If you visit customers at their home you shouldn't show your address and instead specify a service area. Regarding services, google will add services automatically to your listing based on information it can find online. Remove the ones you feel are not relevant.
Bravo. And thank you for encouraging. Thant's what I was thinking. I think it's better to get a new dba with your current business name and add forward slash and category name. To be save.
Great video thankyou! What are your thoughts on custom categories in the Services section of GMB? Do you recommend adding keywords that you want to rank for as service options? I.e "real estate agent bondi" "real estate agent coogee" etc
I'm assuming your are talking about custom services here. "Real estate agent" is a service, "Real Estate agent Bondi" isn't so I wouldn't. Plus if you're not located in these areas you simply won't rank anyway.
Thanks for the video! Question though, where do you find the grid-like rankings like the one shown in 3:58? I think this would be really helpful for me

I have an Orthodontic client and he wanted to include services area pages nearby location but have only one PHYSICAL location . but I check the competitors and none of them have services area pages. what do you recommend add a services area page? or if I don't add will it affect SEO.
Build location pages for the city you want to attract customers from. Please bear in mind that to do well in other cities, the services your client offers need to be really special or better than what's already there. Even if your orthodontist's website pops up first in search results for another city, if there are plenty of other orthodontists closer by and people have to drive an extra hour to see him, they might not bother, no matter how good your page is. When it comes to medical stuff, showing expertise will make a big difference in getting patients to come his way.

In my limited experience.... if youre a service provider and you arent showing your address ,which in any case differes from the area you want buisness from....then youre screwed. I set upba profile a few weeks ago... stuck up a fake address thats been on my webaite for years right in the middle of london. Uaed that address when setting up profule amd popped up google maps... got quite a few clicks almost immediately. Then got a suspension... reapplied ,but this time using an actual address i use 60 miles out of london and not showing it on google map listing.... result.....absolutely fk all views. Even tho mynservice area was set to the former address entered in middle of london.

I'm thinking about changing a business name to a new name that includes "The old name - keywords (business type and location)" Is that gonna give me a penality??
Depends on how close they are to the searcher, their name, their business categories and many other factors. Reviews are only a part of what google takes in to consideration to rank businesses

I do understand competition, but don't understand what has happened, because all these years where above them everywhere. Could it be some sort of google's way to balance the competition?

Having trouble editing my profile because Google don’t approve my edit please can you do a video about that if you have a solution
I'll add your request to my list
where do you find that map that shows your ranking in all the surrounding areas?
I use a tool called brightlocal
@@rankingacademy bah, I was hoping you had found another solution.... I cancelled my brightlocal as it was quite expensive
Hi where can i download your check list?
here:rankingacademy.co.uk/google-business-profile-seo-cheat-sheet/
I've watched your videos for years. I have a question about my GMB listing. There is a short tagline below the name of my business on my GMB listing. No more than two sentences. I need to edit this short tagline because we no longer offer one of the products. However, I cannot find where to edit this. Do you or does anyone else know?
Hi Matthew. Not sure what tagline you are referring to. You should be able to log into your profile and remove it when clicking on edit profile.
@@rankingacademy I do appreciate the response. Thank you so much. You've definitely helped my business out as well. The tagline that I'm referring to shows up just below my business name on GMB. Is there any way to send you screenshot of what I'm looking at?
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Hello, sir..
Can I use 1 phone number to verify all of my Google Businesses?
For example, I have 1 restaurant with 1 call center number. Can that 1 call center number verify ownership of all my restaurant locations?
Are you given the option to verify all the restaurants via phone verification?
And that's the real problem right there. Use an address on a service area listing to your own peril
How do I find someone who’ll most do this stuff for me? I’m willing to pay but can’t really find anyone. Not interesting in leaning SEO myself. Just want to focus on what I do.
just do some research for local SEO specialists
@@rankingacademy what would one expect to pay monthly for such a service? I’ve had a hard time finding anyone.
how do I log into business accounts to manage their profiles such as answering reviews, adding images etc
You need to use the google account associated with the google business profile. If you don't have access, ask to be set up as a manager
I'm thinking about changing a business name to a new name that includes "The old name - keywords (business type and location)"
Is that gonna give me a penality??
What type of business is it?
@@rankingacademy It's a photography business
Why do you have some profiles with 0 reviews that appear above 100+ profiles? This I can’t understand 😫
Depends on how close they are to the searcher, their name, their business categories and many other factors. Reviews are only a part of what google takes in to consideration to rank businesses
I’m a MOBILE car wash, and have no store front. Yet Google keeps telling me, “your business category requires a location”. How can I sort this? Thanks
Are you sure you've selected the right type of options when setting up your listing?
@@rankingacademy hmmm, perhaps not, is it possible to change those? Or would I need to just create a new gmb page
Thank you for info
My pleasure
Hi 👋 how to get ranked if people in my country use multi-languages to search for my business ex: I use Arabic in my business title and category but people use Arabic and French and English plz reply
The only thing you can translate on your profile is your business name. See how you can do it here: th-cam.com/video/-zjAAlQYY9I/w-d-xo.html
@@rankingacademy many thnx for yr time
Does anyone have an experience with following situation: my company is ranking first in organic, maps search by the most relevant keywords, however, from this year we have lost our position Nr.1 in google maps to another company, which is below us in organic search results, they have less reviews and also the ranking is a little bit worse. I do understand competition, but don't understand what has happened, because all these years where above them everywhere. Could it be some sort of google's way to balance the competition?
It can be based on many reasons like an algorithm update, your competitor getting more backlinks to their website...Being N#1 for many years doesn't guarantee it will stay that way for ever
Being verified is number 9 on the report?
That's what it says
Keywords are not illegal in name anymore? I just watched your 2022. video and business redresall hack😂
Thank you
You're welcome
hello sir, can you help me? i make a google profile business , why do not approve with service plumbing anda servicess, profile is blocked
There could be many reasons
Plumbing service not accept applied to google Service. Right?
what if your business does not have a category listed?
Choose the closest possible one
what is the grid thing with the green dots and red dots
Did you watch the video?
@@rankingacademy Dude. Yes. Where do you show or say what the name of the grid thing with the red dots and green dots is? I'm trying to help my client, new to this, learning. Could have just said "thats the ______ website" cmon
How do you get the keyword ranking maps?
You need to use a tool that does the tracking for you. I use brightlocal or localfalcon
@@rankingacademy thank you!
How to change address without losing ranking or penalty.
If you're moving to a new address your original rankings will be lost. Your listing should start ranking for your new location unless you're a service area type of business. If this is the case I suggest you read this article: www.sterlingsky.ca/move-your-sab-without-destroying-rankings/
@@rankingacademy Thank you for your guidance. Really appreciate it.
Can you recovered your business deleted account ?
Not if it has been deleted.
CAN YOU GIVE ME THE LINK TO THE FULL LIST
It's in the description
What is the website at minute 03:52?
ahrefs
nice
Thanks
Yikes not sure I agree with advising people to nest keywords in the business name just because “I haven’t seen Google enforcing it”.
Up to you, it works though. That's why I recommend you file a DBA to be on the safer side
This is the same stuff to rank for the last 3 years
Working or not..?
