I would find 6 chairs you like to keep at the table and keep your eye out for 2 accent chairs you can keep in other places in the home but bring in for the ends of the table when needed.
Yes I love this idea it’s always a great functionally idea
i loveeeeee that idea!!!!!
Or bench seating on each side and accent chairs on each end
I was thinking that too. Multi use captains chairs lol 😊
Great minds think alike. I hadn’t read any comments before I added mine then I saw yours which was the same as mine!
Florist here! 🌸👋 Those packets do help but I find people don't want to change out the water once they've used the packet. Bacteria in the water is one of the main reasons flowers wilt prematurely. So I always tell my clients instead to trim 1/4 inch off the stems and swap out for clean water every day or two. I find clean water and trimming the stems is MUCH more important to the longevity of the flowers. Hope this helps!
Is it true that if you put aspirin in the water that it’s helpful? Is that an old wives tale? 💐😃
@@tiabean1635 I've heard that has worked for some people. Crushed up aspirin lowers the pH of the water which apparently helps the stems absorb water better. Worth a shot! Definitely still swap out the water and trim stems daily if possible.
Glad you are ok! Prioritizing yourself and the baby is what is most important
I honestly didn’t notice that there wasn’t a vlog last week, so please don’t stress or worry about releasing a video; everyone will survive.
I did notice there was no video, but I just figured she was just tired and took a break. Nothing wrong with that.
Perfect way to put it ✨
Lol the unintentional read
Hey Macenna, excited to watch. I hope you are feeling OK. I can't wait to see the next kitchen episode, but take as much time and rest as you need. OMG the dining table is gorgeous! 😍
The dinning table is definitely the latest star of this show, the kitchen is going to have so much beautiful character as if it has been in a very old french chateau
Your flowers last longer if you take off the leaves and the stems below the waterline, have a great Mother’s Day and I hope this helps you with your flowers as I’m a gardener and by the way, cut on an angle each day with freshwater and you’ll have beautiful blooms. Be sure to put warm water for roses to open fully, happy Mother’s Day your friend Gerri
💐FLOWER FACTS💐
Yes, the little powder packets work, however they are mostly just sugar. You can add about a tablespoon of white sugar to your flower vase and have a similar effect. I’ve heard that adding a splash of apple cider vinegar to the sugar water can also help.
I did not know that, thanks for info!
Very cool to know. Thank you for sharing!
I've heard about adding an aspirin instead of sugar. Does anyone know if that works?
for the cheese its helpful if you cube hard cheeses and slice softer cheeses. saves space too
As you intend to use the table as an additional work surface, avoid getting chairs with very tall backs. They'll get in your way.
Our breakfast bar stools are low enough that they tuck right under out of the way
My due date was literally a day before McKennas and I’m holding my baby watching this vlog. Take it easy people! These babies take a lot out of you.
Great idea!
You should help your mom to do her own channel showing your parents new home and guest home . She has such amazing taste with art and decorating !
I believe it’s called a Trestle table. A Truss is roof support. I don’t know about a trussle ?
That table is stunning. Glad you are okay and took the time to rest. When your kid starts daycare/school, he will be bringing so many germs home that you will feel sick for about five years straight.
My son was born 3 months earlier. My water broke and I laboured for 32 hours and he was born. He was in the NICU for a while. That was in 1991 and he is now a healthy 33 years old man and every day is still an adventure with him.😀❤️🌺
I’m the mum of an early prem too (28 weeker). She’s 10.5 years old now, and you wouldn’t know she was so early. They’re little fighters, even when they get bigger!
The flowers are the color of my wedding flowers.
Oh my gosh I have the same exact story and now my son is 35 and an airline pilot! So happy he pulled through!!! 💙🦋💙
Happy First Mothers’s Day! Glad to see you back and feeling better!!!!!!
Kinsley growling like a big dog at the end just cracked me up! 😄 MaCenna, you are glowing. Sorry you were under the weather. I'm glad you are feeling better now. I currently have head and chest cold and zero energy. Ugh. I'm a busy grandma so no rest for me, but hopefully I will feel better soon too. That table is soooo gorgeous! What an amazing piece of furniture. Have a beautiful blessed night. 🙏
Macenna if you cut your Flower stems at an angle"/' they will be able to have a proper drink of water ..flat stems suffocate the flowers so they die quicker !
Those pink & red flowers behind you at the pool side are stunning. You are so blessed & lucky to have such stunning flowers & greenery.
I literally loved "finding" you on TH-cam over two years ago. You were a breath of fresh air and our taste and work ethic was very similar.
