That scene where Lucy is crying out her memories of BJ and she's not even really aware who she's talking to, and Felicia slowly starts to realize its BJ... That gets me every time. Lynn and Kristina knocked it out of the park!
This was one of the best stories ever to hit the soaps. GH was so great back in the 90's. Most of the characters are still around today. Brad Maul got robbed when they didn't give him that Emmy. And Felicia - suc thh a powerful performance how she slowly realizes what's going on - who the donor actually is a member of her family.
Unfortunately, most of the characters are not still around, just Felicia, Mac, Lucy, Kevin, Scott, Sonny, Ned, Jason, Laura and recently-returned Lois. We rarely see some of them.
I grew up on GH. Some of my earliest memories revolve around attempts to freeze Port Charles. I still watch the show when I can. THIS was peak General Hospital for me. These characters, this story, these actors....this was my GH.
Alan Quartermain was one of my favorites on GH. At 6:18 when he quietly says "what can I do" to Bobbie, you know he really is concerned, and wants to help...
He would have had to submit a reel of these scenes to be considered, they can’t just give him the reward. Brad was a very humble guy who didn’t need or want recognition or awards.
I remember so vividly watching these episodes, and when Mexican at BJ’s hard, it was so bitter sweet. I cried 36:0736:18 myself crazy. My little boy was six years old at the time, and I just thought as a mother how happy for one mother, but how so sad for the other
Almost 30 years ago, and it seems like yesterday. I remember this so vividly. I cried when BJ passed away; it was so sad. I had been watching GH since approximately 1967-68 and was an extra when they taped in Charleston SC for Terry and Kevin’s wedding in 1985. It was one of the most memorable times being on set with people I felt like I knew. 😊 🩵
I will never cry at any soap scenes again they way I cried through this one. Soaps today do not have the kind of heart they did 30 years ago.

GH at its Best.
The music during the scenes adds to the emotion
This will always be GH at its best, acting and writing, when Tony out his ear against Maxies chest was the definitive moment in this storyline

I loved how Alan was there for Lucy and that how BJ's death wasn't just about Bobbie and Tony but other characters too.
The beginning of the end of Tony.
I remember watching this as it aired back then - I agree with you. Losing BJ pretty much destroyed Tony; she was everything to him.
This is the Lucy Coe that I remember. She is still a great character
Ahh, Lucy Coe - my most favorite dingbat of soaps! I loved her!!
I met her recently and burst into tears because who didn’t want to be Lucy with that body and clothes back then!😂
They are all wonderful and they are all stars.
This has to be the best week of GH, and Kleenex should send ABC thank you cards for the business
gh needs to get back to this kinda s/ls fire frank bring wendy riche back
I love Stuart Damon so much!! I was shocked when I found out he passed away (last year, I think?)…he was such a sweetie!
Shocked? He was old and sick, this was almost 30 years ago, people grow older lol.
It’s every parent’s worst fear to outlive their child.
Can someone tell me why Brad Maule didn't win an Emmy for Best Actor in 1995? Big mistake as far as I can see.
You GOT IT. He and Jackie were DEFINITELY ROBBED!!!!!
Totally agree! He was amazing and convincing!!
I agree I remember coming home from school. I believe it was 8th grade and my mom was watching General hospital and she was crying.

What a great show.
"I just want it to stop and I can't make it stop."
There was none of the fast forwarding nonsense that most viewers nowadays…..unless you did it on your vcr…?
Probably the vcr.
Yes, many of us taped it on VHS back then and fast-forwarded through commercials or parts we didn't like. Wish I had kept them, but I re-used tapes.
A brief moment in this scene reminding us that Alan and Amy are (surprisingly?) friends with one another.
I hate to say this but this is the cruelty of life
Before Monica got plastic surgery and ended up looking like an alien
You realize it was 1994, almost 30 years ago right? Do you expect to look the same 30 years from now?
Lucy cries and no tears fall.
Typical that Lucy made it all about her. I can’t stand her.
Lucy was BJ’s stepmother at one point so it hit her hard too.
Lynn(Lucy)is an amazing complex character, love watching her
Lucy’s stupid bet with Damian Smith is the reason why Tony and Bobbie’s marriage fell apart
@@TheloniousJackson I don't condone Lucy making that bet with Damian but she didn't force Bobbie to be tempted by Damian
@@TheloniousJackson No Bobbie is the reason why Tony and Bobbie's marriage fell apart. She cheated on Tony with Damian.
