I used to work retail as a pharmacy tech and now I'm reconsidering maybe going to pharmacy school. I remember seeing how frustrated GREAT Pharmacists would get by the impatience and arrogance of patients while the Pharmacists are actively working to maintain the patient's livelihood. If I do Pharm school, I would not work retail... thats for sure.
The reason i want to get into pharmacy school is because learning about drugs and medicine is practical. Espicially with how the need for Vaccines came out after covid-19, it was pharmacists and pharmacologists who helped developed vaccines and boosters. Yes, it can be a hard and a long way, but nothing is easy in this life.
I mean,I am 16 and considering rn to persue it the future but after watching some videos and reading some comments,people say that it's a saturated field and no good anymore so,idk shld I still consider it
Hello, 👋🏽 It's not as saturated as people say. As of today, there is a high demand for retail pharmacists because many are leaving the field or going into industry. Evaluate and decide whether you like the field or not on your own. The money and status are still great if you like the corporate setting. The knowledge will forever be valuable. However, if deep down you don't like the field the degree cost might not be worth it.
