To much of the same is overkill, while the normal old-style Amsterdam "koffiehuizen" are nearly gone by now. Our city really suffers under gentrification. These types of videos: a vlogger recommending restaurants or cafés in a city they don’t live in, always make me cringe. This is a zero effort video. She likely arrived in Amsterdam, went to the West (because it’s a fancy area), zoomed in on Google maps and realised there was a cluster of cafés located there. And so she decided to tell the world that those were the best cafés in the city. Not a single one of the truly great coffee places appears in this video but perhaps it’s lucky for us, the residents, so that our favourite coffee hang out spots may remain tourists and influencer-free.