Enjoy the next chapter of your life with Romeo and your baby boy.
It's time for me to find new and exciting channels. All the very best.
Baby and yourself are top priority Macenna. Must admit you have looked stunning all through your pregnancy, not that you don’t look stunning normally 🤣 I looked like a beached whale with all of mine ❤️❤️❤️❤️
No, I don't think you did! You probably looked gorgeous too!
Oh my goodness! I vaguely remember the days when I could veg out when pregnant and sick with my first baby. I have 10 kids now and when I get sick when pregnant, I have to keep going because somebody still has to do school runs and take care of the little ones. There are no sick days for a mom of multiples, or even with one baby!😫. Husband still has to go into work. It always amazes me that somehow my body can get through it and baby remains unaffected, cozy and safe from it all in its snug little womb. But getting sick right around the due date is the worst whether it's your first or not because you have the huge daunting task ahead of giving birth and need all the strength you can get to accomplish this! It's anxiety-inducing for sure! So glad you're feeling better! Can't wait for you to be a momma❤️
Omg I've been so worried about you and where you were! So glad to see you and know you're ok ❤ Happy Mothers day to you 🌹🌹
You are so amazing. I love the involvement of family, humble, fun, and just some being a little corky. my kind of people.
Your flowers around the pool are AMAZING!
Love your table
The excitement is increasing for the baby getting
Ready to make his entrance
So happy for all of you
As a grandmother I know how both grandparents are getting ready
To hold this precious child
Bless you both you’re going to be the best
Parents
Thank goodness it was a head cold and nothing too bad! I was getting worried. I'm excited to see the kitchen done! That table is gorgeous! Don't over do it at the flea market! Stay hydrated and don't stay in the sun too long.
So, so thankful you are feeling better. You have been missed. Your table is beautiful.
You look great! Glad you're fully recovered and you and Baby Boy are well and enjoyed your Mother's Day. The flowers were beautiful and the charcuterie board looked delicious!
That table will be so perfect and look beautiful in your kitchen. I can hardly wait until Sunday's video to see cabinetry and the hood!
Kingsley at the end 🤣🤣 ohh my goodness. So happy you are feeling better. 🤗💓💕💞
She's so fierce! 🥰
So glad you’re okay! I usually just grab a bunch of flowers but after seeing you put your own bouquet together! What a beautiful personal touch. Continue to listen to your body. Don’t worry, we’re not going anywhere. 🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Happy Mother's day to you. I love the new dining room table!!
Oh gosh, getting sick in these last stages of pregnancy is rough. I remember having that same fear of "getting the baby sick" but then it was explained to me that baby gets the antibodies through the placenta. So it's actually weirdly a good thing because you're strengthening baby's immune system already! This mindset of taking time to rest is going to get you so far! I didn't have that, I kept going because I felt like so much had to still be done in our home. I regret not listening to my body at times. Keep taking time and keep enjoying these last moments ❤
Just had my baby boy on Saturday morning. I'm so excited to see your family grow. Also that table is stunning.
Dear MaCenna, I'm so pleased that you are back on top of things. Bouquet's were beautiful. Excited for the kitchen cupboards. And "the table"...oh my... spectacular. Looking forward to Thursday and Sunday. Hugs💞
YAY - I've missed you - glad you are back
finallyyyyy!!!! had to suffer for 4 hours straight in college classes dying to watch this, missed your videos so much!!❤ hope you're feeling better🫶
Missed you a lot. Keep checking back. Finally. So happy you and baby boy are okay.
Yellow roses have always been my favorite flower, those are gorgeous!! So glad you're feeling better.. you & baby boy are most important.. always!! So just the care of you & baby and video when you feel like it! We'll be right here😊 The table is stunning! As always i enjoyed the video, and as always excited for the next one!
Happy to see that you're ok. Happy belated mother's day!
She's not a mom yet.
@@NoOneHere2Day yes she is.
@@Andrea-re9np She already had the baby?
@@Andrea-re9np I would just ignore them. 😊
@@NoOneHere2Day Yet, people sort of view their pets as kids.
When I didn't see a video or anything I was wondering if you went in to early labor! 😅 Glad you're OK and feeling better; WELCOME BACK 🥰
So relieved to hear you’re ok! The table is gorgeous! And Kinsley just steals my heart every time too she’s so cute!!!
Love your makeup, technique for applying it! It’s so pretty and accents your natural beauty. Of course a happy, glowing mom to be doesn’t hurt. So happy for you and Romeo.
