For the HST I wish I was repairable and everything but humans are more important and can't be replaced by any means. What some people said about it was a disgrace even if it was a "joke". Yeah the LNER HSTs were a sight of Devon that train spotters will never forget I managed to see them while I was watching the Beachcam cameras at Dawlish on TH-cam.

Great video, love the part between Dawlish Warren and Teignmouth (along the sea wall) as I used to visit that section when on holiday in that area (we used to go on holiday to either Dawlish, Dawlish Warren, Torquay or Paignton). This is one of my favorite routes, and it's a shame to know that I will never see a HST along that route again. Personally, I think that the HST is an excellent train, it paved the way for high speed trains in the UK, they're comfortable, they're reliable, and they don't get overcrowded easily (unlike the 4 or 5 car services that are replacing these trains). It saddens me to know that these trains and coaches are being scrapped purely because they are too old, not meeting new accessibility legislations, and that getting these units to meet the accessibility legislations would not be worth it (compared to getting new stock in, such as 800s/802s/810s). If I was the owner of a heritage railway, or any railway come to that, I'd have bought up all of the surplus trains and coaches not going to other causes (e.g. rail tours, the 125 group, etc) to avoid them being turned into scrap. Also, thank you for a fitting tribute at the start and end of the video to the Scotrail crash involving a HST. My condolences go out to all those affected by the incident in question.
Excellent video (watching it as I write my positive feedback) 🙂👍 - I see this video as having positive memories of the HST's! When I found about the terrible accident on the 12/08/20 I was in huge shock! What rail simulator is this may I ask (just incase I didn't look probably or not sure)? The interior shots of the passenger area make you feel like you're in the real thing - very smooth graphics! It wouldn't be the first time a red MTU-powered HST has appeared in the South West - I believe it was 2013, when Virgin Trains East Coast, that 1 or 2 red power cars were used to replace a failed CrossCountry (XC) power car. So really it was a quick Virgin XC comeback.
Wayne Roberts the front power car will probably be used for spares on other power cars and the rear power car will go back into service as very minor damage was caused
