We usually have lunch once a month at a Mexican restaurant, and she ALWAYS orders taquitos, so I had to learn to cook them! I watched you and about three or four other people, but I relied MOST HEAVILY on YOU. OMG, the avocado salsa was amazing and so was the red savory salsa. Lunch was amazing and beautiful! She said they were the BEST taquitos that she has ever had--I had never had them, but WOW! With those two salsas, ANYTHING would be beyond delicious. This was the first that I had seen your channel, and now I'm subscribed and binging. You and Cloud are great! Nothing like having fun with your sister!

I love how Steff has gradually prepared us with the basics for now these more complex recipes. Like she has showed us how to make the queso fresco, the homemade flour tortillas, the seasoned chicken, etc, etc, all the basics before she introduced us to these delicious, devine, piece of heaven recipes. My appreciation goes out to the both of you. This channel wouldn’t be the same without Cloud as well. I love when Cloud asks questions about the specific step that Steff is on, because you can just tell they both want us to understand the recipes down to a T. Oh my goodness i made these tonight with Beef (hamburger) instead of chicken and it was delicious! Loved all the salsas and i even made the chilli oil! Girl you can throw down in that kitchen! My boys appreciate you for all these delicious meals i tell you what lol im African American but i was born and raised in California so we are not strangers to good Mexican food but it has to be good Mexican food and so far your the only person on TH-cam making authentic tasty Mexican food sis! Your kind words are like a jazz melody to my ears. I had to teach my older son how to enjoy veggies. Salsa and chips has been one of the recipes that has inspired his taste buds to try new combinations. So many salsas/ sauces to combine in Mexican cuisine. Amiga, going out to eat has always been a luxury. Not all restaurants are created equal. It's great one day and the next day the flavor in the food and experience changes. I'm an old nostalgic person. I love the old school way dinning out, where restaurants actually cared that their customers are spending their hard earned money at their establishment. Long story some what short with my child on the spectrum dinning out was more of a task and that inspired me to bring my A+ game with my family. Now they rather I cook then eat out. I have been making Mexican food for years. I learned from my grandmother in law who was from the Chichuahua mountains in Mexico and they did everything old school method. I was taught to wash with a washing board and set my whites on an alumium roof to bleach them from the sun. I learned so much from her. I had a bite from a lone star tick and thus contracted mamalian meat allergy MMA or alpha-gal allergy so I can't eat red meat at all as I am allergic to it. So I am now ovo vegetarian. I though have found that the TVP or texturized vegtable protein that was used in much of the taco meat in Mexican resturaunts to extend the meat thru my local Mexican grocery store. So this is what I now use as my meat subsitute. Thus for me to make these I would use oyster mushrooms chopped to look like shredded chicken. I have not tried the sauce with them though. So for anyone watching these videos you can make what she shows just substitute your meat if you are vegetarian like myself. Thus you still get the good Mexian flavor that is geared for your diet.
