As a Polish person I was very surprised by her reaction but as a Polish person trying to live in Spain I quickly remembered how it feels to not be understood that something normal for one country absolutely terrifies you and you might have a very strong response. Big hug, girl!! I feel you!! 🌻
"Eating from a tree" is the most naturaly und healthiest way to eat - no chemical treatments, the taste is original, the best directly from the nature ... BUT: I'm a european girl from Germany - -it is totally normal for us ;o)
This old man was so friendly and open hearted. He wanted to get in conact with you by showing and offering some friuts right from his enviroment. It meant a lot to him you know? In my opinion, your behavior was kind of disrespectful to this man, because you laughed at him and that made me feel really sad for this old man.
On the other hand, you said several times, that you dont want to eat it - and if two cultures meet each other, BOTH have to be respectful.
Okay guys we got to cut her some slack. I'm sure they understand oh, she's from another land with different customs and a different way of Lies she's learning to adjust. After all she still learning about life in general. From her point of view she really doesn't mean to be disrespectful. I personally feel she's allowed some time to grow into being in a different environment. I'm confident that it will work out I have faith in her

Iyah, this video resonates with me bc I'm an American woman who moved to Poland last year and now I live in my own house in the countryside and I'm always freaking out about nature here, including the snails. LOL I'm 42 years old and I behave the same ways as you have in this video. I am thankful you're sharing your experiences because now I feel like someone else gets it! Anyway, I love Poland. I hope you continue to have fun in PL! :)

@@thatssorafiyah7739 I don't want to speak for her, but I don't think she meant it as an insult babe. A lot of us over a certain age no longer get to experience life as we once did as youngsters. Life happens and we're constantly adapting to different stages of ourselves. I don't know anything about you, but you seem to still have a youthful innocence and I find you refreshing! ❤
I believe when she said "Child behavior" she meant your behavior with the fruit and practically having to beg you to eat it and all the running around being child-like along with the crying knowing they would never put you in harm's way.
They were laughing 😂 like this poor girl is way out of her element lol… Tata did good with the camera and they were both super nice to offer Iyah the fruit from the tree it’s such an amazing experience to learn and try new things. This one was kind of funny and sad lol

I'm half polish and understood what his family said, they seem really sweet and nice, especially Tata. Iyah that's how it is in Poland, going out in the wilderness is something that comes with the Polish culture, mushroom picking is like a sport, you are such a city girl haha. I've never been to Lodz yet but I'll go someday.

My personal story to share : when I took my my little daughter from the States to rural Poland for the first time to see her Polish family, she fell in love with storks, frogs, turtles ( yes, there are turtles in eastern Poland) and fishing with her Polish uncles.
There are turtles in all of Poland

I'm terrified of snails too or anything that crawls and I grew up in Jamaica where I saw snails every day so I would never criticize her. I have friends who are terrified of spiders, flies, bees and I'm not so we all have our little quirks!

I remember seeing Gryllotalpidae for the first time in my life. There was something flying by the street lamp that was bigger than a hornet and much louder, so it caught my attention and suddenly lost control and fell hitting the street. Out of curiosity what it was I came closer to see it and for a split second I got scared and ran away with one thought "what was that deformed fly on the increase of hormones from another planet". 😛
I have nothing against snails, but there are animals on our planet that look really strange. I am glad for them that they are here. I hope, I don't have to meet them in my life again hahaha it's nice of them that they introduce themselves and for me it's better if everyone goes their own way.

This was hilarious and frightening to watch at the same time. I appreciate that I grew up in California where even in schools you are exposed to nature camps, and the outdoors. Wow, never go to a tropical place were some snails can be gigantic.
If you have children and you still live in area they will teach you to love nature. They will not be afraid. Next time wear long pants and walking boots and cover your hair. No fear.
