What's the response time like for switching to "transparency mode"? Sony's over ear headphones have a similar feature but take just long enough to kick in to make it not worth using at all. Microphone quality sounds acceptable but the levels sound off compared to your regular mic.

I bought the AirPods Pro the day they were released and have tested them at work; as a Software Engineer working in an open floor plan, these AirPods are worth every penny I paid. I enjoy having both noise canceling and transparency modes; switch between them often when wanting to hear and converse with my mates, and when I need to focus ... turn the light chatter completely out with low to mid volume music added to noise canceling mode. Siri speaks my messages too ... pretty cool!! Cheers!

I’m a huge fan of the Powerbeats Pro and never liked Airpods because of how easily they can fall out and be lost (sometimes forever depending on when you lose them). These new features are great though! I’m just spoiled by how much more secure Powerbeats are. Hopefully they’ll put these features in Powerbeats Pro 2
No One I own the XM3 and I’m gonna compare them tomorrow and see which one to keep. I do have to say the Sony’s call quality it not even close to AirPod quality.

Omg i have the same problem with my 1st gen AirPods. The Left fits good but the right is loose and slowly fell off even when i’m walking. Nit to mention Running with AirPods without ear hook is imposible in my condotions.
I personally don’t walk in the rain. I don’t assume most people do. Without a hood or an umbrella...but I do work out and wear my AirPods in the sauna. Never had a issue with water or sweat.
Good to know that the silicone tips can be purchased for a reasonably small price at Apple Stores, even when converting to Canadian dollars. I might go pick these up then, or at least try them out in store.
Run/walk briskly on a treadmill with both AirPods installed for about 15-30 mins and see how they fare.... take it outside and see if they sit in your ears while being active (throwing frisbees, walking your dog, etc)... wear them while chewing food (e.g. cold crunchy cereal) like you normally would (when hungry), and see how they sit (or fall out)... maybe compare it with QC35 II, in terms of active noise cancellation, when travelling. Also, check audio sharing on a plane with a colleague, if possible. Finally, check if it’s somewhat comfortable when you lie down on your side in bed (with a pillow)...

I’ve been waiting for AirPods with NC for 2 years, as I was always worried about damaging my ears when cranking up music in subway or in a gym since the AirPods open design. These AirPods are PERFECT and actually very good value ( the only available Sony alternative is 229$) as they can replace ALL headphones for most people (over-ear headphones for gym/commute as well as small Bluetooth headphones) . 🙌

Dirty Asian Mafia where does it say they’ll replace them just for that? They can’t really replace just the batteries. And even if they’ll do it once within the first 3 years like the iPhone, it’s still ridiculous to be buying $250-300 headphones every few years.
