Jim, you made the comment saying that you don't know why you stand there and teach because no one is listening. I'm listening, many are listening, please don't quit! Blessings to you! Shalom
I have heard only one preacher that preaches these truths of GOD, that is Jim Brown. I look for others that might teach similitude to Jim but I have found none. Don’t care to either, Jim, you meet the needs of what I need to learn which is almost everything. Been with you for right at a year now, you have been a tremendous blessing on my life, God truly uses you to bless all of us. It gets hard, I have no friends that believe you completely, I don’t go to these pagan churches, I just feel guilty for sitting there thinking inside myself they are liars and actors. I want you to know as well as Mary and the rest of the staff how much I depend on all of you and how very blessed I am by God through your ministry.
hello, jim read your post beginning at 12:05 of the following video - th-cam.com/video/U8pyd96ajhQ/w-d-xo.htmlm5s .. btw, jim's comment afterward was directed to the post that he read immediately before yours 😉
Praise the Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ every day. In him only do we give glory and celebrate, for the hope that the elect of God have in our redemption is only through him. And I pray The Lord God forgive me, for the many years past focusing less on him and more on egg hunts, candy, and pagan Easter bunnies, which honor him not! Oh Lord, I am sorry!
First I want to state that is awesome to see others preaching against the customs of the world and not mixing them with Biblical practices. Lev 23:5-6 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S passover. 6And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. Passover is actually not the same thing as days of unleaven bread. They are TWO different appointed times (mow'ed) Stating the mo'ed of Passover is equal to the mo'ed of unleaven bread is simply not correct. As you read Exodus 12 as well, you see that the Passover is a specific appointed time. As you read Exodus 13 you see a distinction between the (mow'ed) feast of unleavend bread. This mow'ed is directly connected with coming out of from Egypt (bondage). So in closing, when the Acts refers to the days of unleavened bread, it is not referring to Passover. Passover was already observed and passed. Notice that Peter was taken during the days of unleavened bread (not before Passover) Acts 12:3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) Intending to bring forth Peter after Passover, when he captured him after Passover makes no sense. Easter is almost always AFTER Passover and in that context makes more sense, because after Easter the people would be excited about killing Peter. Shalom, Matthew
Which translators of the King James were Catholic? We know the names of the men who served as translators, so it shouldn't be any trouble to identify which ones were Roman Catholic.
Dearest Jim, The word Easter may be correct and not mis-interrepted by the KJV people. Easter is as you know Pagan! It happens on the first Sunday after the first full moon during the vernal equinox. Herod was a Pagan This is why the "Christian Easter" (Ishtar) is on different dates each year according to the moon of which they worship Ishtar / Grove. This comes from Babylon as Tammuz, Son of Nimrod and Semiramis (queen of heaven) died while hunting boar, this is the origin of Lent, Ezekiel 8:14 describes Israel weeping for Tammuz. The 7th Chapter of Jerimiah explains how Israel worshipped the queen of heaven and the making of cakes (hot cross buns)the X being the symbol for Tammuz. The first counsel of Nicaea in 325 changed the date to be aligned with that of the Pagans. So Acts was written well before that date and it was correct in assigning the pagan holiday to the pagan Israelites and Pagan Herod. Hakalah once again.. The Passover however was the 14th day of the first month in the Jewish calendar, being the same day each year. 2020 will be Wednesday April 8th. This is when we should recognise the death burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The pagan Easter is celebrated on Friday 10th April -Sunday 12th April being only 2 nights and 1 day according to Biblical days that start at evening and finish at morning. Easter is Pagan, the dates are pagan the word in Acts is correct as Herod was the one celebrating it as perhaps. Im sure you know all this just food for thought on the word used in Acts 12 and perhaps not a error??? I guess I just reaffirmed my belief that Easter as celebrated in the "church" is Pagan. No wonder why the world loves it! Love your teaching Jim you have helped me understand why I have such a hard time in this life. Its God scourging away the sin in my life and making me conform to the image of His Son. I am grateful that God put me under your teaching. Agape and Phileo to all at grace and truth.
But isn't replacing the implementation of those times in the name of Christ mocking the pagan traditions in honor for Him? I can understand how the pleasures associated with the material world can distract the intentions of christians, but I'm having a difficult time accepting why what you are insinuating so bad.
With all respect , Non of the translators were Roman Catholic . In fact in the 1974-75 new American Catholic Bible the KJV is in the index of forbidden books.... Psalm 61.
Might want to ck out Mother Teresa en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Mother_Teresa In 2017, investigative journalist Gianluigi Nuzzi, in a book titled Original Sin published accounting documents from the controversial Vatican Bank - officially known as the Institute for the Works of Religion, which revealed that the funds held in Mother Theresa's name on behalf of her charity had made her the Bank's biggest client, and amounted to billions. Had she made substantial withdrawals, the Bank would have risked default.

Jesus' Resurrection deserves, nay, demands to be celebrated. If we called it Resurrection Day, then would you feel better !?
