There is something called as overlimit fee which you missed.
Which card companies levy when you over utilize your credit limit.
Some card give facility to spend beyond your limit upto some extent.

Writting this a long discussion to SBI card team,
On using credit card against cash back offer/instant discount, they are forfeiting the earned reward points. In case of insufficient of points, there would be charges.
So use wisely on instant offer.
