    which substrate should i use for bottom layer,what soil should I use for the above layer.....??

      Hi, best way is you use at first lavagravel and than you use a beginner friendly soil. A other cheap version is Akadama. Just google it for more informations.

    That scape is stunning. I want to copy it. What are the small plants you planting in the left corner? Do you mix any powder in your gravel like I've seen others? Thanks. U have a new subscriber

      +trevor payne Hi, in the left corner is use Eleocharis pusilla,Cryptocoryne parva and Cryptocoryne x willisii. I just use one Soil and dont mix anythink. Thank you very much for your praise! :)

    Great job, but i was wondering if the sand beach and the larger substract dont mix up when you clean the tank?

    Beautifulll! May i ask why you used Volcano Mineral instead of full Soil?

      Volcano Mineral is good for air in the ground. And you save soil (cost more the the Volcano Mineral)

    Amazing set up with perfect balance. Well done. Do you find that the soil piled up in the corner settles eventually and moves forward? Or do the rocks prevent that?

    That's an amazing looking scape, great job. I saw you used JBL volcano mineral as the base layer but what did you then use? I read that the volcano mineral can be used just on its own, is that true do you know and did you use the other substrate out of preference?

    Just be question ? Does the volcano rock float at all? If u didn’t use the soil?

      It's very light. That may be. I wouldn't recommend it without some soil. greetz BD

      I think PlantSoli is much better than Manado. Manado ist very light and dusty. If u can plz use Soil.

      Hello, you are absolutely right about that. But I wanted to recreate a rocky bank. And I didn't see any red plants there. Therefore the plant selection was also without red plants. Best regards. BD
