That's a question of so many people have ask, including me. And I've come to three conclusions. 1) This one is specific for each individual we need to know what God's plan and purpose is for our lives. Not every person is called to find 'the one' and get married. We have to be close enough to God to know if that is His will for us. If it isn't then we have to seek His guidance to be okay with that so we can fulfill our true purpose. 2) Sometimes we're just not ready yet to deal with that kind of love and relationship. And until we're ready it won't come. And we may have other relationships but the one God has for us may not be revealed until we are ready...or until they are. We might be ready for them but they're not ready for us. So we just have to continue to walk by faith that if it's God's will for us to find each other we will in due time. 3) This is sad but true; sin has so affected this world that the natural order of things is out of whack. And that goes for men and women coming together as God intended. Especially for black women, the numbers are against us, culture is against us. And there are so many more women than viable men that it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Especially if you are a woman who wants to do things according to God's way. Just like some people get cancer, some people get hit by a car in the prime of their life, some people suffer miscarriages, or whatever the case may be, there are some of us who will never find the one. And not because that's the way God made it but because that's how sin has affected our world. We ask "why me, Lord, why me," but we also have to ask "why not me?" That's a hard truth that I've had to face. Through it all, the bottom line is to seek God's will so that our desires are pleasing to Him and fulfill His purpose for our lives. Then when we put our desires before Him we can be assured that He will answer.