Omg that table is unreal!!! So beautiful and I can't wait to see everything together❤❤
Thank you for taking the time and process to make your videos visual and detailed. For example the corbels, it took me a few times of watching the video over and over to understand the design. Now I'm very excited to see them installed in the kitchen. Thank you for all the details and explaining you do in the videos, much appreciated. Enjoying your channels. ❤
So glad to see you and that everyone is fine! Missed your Boris as they are a highlight of the week!! Take care of yourself snd little man!!
Love your table and can’t wait to see what chairs you pick for your beautiful new kitchen!!!💕💕💕
Can’t wait to see your mom and all the new progress in the kitchen
So glad you are ok I checked tues/ Thursday tentatively Sunday then I was concerned I had high blood pressure end of my pregnancy got whipped into hospital! So glad to see you bouncing with health sending you lots of love x
So glad you are back and feeling yourself again, can I just say your garden flowers look amazing, love the table too❤❤
On dining tables I only buy ones that are 46 or 48 wide so I can put placemats on both sides. Short ones have no room for placemats on both sides and there isn't enough room for floral arrangements in the center.
*The Table*. I have a trestle table, made from pine and stained dark. It's on my "to do" list to refinish. She's lived many lives and served different purposes, Great Choice!
So glad to see that you are okej 🥰 i almost have the exact same table. They are very common in sweden and you can find them in a lot of secondhand stores. I love my table and when we renovated our house we just shortened the legs and made it into our livingroom table 🥰
Thank you for explaining a little of what goes into the editing. I always find your videos easy to follow but I didn’t understand why before. Glad u r taking care of yourself. Being able to prioritise yourself is harder when kids arrive do make the most of it. ❤❤
I say this with grace but I do some work in antique dealing and generally speaking (possibly different for the large furniture market) Chairish's prices are laughable & well above market pricing. I hope you got a good deal on your pieces I would just caution others to look around before using Chairish pricing as a benchmark.
Have you considered melting down the wax and reusing it for the next vessel instead of making a new unscented candle each time you have a new vessel? Just a thought on preservation of materials.
I’m so glad to see your feeling better and that u took time to for yourself to feel better. I was getting worried that maybe Bebe came early. But I was happy to see you in Instagram that u were ok and Bebe was ok too. What’s most important is that u get better and for Bebe to be 💯 and to keep cooking till his time comes.
😂 hahaha Kinsley watching the cheeseboard prep like …for me? 🐶
So glad to know you’re okay. I was worried about you! Been praying for you and the baby. 🙏🏼I know you still have a month or so to go but I’m still just soooo excited to hear about him finally arriving! 😩🤗💙 God bless
So glad everything is ok with y’all! Count down is on!! Love the table! Our table seats 12. We have 3 different sets (4) of chairs. Wood & metal. Wood ones have been painted in pairs. I went for a rustic look.
So glad you are feeling better!! The table is AMAZING!!!!
Missed you last week but I’m pleased that you and baby are all well and good and more to the point you got to rest.
I'm sooo happy to see you, really missed you ! So glad it was just a cold and nothing more serious. Can't believe little one will be here soon !!!! Rest as much as you need.
The table is stunning! Can’t wait to see the chairs! 👍
So surprised that she chose this type of a table. We had them when growing up (all village had them, sort of standard design where I grew up), and to give more seating around it there were benches of the same design... uncomfortable without back support. I would never ever buy this style, do not like it at all...never liked it... so taste is soooo different!
@@leonalii1533 Well she is not going to use benches, so I don't see how the uncomfortableness comes into play here :) You didn't actually explain why you don't like the table?
So sorry to hear that you were unwell, MaCenna, and glad you are feeling better now. That dining table is gorgeous and I love how it goes together. I look forward to seeing what chairs you choose. Take care and look after yourself and we will see you when you are ready. Love from Down Under😘💕🇦🇺.
So glad you recovered and have your energy back. You look so lovely in that peachy colored shirt. That table is beautiful! So perfect for your vision!
Waow ❤️ just waow everything can’t wait to see the result ! And so good you could rest 😍😍🥹
We have missed you Macenna❤❤
Aww, you put a great big smile on my face, love the flowers, xoxo❤
Love how you mixed and matched your Trader Joe’s flowers. I always love going to our local florist and hand picking each stem in my arrangements.
Your Tab!e is so nice love the color! The rose next to you in this video is BEAUTIFUL!! can't wait to see the cabinets, Your new kitchen is going to be a wonderful place for you and your family to make lots of memories in. Blessing to all of you!!
