  • 28 DAYS UPDATE VIDEO • BRAZILIAN AQUASCAPE 😱 ...
► In this Video I show you how we have escaped Florian his new #90p aquarium.
For his 2020 #IAPLC entry Florian wanted to do a Brazilian style and so we did.
In this video you will learn the basics of Brazilian Style as well as see which plants we have used and how to arrange a contest winning Hardscape.
Enjoy the video and comment which fish you would love to see in this aquarium?
ps: Hurry up! We will stock the scape very very soon because thanks to the DARK START method the Scape is already cycled.

No fish for the moment. A good cleaning crew and add the fish (soul of the tank) a few days before photo shoot. :) Have you ever tried limnopilos Naiyanetri (algae eaters crabes) as cleaning crew ? Heard about it a few weeks ago and want to ty it !

looking forward to your DIY cabinet. I made an ADA style one with hardwood veneer plywood. Cut all the plywood out with a Track saw/plunge saw which left all the edges perfect (no splintering on the veneer). Put it together with Kreg pocket screws which made it quite easy to assemble. To hide the plywood edges I used iron-on edgeband. To cut out the hole for the pipes in the side and the back I used a router with a template cutter bit. I have some SketchUp file showing my design and cut list
I used TIKKURILA Helmi 10 (TVT 1934) paint to try and copy the ADA color. Used primer first which left a nice finish.
Thinking about buying a 90-P but next time think I might use medite tricoya MDF. £100 a sheet but meant to be weatherproof for 50 years.
    Good luck with your tank

This is a truly lovely aquascape and I want to try to copy it in a smaller scale, but without the sand path. Would it ruin the concept to plant MC in the front half with lilaeopsis, and solid HC with Eleocharis mini in the back half? In other words, your same plant choices, but making a green path instead of a white one. Alternatively, I could leave the path black. Is the sand a key part of the concept? (It's such a pain to keep nice). Thanks!

The funny thing is that in Brazil we don’t have the Brazilian style (at least not even our famous aquascapers refer to it that way).
All the Brazilian Portuguese articles about aquascape styles, none of them mentions a style of our own! How weird is that?

I am talking to every Brazilian influencer I know about it so we can also own and develop this style further.
I am watching many videos about it and learning so much!
Thanks for you beautiful way to showcase this style!
We use many stones bc it is easier to find than drift wood. Tho we have many available in nature, there are no “brands” that sells it on stores and popular belief is that you can only use from certain kinds of wood. Therefore, people don’t gather much as well.

Jurijs, is it possible to show how to change the scape from a 5 years old scape full of schrimp and fish. I did the half from mine aquarium, it succeed but realy cloudy and it took one month to stabilize the water value again. I did this cause the spiderwood was rotten and the scape becomes realy ugly.

you mean escaping a running tank? I wouldn't recommend doing it. You have to stock the fish temporary in a different aquarium. empty the old tank and rescape it. etc

about the sand path, how can I keep the sand from spreading down or stay stable at the path?

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You can use super glue and fix it in place. Works best without water.. after filling with water one can use small rocks to slow down the erosion