It’s a geranium
Can't wait to see the kitchen done! I'm screaming! More can't wait for little man to come! Come on bubba!
Post Covid health anxiety is very real, I think lots of us are feeling the way you are. Viruses which we wouldn’t have been concerned about in the past have now become a real perceived threat. Hopefully we will all eventually be able to put it all into perspective but until then we just need to accept that we have all become changed by the pandemic. You are looking really well and it’s heartening to know that the kitchen project is moving along really well. You have been so lucky with your contractors.
Your looking refreshed & relaxed I’m glad you prioritising & taking care of yourself 🥰 I’m not sure if the flowers food works or not my mum always dropped a penny in the water (something to do with the copper ) I can get 2/3 weeks out my flowers 🌺
So glad you are feeling better. Please, take care. I'm looking forward to seeing your next video. 😊
Love the table, the raw timber look is perfect, I hope the cabinets are similar.
Can’t wait for new candles. Just burned my last one and am trying to burn through my older stash from other brands. I didn’t realize this, but after having your candles, I realized that other brands’ candles give me a headache. I don’t know if it’s the strength or type of scent used in the other brands or the type of wax but I really appreciate that yours don’t cause me headaches.
Glad to see you back and feeling better. That last month can truly wear you out just from a regular low paced day.
Loving the table and it is just going to be so amazing!
Take care of yourself and things are coming together beautifully. God bless and the time is soon coming for your sweet little one. Exciting new adventures in life are ahead. Enjoy each moment!!
Ok omg you are looking great! And how gorgeous is that table!! Prayers for you and family for that delivery and CANT WAIT to see the KITCHEN!!!
Years ago a designer told my sister to get something like slipper chairs for the ends of the table. She’d use them as seating in the living room and when needed they could be pulled up to the table. Just something to think about.
So happy you are back and doing ok! What about two long benches and two chairs for the table? You’d be able to tuck the benches out of the way more which could be helpful since it’s in the middle of the kitchen.
Without realizing it, you were 'swaddling' the roses!
So glad you're ok, I was getting worried.
Missed you sweet girl but you look beautiful and are absolutely glowing!! Just take rest breaks and take it easy on your body and give yourself some grace ♥️♥️
Glad you’re feeling better! One request, can your mom film an update on her guest house? I’d love to see the progress of it. Thank you! PS LOVE the new dining table!
Everything MaCenna does is so delicate.. wrapping those flowers.. she will be the most precious momma.. this baby is so lucky ❤
So glad your feeling better really missed your vlogs..can't wait to see your kitchen.
Macenna I have a trestle dining table too! Fell in love the moment I saw the shape on those legs, that table suits you, I’m so happy you found it.
All the best girlie. Continue to get your rest and listen to your body. At least until you get closer to week 39. Activity helps induce labor. But now, soak up all the rest now to prepare your body for the real marathon that is active labor. I’m sure you are taking down time as your full time job is pretty manageable and relaxing to you so keep doing what you love but kick those feet up too.
Hi Ms M☺️
Your content is so thorough and fulfilling with each blog that you should never apologize.
I am a Registered Midwife and now is the time to take things slow and mentally prepare ❤
Gald, you are okay 👍🏾. I really missed the videos of you and your mom... You two always crack me up.... hehe
I have been looking for you everyday. So happy to see you back and beautiful! God bless!
LOVE that table! BTW, how is the top affixed to it, if at all? I worry about those things. if someone perches on the end of it, will it upend? Kinsley is THE MOST ADORABLE THING!!!
Ohhhh where you been?? Was so worried ❤
Bless your heart, I thought I had missed a video!! Don't worry about posting when you are not feeling well--you have four of you to think about--Romeo, Kensley, lil man, and you!!! You need rest and time to get ready for that precious blessing of yours!! We understand, and we are thankful to GOD all is well with you!! I know Momma cannot wait for her new grandson!! Just look at you MaCernna, a beautiful new kitchen, and a beautiful new baby boy on the way!!!

The table looks so german ❤
In Bavaria every Gasthaus had a table like this
Wow! I wanted to build a dining table similar to the Lyon dining table that I saw at pottery barn website. Today I was looking at Pinterest for more inspiration pictures and save the picture of a table similar to yours. Your table is so pretty.
BEST TIME OF THE DAY
trestle. The good thing about them is that they really look best without end chairs.
The placenta protects the baby…better you had a cold now than when the baby is a newborn. Take time to put your feet up, drink lots of water, you are a champion my dear…and you’ll be fine. ❤
So glad to see you it feels like it's been a month since I seen you. You look so good. Love, love the table.
